I started treating myself for SIBO on Saturday. THANK YOU. 26 years of pain. So many doctors visits, without answers. I can't believe how much better I feel in just five days, it's like night and day. How many times have I said to a doctor: "Why is the left side of my stomach so painful and swollen?" and they'd just shrug and tell me to take ibuprofen for the pain? I've lost 5 pounds since Saturday, the left side of my stomach is almost symmetrical with the right. This video has changed my life and that is not an exaggeration. Thank you again. What treatment plan
I’ve had a sharp pain on the lower left side of my abdominal with extreme flatulence whenever I eat anything (relieved when I passed gas) and now I’m wondering if this is what it is.

My biggest question and stressor… I’ve been fighting my GI for a Sibo test. One day when I finally get it done, we’ll taking this approach ( low fodmap, enzymes, and everything you mentioned) reduce my chances of testing positive? I feel like I need to suffer until my test just to ensure that they see it. Should I take enzymes in the meantime or wait until my test???
Oh my god. I was diagnosed with IBS a year ago and thought this is just my life now. In pain every day. This makes so much more sense, everything fits. Everything. I was in so much pain and now I think I found a way out. Oh my god thank you.

I have suffered from bloating, frequent burping, chronic migraine and poor sleep for years. I have recently begun to suspect SIBO, although getting the right advice from the NHS here in the UK might prove difficult. @@Anomaly1111 Better to use a grain like basmati and even better if you let it cool down, say until next day. The carbs will become resistant, hence the impact on insulin peaks is much lower. Always eat in moderation. Coach Carl.

I’ve suffered from IBS for years, seen doc after after gastroenterologist, no one has ever recommended a SIBO test, my daughter accidentally came across the symptoms of SIBO - sharing them with me saying “mum, I think you have this” ….. After seeing a gastro & dietitian & getting nowhere with both - a friend put me on to a nutritionist with whom I discussed SIBO with, she helped me organise a SIBO home breathe kit, just finished the first lactulose test, I’m hoping I test positive to SIBO so I can finally be cured. I really learned a lot from your presentation. I was diagnosed with SIBO and candida by my functional medicine doctor. You're right. I see so many differing opinions on the SIBO and candida diets. Both diets combined are so restrictive. I've already lost over 30 pounds because of SIBO. I was happy to see you show white basmati rice is ok! Thanks for all your research.

How to kil sibo
I’m new to your channel I been suffer with severe gut problem for 4 yrs - diagnosed with h pylori anf too antibiotics 4x I feel worse now than before . I seen 3 gi drs but at this point I feel lost - was not never tested for SIBO Before put I have all the symptoms of bloating , constipation ,excess gas , severe pain , brain fog , gut flare anf severe flood sensitivity- sometimes I don’t know Whst to eat because of the food reaction anf flare
Even thou bean cause gas I notice it help to heal me from a flare thst is black bean when soft fir 4hrs before cooking
At thr moment i use bob red mill gluten-free flour to tortillas , 2 eggs , black bean , chicken ,zucchini, sweet potato clean steak - cook carrots anf cabbage , small amount of white rice bec I worsen my constipation I had started to introduce cook garlic with little reaction
After my last antibiotics my condition seems worse with more flares - I also use probiotic i feel like the antibiotics put me back
I need some help at this point bec thr pain is unbearable- a moment ago I went to ER anf they did ct scam , Blood and urine test and said everything normal so they sent me home - it very frustrating

WOW ... seriously one of the best medical videos on UA-cam ... excellent job Dr. Nambudripad. You broke down the information so it is easy to understand. I just tested positive for SIBO methane. I am working with an Integrative practitioner who prescribed the herbal antibiotics and low Fodmap diet. This is the route I plan to take. The elemental diet, besides being horrid tasting, it is extremely pricey.
Old fashion fasting will starve the bad bacteria equally well.

@@Endless.embrace My fast was 41 days however, I have not tested my body to see if still have SIBO. Bacteria goes into a type of hibernation when fasting. Dr Berg claims just go carnivore for two months however, I wonder if the bacteria just go into hibernation as well. I'm doing carnivore at the moment to get to 60 days.
Getting rid of SIBO/SIFO takes a few months and I'm still in that process. I ordered herbs recommended by the Undoctored SIBO course. I will also being ordering certain essential oils to deal with SIFO which occurs 60% along with SIBO. Since I have some white on my tongue, I'm assuming SIFO as well. This Undoctored course cost $20 and it is worth every penny.
I am undergoing this now. I am 60 and find it hard to eat anything! I don’t feel like eating and then it leads me to snack more! I am seeing a gastroenterologist and basically been prescribed digestive enzymes and probiotics with something for gas. Not working too well. Doing a gastroscope and colonoscopy next week, and hopefully get to the root cause and then treatment and recovery. Can’t wait to be normal again.😩 this vid is helpful, in knowing what foods aggravate and what helps. Will definitely try. Thank u.

It must be exciting to be at the forefront of research into this emerging field of study and transforming people's lives for the better. One element I thought missing from the video was your opinion on the dosage of herbal remedies (allicin, berberine, oregano). I'd be interested to hear what you would recommend.
Thanks for watching and commenting! Great question on dosing. These isn’t any 100 percent consensus on the doses. A certain dose may work for one patient but not for another. It’s best to receive personalized guidance on dosing based on the gas levels by a SIBO provider.

You are truly an answer to prayers…started with constipation allocated my life until 8 yrs ago… now, diarrhea for 8 yrs. many operations: no gall bladder,partial thyroidectomy, “twists” in the duodenum after childbirth… lists of inherited diseases but still lock-in’ at 81 but with lots of bowel&stomach complaints. Nice video, wel done Rajsree! One tip for those who suffer from a SIBO, SIFO or IMO your symptoms can become worse when using a Epsom magnesium bath due to the fact that H2S reducing bacteria now thrive on this. So if your symptoms get worse with Epsom baths you 'know' that H2S producing microbes are there which need to be treated. Warm regards Philippine, a SIBO gut therapist from the Netherlands (OMEGA10)
Hi Philippine, thank you for watching and commenting! Yes, I was aware that those with hydrogen sulfide (H2S) SIBO are sometimes sensitive to sulfur and epsom salt baths (magnesium sulfate). But I decided to include epsom salt baths in the video since I find the vast majority of cases are hydrogen (H2) and methane (CH4) where it can be very helpful with die-off. Also my understanding from Dr. Siebecker's course is that sensitivity to sulfur in general (like in foods) is controversial in H2S SIBO and patient specific. Since sulfur is so ubiquitous in foods, I typically don't eliminate sulfur-containing foods in H2S SIBO patients unless they notices it makes them feel worse.

@@pups317able Yes that's always the ideal situation to know for sure if the SIBO responded to the Rifaximin.
@@drrajsree thanks for your reply but my GI Dr said they don’t retest which was shocking to me ,I guess I will need a specialist plus i wasn’t told what type of sibo I have but my numbers were in the 30s almost 40s.

This video is enlightening. I've been dealing with chronic constipation for years and was told to up my fiber and drink plenty of liquids. Years later, I'm still dealing with the same issue and to find a few months ago, I suffer from SIBO. I plan to try your plan.

1) Genova 2) Lactulose 3) I use a variety of protocols -- but stay tuned, I will be opening a public store soon which will have high quality pharmaceutical grader herbal options for most types 3) No test for SIFO but we suspect it if + yeast/ Candida on Microbiome stool test. Great news is berberine works for both SIBO and SIFO.

Thank you so much Dr. Rajsree for such informative clarification on many misconceptions out there about SIBO/IBS. I suspect I have SIBO and I am excited to start on the SIBO diet + Antimicrobials, etc. Although I have had acid reflux for almost a year now as well as SIBO like symptoms. The acid has been unbearable and it’s affected my quality of life greatly so I have started on Esomeprazol 40mg once again. Although this time, even though the acid is kept at bay, I’ve been extremely bloated, and gassy, and I check all the boxes for systemic symptoms of SIBO. My question is how do I go on the SIBO diet while taking PPIS? Are there any adaptations to the diet/antimicrobials I should make? Thanks again.

I typically recommend low FOD map diet. If there is abdominal pain issues as well I overlap it with a low lectin diet. Basically what I outlined in the video is what I recommend to patients. Thanks for watching.

@@drrajsree Thank you for replying, My sister-in-law Lisa is in the Royal Liverpool Hospital as we speak awaiting another CT scan, It’s her third admission in 9 months, they keep giving her antibiotics and it partially clears up but to me something is causing this bacterial overgrowth. After she eats within a couple of hours she is bloated with gas across her transverse colon. She is nauseous can’t eat and lost 21 pounds 6 weeks. She has an appointment next month with a GI surgeon but I would hope a more natural remedy would be help. A previous CT scan has shown no tumour present THANK GOODNESS.

Have had Sibo 2.5 yrs now. I used to look 7 months pregnant but all that work I was doing for me down to looking about 4 months pregnant all the time. I was carnivore when I started because I was already eating that way to heal my crohns & colitis. Addressing all my root causes & trying to get rid of them. Have done several rounds of natural antibiotics as well as Rifaxamin. Also things like H202. I already use the bathroom too often from hydrogen sibo, what’s hard is any killing therapy I use makes my stomach worse to where I have to use the restroom more. Eventually it gets to where I have to stop treatment & never see my stomach getting smaller either, it has looked the same the last 2yrs. I also used to get b12 injections & did 10 pass ozone IV weekly for a year. The ozone I believe is what got rid of my chronic Lyme anyways. Really wish all my efforts & expense would have gotten rid of my sibo. I have brain fog from sibo & got both symptoms in the same week. I could do so much more killing if I could slow down my motility. Going to make sure I start taking my HCL, digestive enzymes & ox bile with every meal. I used to do that but didn’t notice a difference & eventually stopped.

I have been suffering from digestive issues for years and have sought assistance from many different specialists with tests only showing that I have gastritis; however, despite following the recommendations from all doctors and dieticians I still suffer from bloating and excess painful flatulence. I do not know what to eat anymore and every time I try a new diet it gets more frustrating and disheartening. I believe a have some type of disorder with my gut microbiome but haven’t been able to get an actual diagnostic.
Where can I order the test for SIBO? Also I read there’s the glucose test and the lactulose, which one is more reliable? Also, I live in Florida, USA. Do you see patients remotely? Thanks so much!! 🙏

Have you gone for a Candida test & an H-pylori test?
@@Rob__James yes, both have shown negative results. At this point I am just trying to eat only once a day (intermittent fasting) while also avoiding all gluten, dairy and alcohol and I am feeling a little better..Another thing I am doing is taking my time and chewing my food thoroughly. After implementing all this my symptoms have gotten better.

Every time doctor given me lactulose syrup and I got worse. This is hands down the "Gold Standard" official video for SIBO. What has taken me 2 and a half years to piece together form shady forums etc. is placed perfectly in a 35min video. Been dealing with what I have for 5 years and trying to get a doctor to take it seriously and test for it has been something else. Of all the supplements Ive tried over the years , allicin 450mg berberine\goldseal 5g split, oregano oil 520mg split, neem 300mg made a huge difference for the 30 days I was on it. symptoms came back and trying to get test done to confirm, just so I know for certain. Also I found out about NAC n-acetyl cysteine which I will incorp next time. Thanks Doc!!
