UK Summer Tubbing 2021 - White Cloud Mountain Minnows & Staeck Endlers

Hi guys, so this is our first summer tubbing video of 2021, we've done it before but this is the first time we are documenting it, hope you enjoy although its not a great video IMO. Any criticism is always welcome, especially constructive criticism which truly helps us reflex and improve :) Thank you to ALL our subscribers we have at this moment, sincerely, each and every one of you are very much appreciated by myself and my partner. :)

summer tubbing sounds great. in the future if i ever get the space and funds i would love to do a big mixed pond of koi, goldfish, sturgeon and natives and if possible try to do a bigger version of summer tubbing by adding some aquarium fish to the pond in summer but unsure of what fish are suitable for that and what to do with surprise cold snaps

Haha, this is a pretty old video. Surprised you found it! Yea, we tried some five banded barbs last year and lost half due to a sudden cold snap, but you can easily get away with white clouds half the year, rice fish ALL year and fire green tetras, maybe half year as well. Actually, rosy barbs are another good one for a good half year in the UK

I couldn't be using a heater, cost way too much in the UK.

Yea it’s still crazy costs to light and or heat aquariums in the uk, luckily there are a fair few nice fish that don’t need a heater like rice fish and minnows, endlers are also ok without a heater as long as the house isn’t crazy cold

Thanks Philip, yea really hoping to get them breeding! Had to add in a heater yesterday as the temps seemed a bit lower :) All the best :)

@@Aquadiction Weather's been really poor but hopefully they are hardy enough.Are they the long finned,I really like those.

Hi Philip, yep they are the long finned :) (though I've seen longer finned ones TBH). They seem a lot happier since we put the heater out, kind of cowering in one corner until we did that! Just about to put the blue stars out (again with heaters). The forecast for the next 10 days seem pretty awful for this time of year ;(
