@@rocketsurgeon1746 What is amazing to me about people who call evolution a theory and not a fact is the complete misunderstanding of what a scientific theory is. A scientific theory is comprised of many facts, and is so well supported by evidence that is accepted by the scientific community with the highest level of certainty afforded. In the case of evolution there is so much evidence in DNA, the fossil records, observation of the mechanisms of genetic changes that there is no significant dispute about the core tenets of the theory of evolution. These evolutionary biologists and paleontologists spend their life studying the minutia of the shapes of skulls, relative lengths of the tibia.... just to uncover facts and scientific truths, but some ding dong who works in insurance and watches creationist you tube videos chimes in with his declaration that "Our brains cannot have developed far in that amount of time". I'm flabbergasted that people are so ignorant.

Videos aren't the best choice when it comes to evolutionary theory and getting a fundamental understanding of it ... reading books are in a way a necessary when it comes to learning about evolution. There are so many incredible books by individuals like Michael Ruse, Ernst Mayr, James T. Costa, Neil Shubin, Francisco Jose Ayala, Rebecca Stott, Carl Zimmer, Jerry A. Coyne, David Quammen, Judith Hooper, William D. Hamilton, George C. Williams, Jan Sapp, George McGhee, J.William Schopf, Richard D. Alexander, David Sloan Williams, Steve Jones, Sean B. Carroll, Stephen Jay Gould, Nils Eldredge, Donald R. Prothero, Adrian Desmond etc...that write phenomenal books concerning Evolutionary theory.
Of course the classical works by Charles Darwin, Alfred Russell Wallace, Thomas Henry Huxley, Joseph Dalton Hooker, Theodosius Dobzhansky, Ernst Haeckel, Julian Huxley, Lynn Margulis, Richard Dawkins etc...also give historical and empirical arguments and beautiful prose...
Highly recommended is one of my favorite all-in-one books concerning Evolutionary theory is by Michael Ruse & Joseph Travis called "Evolution: The First Four Billion Years" with a foreword by legendary Edward O. Wilson (RIP😓) and essays by Michael Benton, Jeffrey L. Bada, Antonio Lazcano, Fransisco J.Ayala, Daniel Rubenstein, Eugenie Scott etc. - almost 1000 pages going from Abiogenesis to Speciation to Transposons to Fossils....a great Tomb of knowledge written by actual specialists, University professors and PhD holders in the field.

After listening to Erika for maybe 2-3 minutes, I knew, that I would never dare to discuss evolution, biology, anthropology or genetics with her, because she is clearly so far ahead in all of those fields, that the only thing I could do in a talk with her, would be to listen and be thankful to learn. The size of the mesh meant that it couldn't get its hand through, only a couple of fingers, and the leaves were just out of reach. Sorry I hate to bust your bubble but this whole notion that humans share a common ancestor with Chimps is bogus And i will give you many reasons why creationist do not believe that we are related to chimps. And here's what Ericka is not telling you .
      1. Their simply is not enough time to get enough beneficial mutations to evolve a pink anus ass scratching dumb ape like primate into a spacecraft building human.
      2. Their have been human footprints found in rocks that would be millions of years too early for human. That proves humans could not evolve for stupid chimps.
      3. The idea of transitional fossils from chimp to human is laughable at best . Paleontologist find bones in mixed bone beds and somehow they designate certain bones to chimps or humans origin based on what story they want to tell.
      4. Their are no Lack of evolutionary environment pressure that would evolve chimplike creatures into humans . (If you know of any please inform me . I already asked Ericks and she never responded )
      5. Their is a extremely wide gap in the level of intelligence between chimps and humans. If evolution was this ongoing process of change., Why aren't their any chimps that has evolved different levels of intelligence? Where are the sub level intelligent chimps compare to human ? Where are the transitional in the form of intelligence? Did the all chimps somehow reach a plateau but the humans just kept evolving ?
      6. Not only is their not a lack of transitional. Their are mechanisms like chaperone proteins that doesn't allow protein a chance to evolve past a certain point . If a protein reaches a certain limit of its intended shape. The Chaperone proteins chops up the protein for energy for the cell.
7 . Then editing enzymes corrects mistakes from cell division. This further stop the creature from evolving into something completely different. Not only that , it speaks to a forward thinking mechanism from a designer.
8.And every transitional chimp that is proposes to be a transitional. Each one of the skeleton is either poorly preserved . ( missing adjoining bones or heavily fragmented)
These skeletons are they ones evolutionary paleontologist insert "artistic licensing" to tell the store . But in contrast , the skeleton that are highly preserved and relatively complete. These skeletons are deemed clearly chimp or human.
Somin summery . Their have no mechanisms to evolve a chimp into a human. You have no transitions. And their no variation in levels of intelligence concerning chimp. All of them are basically stupid vs humans.
They are all arboreal tree swing ass scratching stupid chimps that take massive dumps in the woods without even thinking about wiping their asses.
This make me wonder why anyone could believe that human and chimps evolve from a common ancestor .
One build spacecraft, One spent 50% of their day scratching their ass while swinging in trees .
      That's Quite a stark contrast
      Dont you think ?

I don’t think it’s offensive to call humans apes, but laughably stupid if you can’t the difference between humans and and apes.

@alienmonkeyplanet There is no verifiable evidence for a soul, the existence of any god, that we live in the spirit world, or that the universe is a conscious entity. All you have are unproven, evidence-free assertions, allegations, and claims. Grow up and join the 21st century.

I love GG (Erika) and just stumbled across her like six weeks ago; rare case of the UA-cam recommendation’s working. Seth is right that she is so excitable in her teaching of primatology and I love it. She is the the type of teacher who gets kids excited about learning and creates more deGrasse Tyson and Sagan’s and less Kent Hovinds!

If you want to watch her get wreaked in debate that she never posts on her channel and hides from view, come watch :) I posted a marathon 1 month ago where she tried debating people on our team, she lost every single one and never even remotely posted them on her channel like she does others that are less informed.

@@YoungEarthCreation how about you post the link here, and we can all analyse your supposed takedown of Erica...
A takedown I suspect never actually happened, because all YECs have are lies, distortions, mischaracterisations and misconceptions about not just evolution or biology, but science as a whole!

@@evorock no creationists say what your evolution religion teaches , and you guys deny it out of embarrassment because it’s so dumb. Your name is fitting by the way, since the evolution religion says life came from rocks all by itself.

@@YoungEarthCreation - Ms Gibbon has thoroughly debunked your flimsy talking points many times over. You never learn nor even answer her pointed questions. It seems that you are unable to meet Erika's education or her nimble mind. She brings you receipts. You bluster and pontificate about nothing in return.

I love seeing this side of Erika! Her enthusiasm and gusto for human evolution is contagious.
