I had no idea that anyone was still making commercially successful "music to listen to" these days. This is not Pink Floyd but it fills the hole that 50 years have left. This is great, wish i had found this band back in 83. Regards from the UK.
Well, they’ve been around for almost that long, so you’ve got forty years and change of brilliant material to catch up on. Congratulations! Gonna be a hell of a ride.
In 83 only about 5 people had found them probably. 1988 probably a few thousand. 92-94 was when they started getting nationally known. Then 95-97 super popular
Being a younger Phan for years, I’m so happy that many got to feel their shows in the moment. Both for phish and the dead. I’ve listened to them for years and for me it feels like it’s an archive of lessons to be learn/understand from years past. Sometimes it’s just simply a good jam, a KILLER jam, or deeper than that where I learn much more. I’m going to the first dead night as my high school graduation gift for myself and I know how much this’ll change for me. I’m so glad people got to experience these bands within their own lifetime.
i doubt we could really cut loose there tho… i mean can people find spots to dance? i imagine they expect the attendees to actually stay in their seats…
Happy 420 y'all Phish fr life surrender to the flow been going to this band since I was 7 I've grown with this band and the community never ends to amaze me peace and love
It makes me happy this is happened. It makes me sad that I was not there. I am hopeful that y’all will go back, and I will move mountains to get there!
Love you boys ❤ and sorry i could not make it 😢 But i have tickets to MONDGREEN and im positive i oicked the best shows of what will be an amazing summer tour 2024

Some people play faster, do a bunch of tapping...etc. that's great, and Fun..I am talking about someone that can COMPOSE like any and all of the GREATS...but that symphony is at his fingertips...
This venue may be one of those that only works in PERSON YOU have to be there because if you look at a screen shot of a show from any other show it looks epic but this just looks cheesy and that is strange because they spent a ton of money on this venue Had to be there to get it I guess
I agree - their use of it seems underwhelming from the TV angle. Its like 1 screen saver per song. I keep waiting for something to actually happen. Id feel distracted.
Ive only watched the freebies, but are the graphics ever interactive with the band's playing? Bathtub Gin - the end sounded like they were playing for a cue, and blew it...and the animations ran out before the song ended?
Those people are............correct and I hate to admit it. If you thought there was ANY band that could maximize the potential of the sphere it would be Phish.
@@meltingface2558 yes i don't disagree, but the ad nauseum comments are getting annoying. also, developing imagery that can be flexible to lengthy improvisations is a unique challenge. other bands don't have to deal with this. what would have been better?
Second set night 2 I realize sphere is a gimmick. I was there for the band not a cool screen. I don’t need the visuals on bicycle day! Sick second set night 2!
You get a gold star for this comment. For real, I'm soooooooooo tired of people's opinions, comments, wishes and what THEY think the professionals should or should not be doing. Just cause I don't line something doesn't mean I need the world to hear about it.
Phish should have hired whoever did U2s Sphere shows...this is not that impressive. Not using the tech to its best. I know Phish isn't a "stage show" band - but look how well U2 presents compared to these silly screen saver graphics.
@@fals_one Ive decided it was really just the uninteresting LIVE PHISH productions. The fan videos tell the story much better. I have a blender on order.

Had this on in the background while I made an omelette. It turned out pretty well, since Phish is good omelette-making music.
I just made omlets for my girl and I with morel mushrooms that I found yesterday. It was delightful.
I also had this on while making eggs on a wrap. They turned out excellent.
Fk it, ima make some Eggs 🍳 😂
I made Phish Tacos.
😅
Agreed!. Ive cooked many meals to phish in the background
This band is a genuine gift
The most genuine
i love witnessing gratitude. It is an exceptionally profound emotion.
For real to be alive during the era of the Grateful Dead and now phish. I feel like I won

This is amazing. Phish and the sphere are meant for each other.
They should just take it on tour with them from now on.
All I see are a bunch of floating white dots. What incredibly boring visuals.

The mix and sound is unreal; you can hear every grain so clearly!
Wow, such the perfect song with that visual
Thank you, team of heroes and heroines
Sound is really good.
they should play indoors more often, I'd love to hear them in an old theater
Perfect balance between a dry sand and a wet sand. Sounds great 🪷☕️🪷
Monster jam. They're inspired as hell by the sphere and it shows
Agreed!
No one mentioned that Trey was on the 'Ocedoc' ::: hasn't used that guitar on stage for years! Never thought he would pull that out again.
Did he just pull it out for this song or set? I’m too lazy to do my research. Ok I might.
Trey is the Best Living guitar player...it's plain and simple kids....

Love that Uni-Vibe at 3:20, with it's subtle kick on. What a perfect effect for this band, and it is used so tastefully...never overstated.
All the love!!!
Thank god that Phish was first after the U2 circus. Nobody and I mean nobody deserves it more.
Absolute 🔥🔥🔥!
I recommend you start with "Junta".
I wish Jerry Garcia was alive to see the sphere
He would've loved it
Bear would have loved it
They really do sound good at Sphere. First night was a little shaky, but they seem comfortable now.
Wow they need to play here forever

Asking this question out of general curiosity (and ignorance) - What prevents them from having their usual backline of amplifiers at this venue?
The Sphere is outfitted with 176,000 speaker drivers, it may have been redundant in this venue?
