Good choice! This is great first kayak. Easy to load and unload. Paddles very well, and the seat is very comfortable. What state are you in? We are in Georgia.
Thanks for the video. I live in Athens GA. Got any good used kayaks for sale? Looking for something begger than the 10 ft 30 inch Pellican Bandit and it's fun for exercise but looking for something a bit more stable for fishing. I've been looking at the Pelican Catch 100 Classic at Academy but haven't decided for sure yet.
That’s awesome. Where have you tried out so far we have a lot of great water to explore here in Georgia. I went today after work to paddle board with my 13 year old son @fortyargo in Winder. So refreshing.
@@greatamericansurvival Cool. I've only had time to go to Sandy Creek Park so far this year but like to go up to Lula park in the north end of Lanier and paddle up as far as I can until hitting decent current above Belton bridge. Also like fishing up at Lake Russel and Hartwell. Up the Tugaloo river south of Yonah Dam is good too. Lots of places as you said. I have not been to Fort Yargo yet though and really need to give it a try.
There’s some differences. Different brand, and comes with the hatch and dry bag. I had to put an aftermarket hatch on my Lifetime Teton. The Tamarack is a little different than the Teton in size and does have a hatch and also adjustable feet rest.
Love the improvements over the original Teton . Enjoy your videos very much ! Thank you
Thank you for that life jacket recommendation. I just ordered one and it’s very nice to know a kayaking veteran recommends it
I'm going to check it out, Might get one for my daughter! You've come a long way from the burger flipping days my friend! Keep it up
Nice video and nice review of the kayak! I really think it's a very nice one. Appreciate you sharing!
Great review! I’m buying it this week 🙌🏼
Looking to buy my first kayak. Excellent review by the way!

@@greatamericansurvival NC. I wonder if can handle the weight on my own. 5”3, 126lbs. Athletic build. I think I can but would appreciate input
I bought this today! All 6 scupper holes weren't cut out haha. Great quality control😅. Seems ok otherwise but haven't used it yet.....
Thanks for the review I’m going to go get one today! Didn’t feel like spending $700 on an old town
Have fun! It’s a great kayak. It’s amazing what you get for the money. Let us know what you think about it.
Awesome video! Thanks!
What do those elastics on the back of the seat do? Thanks.
Thanks for the video.

What’s your price range?
@@greatamericansurvival Thanks for replying but I found a Lifetime Yukon Angler with low use on Marketplace and got it Saturday.

I just got one! Do you think this kayak needs the seat modification too?
Can you xpand on why sit on top kayak is safer than sit in, thank you
No expert but a sit in kayak is harder to flip back over if you flip over in the water because it fills with water
Is there a reason my middle 2 scupper holes under the seat are not drilled out like the other 4 holes?
Mine arent either. You can just drill it out but I have had any reason to yet.
Cheers
probably going to drill mine out for a scupper hole fish finder attachment.
Isn’t this just a Lifetame Teton/Tamerack? Why is it named quest?

Its a Dicks branded model. It is made by lifetime for Dicks
Can you stand up on it?
I can stand and paddle but not fish. I’m 6’0 almost 200.
👍
55lb Kayak? A one-size doesn't fit-all footrest. Can't stand up on this boat.
$400 tho
Awesome video thanks!
