Thanks so much for doing these videos- like I commented on another video, my story is so similar. I had gut problems which definitely led to #fearstriction so that I could feel well enough to keep training hard, and like you, ended up unintentionally low carb, I developed amenorrhea, I did end up with bone density problems because I was still eating some gluten and then despite 19% body fat, I started to lose muscle and became very lean in the top half of my body but couldn't shift hip fat, and also developed insomnia, which increased the anxiety and body image issues. Just like you, it was the second stress fracture Ii got that really rang the alarm bells for me and pushed me to get to the bottom of it, more than any other problem. It was when a doctor told me I shouldn't get back to running until I got my ferritin and vitamin D normalised- no you can't keep me from running! I didn't seek any of this out either, and all along I just wanted to be a better runner. I'm looking forward to watching the rest of your videos through my healing journey :) The difference between us is that my coeliac disease isn't officially diagnosed yet. Thanks to your videos, I'm hoping to avoid going through all this again when I finally get my diagnosis and cut out the gluten (but UP the carbs!).

Wow yes, it certainly gets complicated, right? Let's hope you have some answers soon and can get on an eating plan that makes you feel better. I agree with your doc about taking some time off...running will always be there. Focus on getting healthy first! Keep in touch XO

I've only watched 5 minutes of the video right now and I had to pause... I'm histamine intolerant and probably gluten intolerant as well. I don't know if its celiac or not, as I'm too scared to actually take a test for this as well (because I'd obviously have to eat gluten again after about two years trying my hardest not to - and if I do, I'll immediately get a real bad stomachache and bloating and what not... similar to my reaction with histamine but more gut related...) ... Damn I can feel you right now^^ (--> continues watching)

Your videos are literally amazing. It's impossible to overstate that!
Do you think a bone density scan is necessary during recovery?

Necessary, no. Interesting and perhaps scary enough to keep you on the right track, yes!

Hey Jill :) I wanted to ask, did your doctor ever prescribe you on Femara instead of birth control or any other medication to help you induce a period?
Please let me know whenever you have the time. Thank you so much!!

Hello Karlee, I was not prescribed (and would not take...even if I was) any prescriptions to induce a period. It was important to me to make this journey on my own since amenorrhea is/was ultimately under my control. I had to do the hard work of changing my mindsets and habits...and I know I am better for it :)

@@jillcolangelopsych Thank you so much for responding :) I still have mindsets and habits that need to change... I'm trying so hard to conquer them. Also, thank for making your UA-cam videos. They really have helped me! >3 :)

@Karlee Youngblood Hi Karlee..I have also been prescribed by the doctor to induce my period.. I am on the 5th pill today and supposed to take 10. I am just wondering if the pill ever helped you to bring on your period.

Thanks so much for your videos Jill! I recently got my period back, thanks to you. It’s been like 5 months since I stopped exercising and I notice that whenever I do do light exercise, it takes forever for me to fall asleep and my sleep is a lot lighter still. I’m wondering if this will improve so that I can get back to exercising?

Ahhh I am so happy to hear this! Your symptom of waking up in the middle of the night tells me that you are not all healed yet and probably need to take more time off. Insomnia is a sign that your body is still likely in panic mode.
