Hearing the Pallet Town song from the original games almost always makes me feel some deep emotion welling up inside me. It makes me think about being a little kid and my mom buying me Blue Version so I could play it on my Gameboy pocket. From that point on I was obsessed with Pokémon and gaming in general. Since then, my mom has passed, I'm in my 30s, and this song hits my heart deeply. Its not about the song itself, it's about the memories and times associated with the first time I heard it.
Pokémon will always hold a special place in my heart no matter how old I get.
Thank you very much for sharing that. I'm truly sorry for your loss, yet it warms my heart to hear that the song manages to hit your heart and rekindle old memories, regardless of it being the original or not

in various pokemon games, usually they give you the chance to capture "god-like pokemon", like arceus for example.
And some games, like sword & shield, the pokemon start "growing up" (Dynamax) randomly and destroying everything and you have to kill/capture another god to stop it.

I love the little piano solo at the beginning and flute solo at the end, I feel like they really stand out and add a lot of feeling to the piece. Amazing job as always!

I'm currently playing through all of the pokemon games and hearing pallet town reminds me of how far I've come and where my adventure begun.
I love this chiptuns layer on the remix, it gives an old-school feel while the instruments breath new life into the track.

What a trip down memory lane. Flipping the batteries over and over to try and get as much time out of my GBC as possible. Using the light attachment on long car rides home at night. Pulling the trading cord out at the last second to trick the game into letting you and your friend keep your pokemon and the traded pokemon. Thanks for the nostalgia trip Qumu. Just another awesome remix.

What a great remix! One of your best ones, imo.
I love the way you kept the original three tracks from the GB version with sounds that reminisce about the original wave sounds. My most favorite thing is the counterline though, it adds so much color to the song. Especially at 0:45 you can feel the adventure spirit :). Love playing along!

I can't explain my love for this song, I grew up playing Pokémon and this song was always my favorite and this remix is even better than the original. Thank you very much Qumu for doing something worthy of Arceus
Those snares are satisfying and has a good balance of music synths, beat, and what sounds to be an 8 bit bass. Really good how you blend the instruments together in these remixes I would actually see myself listening to this at like a chill casino or restraint dine in, has the vibe and music blend! Never played gen 1 Pokemon, but this reminds me when i played Black when I was 10. We were moving, and Pokemon helped me to get through it all. Very nostalgic and sad, but nothing less than what i expected from this channel. :)
