I teared up a little bit during divided sky on 4/23/22, but this song had me absolutely bawling my eyes out on 12/30/22, which is one of my favorite shows ever.
For years, I thought Phish was terrible. I thought they were goofy and silly. But what I didn’t realize is how great musicians they really are or how fun their concerts can be. Now that I’m a huge fan I realize that they also write very profound, meaningful lyrics.

Ok.. I'll be the one.. maybe there are more below here... This song has always been hard to pull off vocally for the band live... but with open string phrases being the core of the tune.. well without a capo... thougher than some to move to different capo.. but even that said... thats pretty objectively a WAY below par version for the band... I mean... I love that tune... but.. wow.. I mean they definitely flailed in comparison to other versions vocally, and with the guitar lines, and the groove wasn't the strongest.... and the outro was horrible with no vocals etc... but other than that they NAILED IT!!! 😂 anyways.. strange choice of one to release...
When are these guys going to bring it to a really obscure location? They should at least play Maui and raise money for the fires. All you lot heads should have enough in the till to make the voyage. This year's summer tour is weak. Maybe Yellowstone? Yosemite? Montana? Key West? Seriously. Make it big. Make it grand. You're the best touring band ever. Get it together.
