This match is a true contrast of styles… You have Desanto, who will even put himself in harms way to keep up an unrelenting pace versus fix who is known to stall most of the match
Freestyle fix is a different beast than folk style fix

@xzjayz7925 I think alot people think if someone is taking shots they are stalling. I don't think they realize Fix is controlling the center of the mat while attempting to get underhooks, snap downs, and arm drags.

Austin wastes too much time finger locking and slapping around. He was busy trying to out slap Vito when Vito pulled, hooked a single, took him down, laced him and rolled him like a rag doll. He's got the fire and the skill, but he needs to get his head back into it.
The match was not fair. Fix is able to bench press almost 20 lbs more than Desanto can. Also Desanto is a minority. For both of those reasons they should have given Desanto a 10 point advantage at the beginning. Then Desanto would have won. So Desanto should have won. DESANTO WON!! MEXICAN POWER!!!!
I personally think this is just a demonstration of the gap in skill level between NCAA wrestling and senior level wrestling. Its just not close. And its very hard for most athlete's to make the adjustments required to start over and humble themselves.
It's nice to see DeSanto finally mature. I think in all sports we should have more strictness on trash talking especially when it gets personal or talking down to someone

I think this is a good call. felt similarly for a while. his motor + tenacity with the folk background would give him quite a leg up on the competition. even before he's able to develop his skill set I can just see him drowning pretty good guys with pressure and pace
I don't think I've ever seen fix take a shot before.
When these two wrestle I always think Fix has 10 pounds on DeSanto.

why US didnt make freestyle as basic style. Why they need folks style wrestling - to be honest it is different wrestling, Wrestlers became less technical and almost all exept few are relying on conditioning but trechnique is mediocre in freestyle
