That is a very nice kayak and at a great price too! I'm looking for something exactly like this for my wife. She doesn't want a peddle or flipper drive so this light weight 10 foot would be perfect for her. This is also an excellent choice for someone wanting to get into kayaking / kayak fishing without jumping into the top tier prices of a Native Watercraft, Hobie, etc. The Crosswater 100 seems like a perfect entry level kayak and when/if someone is ready to upgrade in the future it would make a perfect "buddy" kayak!
@@lowlifeangler I'm going to check them all out and compare them to the Crosswater. I have a T.S. in town so those others are easily available to me, thanks!
Hey man! Sorry I took a while to get back to ya, currently in the process of moving houses so it’s pure chaos! I appreciate you watching as always brother. It’s definitely a great entry level kayak if you’re not wanting something decked out for fishing, and just easy to get on the water for a short trip. I agree the seat could be better, since for fishing a higher up frame seat is preferred for a long day on the water. But this is still a fun easy simple kayak to own for sure.
Great video. Went and bought one for my teen son. I took a test paddle and loved it. One odd question though, what does the bungee on the back of the seat actually do?
That's great to hear! Glad my video helped you decide on it. That is a great questions, and I don't have an exact answer for you. I've personally used them to just bungee down the seat while transporting, or by connecting them to the back bungees to keep the seat from falling down while using it.
Hi! This is a great video - thank you so much! I just purchased for recreational kayaking on a lake during the summer. May I ask what delivery was like? Was it a huge box? Did you have to put anything together? Thanks so much!
Hey thanks for watching! Glad it helped out. Mine was delivered in a large box, no assembly required! Just had a couple stickers to remove and it’s good to go. Just need a paddle, life vest, and maybe a dry bag for extra storage!
Honestly I’m not completely sure. But I feel like there has to be options for aftermarket seats. Here’s one I found from a little research but haven’t fully looked if it would work on the crosswater yet: amzn.to/3V7INGB I’m sure there’s others similar too! Just make sure to use Marine Goop when screwing into that HDPE material to seal it properly.
They should Homes, this kayak is close to my Tamarack pro except no frame seat. I have a Yakattack Switchblade transducer arm, Double Header paddle holder , and Omega rod holder. Mounted a 4" rail on the lid for the Garmin Striker 4 plus and the Yakattack Nocqua battery in the compartment.
It just popped up for recommend videos , been looking at videos for heavy duty J bars and kayak carts, probably pickup a Native Slayer propel in September
Good video man. I saw this kayak on Dick sports Good. I was wondering how is this kayak. This is the first review of this kayak I have seen. This is a nice kayak. I just wish that it had dry Storage but you can at it on to the kayak. I have a question? How did it feel on your feet 🦶 being barefooted 👣 on the kayak & how did the molded in foot Brace ? I have never owned a kayak with that kind of foot brace before & was wondering about them because I have to kayak barefooted 👣 style because I have big very very Extremely wide feet sz15 6E wide ( which is very very extremely wide feet 🦶 ) with very chubby fat wide toes that are Evenly straight across making my foot very very Extremely wide at 6 1/2 inches wide from my big toe to my lil toe. My foot outgrow shoes , socks , & boots when I was young & I am a chubby fat dude with very very extremely wide feet 🦶 & toes so I need something that comfortable for me. Thanks you for sharing this video buddy.
Hey man, first off I really appreciate you watching my review! Glad you enjoyed it. It has a small dry storage hatch, but a dry bag would definitely be great in the front straps. As far as the foot rests, they are basic molded in spots. I think a wide foot would be fine. However to be honest, if I was a bigger guy, I’d look into a 12 ft kayak that is wider for better stability and comfort, with an upgraded high seat. They will be heavier and less easy to transport, but you might be more comfortable in it.

The seat looks uncomfortable Homes, go with a Lifetime Tamarack Pro , Teton, or labeled Stealth at Tractor Supply. Those have a frame seat

Definitely like the higher up frame style seats. I have one on my Slayer max. But I like this kayak for short trips and hard to launch areas.
@@FishATX No problem man, I hope the move goes smooth for you. Great feedback too, appreciate it as always!
Great review. Might have to go check them out
Thank you! Let me know if you have any questions 👊
Nice review. I'm looking for a light creek small river throw and go kayak. I'm going to check them out. Maybe find a beater too.
Thanks! Yeah this would be perfect for that. Super light, simple, just throw it in and get to fishing!
Just picked this up at dicks for $300. I can’t wait to take it out. Might have to start fishing again just because of it!
Congrats on the new kayak! You'll have a lot of fun with it. Highly recommend fishing on it! It's a good time!

Any chance you know if you can upgrade the seat? If so what options are they seems like the seat is stuck in that spot can’t raise it

Quick question..... Does the rail take the standard accessories like YakAttack?

Yeah it should fit any of those rail type accessories! Haven’t tried it on this one yet though.
