    I love how his intensity level is high even when he loses, he comes right back in the next match on high. Many wrestlers who compete can't bring it back up right away.

    God damn I wanted him to get that Natty! People give Austin shit sometimes because of his intensity. But I love it man. And other than one instance I can think of (with Micic), you can tell that even WITH some of the extra stuff… the guys who have been in the other corner of those matches respect him. And they respect that intensity. I’ve heard Roman, Nick, Dayton, and Spencer speak very highly of him. You gotta love a guy like that who pushes you to make you better. Especially someone like Nick. He’s a very driven dude, and he doesn’t give out respect easily. But he’s spoken very frankly about liking to wrestle Austin because he knows he will leave everything on the mat. I hope we haven’t seen the last of Desanto in this sport

    • @cgmoran91

      I was pulling for him. He has grown out of some of his antics his first year at Iowa. He has always been a "heart on your sleeve" guy. I don't really care what online commenters say about him. I do pay attention to what his fellow wrestlers say. I like that your pointed Roman, Nick, Dayton, and Spencer speak highly of him. Great wrestlers need other great wrestlers to push them. He has beaten 4 different NCAA champs over the course of his career. Spencer Lee is the reason he came to Iowa. I glad this young man found a place where he is accepted.

    • @noBearAdventures
      @noBearAdventures 2 роки тому +1

      @@cgmoran91 I agree Chris. He has grown into who he wanted to be, but couldn’t quite find… if that makes sense. Spencer knew that the Brands could bring that out in him. Gotta give credit to Lee… it must’ve been HEARTWRENCHING to lose in his senior year to Austin. ESP when it spoiled his perfect record at states. But Spencer is the consummate leader. He knew what they could do together as a 1-2 punch… at a school that was always known for those early weight 1-2 punches. I know Brands adores Austin. Maybe they bring him on staff. I wouldn’t be surprised

    He wrestled a good friend of mine multiple times at NCAAs, and I still love this guy. He is as fierce of a competitor as I have ever seen, and it saddens me to see him go. It’d be cool to see him go get on a world team, he will be in the mix for sure if tries. The respect he gave to wrestling was reciprocated to him through a lot of his competitors, and I am sure he will look back and be proud of himself for everything he did.

Keep freestyle good and Greco-Roman nationals Olympics your better than Roman bravo he dances away and you can beat everyone once you learn to pummel up! instead of tieing up! Start using throws all practice long kept your old tricks but surpass these others with throws and sweeps kept you in these tight matches me and randy Lewis were competitors I was 114.5 and 125.5 1980 alternate for the 80 Moscow Olympics they boycotted.
