This is pretty much the complete opposite of what I've learned about what to eat with SIBO. This subject is just all over the map and so many "experts" just disagree or contradict each other at this point. I'm going to eat what I can tolerate. The question is: how do I KILL this bad bacteria off for good, to put an end to this madness?

Your recommendations confused me even more than before. I suffer from Hydrogen Sibo myself and what helped me the most were bacteriophages from Russia. I live in Switzerland and it is not available anywhere in Europe. In Russia you can buy it in any pharmacy. I now have to wait until my friend travels to Russia again because of the sanctions. The whole story makes you cry.

I have loved all your videos, but recommending brassica vegetables and onions and garlic just doesn't seem to make sense, nor do I see the logic behind it. I have H2S SIBO, and garlic and the brassica vegetables are my worst triggers. I would love to know what research backs that up.

Great video! Not sure about the recommendation for the Brassica family vegetables as the organosulfur compounds in cauliflower/broccoli/etc. can definitely be used as a substrate to produce hydrogen sulfide, therefore causing symptoms. Desulfovibrio types are not the only sulfate reducing bacteria implicated in H2S SIBO. I can tell you this not only from experience, but also from multiple other clinicians noting H2S SIBO patients to be highly sensitive to brassica vegetables.
Really appreciate this series as there really isn’t much out there on H2S SIBO, so this is great!

While I haven't seen any human studies showing that brassica veggies decrease H2S producers in the small bowel specifically (so, no small bowel aspirate studies yet), we do have evidence that brassica veggie consumption lowers H2S producers in stool: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/28296348/ :)

I love your work, and follow you closely. Thank you! I hope that you are well in your recovery.
I started treating Hydrogen SIBO using FCcidal and Dysbiocide then started getting Sulfurous gas... I was wondering if my treatment was creating an increase in H2S bacteria and you seemed to have answered my suspicion. I watched your video on SIBO Herbs and H2S Herbs. I would love to see a video where you discuss how you approach Hydrogen and H2S at the same time, what combinations of herbs, the role of prokinetics with sulfur, etc.
As a side note, below are a couple areas that I would love to see videos about, if there seems a great enough need in the community and interest on your end:
    (1) Mitochondrial Dysfunction and Mast Cell Dysfunction, I would love to continue to follow your work on the connections here and Gut Dysbiosis.
    (2) Klebsiella - I would love to see more information and research regarding SIBO and Root Vegetables. I have managed Ankylosing Spondylitis for years with a low starch diet. I hope to one day bring root vegetables back into my diet.

One thing that should be talked about is HPA axis dysfunction. I Can only temporarily heal my Gut on these protocols and then I’m right back at square one.
Getting enough calories and lowering this total stress was completely necessary to heal my gut.
Get enough calories and carbs don’t work so much and don’t stress so much.
Without addressing that my adrenal fatigue would not improve. And my gut would not Long term heal.

    • @gutmicrobiomequeen
      @gutmicrobiomequeen  2 роки тому +1

Yesssss! This is HUGE! However, there is evidence now that what we call "adrenal fatigue" or even "HPA axis dysfunction" might have very little to do with the adrenal glands themselves!
Rather, what we call "HPA Azix dysfunction" or "adrenal fatigue" tends to have significant overlap with the autonomic nervous system, limbic system, gut brain axis, and mental health. So, I tend to talk about it in that context here and on the IBS Freedom Podcast.

Okay so a few people poo pooing this video because " I have h2s sibo how can you tell me to eat sulphur foods" 100% she is correct, I have made huge gains since slowly reducing saturated fat and reintroducing carbs and fodmaps (even onions) BUT I CAN'T EAT ONIONS I HERE YOU SAY? no, you can't eat much.. its all about portions, I am talking a pin head amount, each day, slowly increase. Its all about portions, don't go from 20g of ghee with each meal to none, maybe a small amount of veggies like a fork full, reduce saturated fat by maybe 5 grams a week or so. Its slow and steady modulation, no where in this vid did she imply you need to go out with h2s sibo and down a kg of garlic and onions but 100% she is correct. Slowly over time increase these foods by seemingly silly small amounts but do so consistently while working on stress and you will improve. I did in 2/3 weeks! My gf who also got h2s sibo... funny that, both got it at the same time she at my diet because I was doing the shopping! Both of us were eating high saturated fat diet, really high in peanut butter and other nut butters daily and for me it was lots of ghee and she was also having lots of coconut oil and we heavily reduced carbs and fodmaps. She cured her self reintroducing and is 90% better (shes a vegetarian) I eat meat and was worse off so Im about 60% better but thats huge and still improving each week.

@@gutmicrobiomequeen Are lectins in nuts problematic? In case of H2S SIBO there already is an inflamed gut, should those who have H2S SIBO be extremely careful not to inflame the gut lining to much while simultaneously trying to heal it.

@@enlightenedmystery9019 1. I don't fully buy into the lectins = bad thing, honestly and 2. even if I did, I can't think of a reason why H2S overproducers specifically couldn't tolerate them. Yes, there's inflammation, but that's hardly exclusive to H2S overproduction.
