I'm guessing you adore getting constant suggestions from strangers on the internet but have you looked at Cold Steel's Drop Forged knives? They're all made from a single piece of 52100 steel. I have the Survivalist and the Hunter and they seem very good knives and fairly unique (and there aren't a lot of good videos/tests on them, especially the steel performace) and they're very low cost. In America the Hunter can be had on Amazon for $35, the same price as the SK-5 SRK. Unconventional looking but a good design for booshkraft, at least if you make a handle. 52100 steel seems to get high rankings and I'm curious how Cold Steel's would rank.
You understand that my neighbor is familiar with you right? Because of the random noises and yelling I do when I watch your videos, my neighbor knows whenever I’m watching your videos. Cheers mate
To be honest, I am a fan of ridiculous huge folding knifes and of huge fixed blades. To make it short: I would EDC this knife. Stay safe everybody, and stay blessed. Greetings from Germany!
Fantastic. A folding knife with delicate edge geometry that weighs as much as a brick, just what the world needed! And a liner lock to boot? Genius!! I've always wanted a pocket knife that would simultaniously chip out, develop play AND throw my spine out of alignment because I hate knives, money and the concept of joy. Please sign me up for several.
After owning big big folders I can say honestly that if I am going to ever have to carry a folder that big I will just carry a fixed blade instead. No point risking a lock when a solid handle will do better.
Good review and video haha. I purchased mine to go with the LBK. And yes it’s a biggggg slab of a knife. The knifes materials and workmanship are first rate. And I’m one of those crazy Engineer people. Is it expensive ? Yes! Is it built and feels like it’s expensive? Yes! And I don’t mind that mine is bigger 🤣. Thanks for a great channel!!
The 2x4 chop test is invalid because you didn't use the Triton Superjaws Knife Demonstration Machine. We need consistency and repeatability in the methodology for real chopping science to occur. Also I would pay top dollar for a Bricky T-shirt. He's a rascal.
Dude I'd rock one of these every day. Reminds me of a Medford kinda..Definitely a workhorse of a knife to say the least. Would LOVE to add one to my collection if I could swing it.
I carry a fully size Medford Praetorian T regularly, and the folder you have here is much larger and significantly heavier. I still like it though. The Praetorian is ground the same way. Thick stock but with a dramatic hollow grind and a surprisingly thin edge. The behind the edge thinness on my Medford is actually very close to my TRM Atom and it cuts shallow material just as well. It's also way cooler looking and makes me happy when I hold it. I'm tired of big folders getting shit on.
The divot is to be able to switch between forwards and backwards grip, if you want to STAB something. I saw Sal Glesser make that remark about the logo part on Spydercos frn handled knives.
Pete's got me listening to the Undertale soundtrack now...and I've never played the game. Also, he was wailin' on that knife like it was the Lil' Nilakka!
@Cedric . Could you please make a vid on all the factors that would make a folding knife able to withstand "really hard use" with ease. Sorry if this seems like a dumb question; i am still a newbie in the knife world.
I’ve ran knives through the mill in salt water and the ones with bronze washer had horrible action after, the Teflon washer knives were fine after. They definitely have their place.
Please help! I have s90v steel and I'm having a hard time sharpening with work sharp. Do I just sharpen it a million more times or do I need a special belt?
The Black-Pilled brick is pretty great 😂 As far as the folder goes, it's definitely a lot more interesting than the fixed blade version, to me. There's a few interesting design features, like the use of a liner lock instead of a frame lock. Surprised they didn't also integrate a "pin lock" to back up that liner lock, but I'm sure for 99.9% of people...that liner lock will be quite sufficient. I do like the hollow on it as well, I think it's a good idea for it...because once again that 99.9%, but I am surprised they didn't go with the flat/sabre..sense they are going for that "over-built" tank design of a knife. Other than that, it's quite aesthetically pleasing, I'd definitely feel comfortable with it, and the fit & finish is quite nice. If I had the $500 to casually drop on a folder..I'd probably get one. Would love to see some VS videos out there, against some simular designs, like the MILLER BROS folder, or the BH Tree Frog, etc.
Honestly, if I wanted a giant folder, I'd happily drop 500 for this knife. It looks almost bullet proof. In a strange way it reminds me of a Buck folder I once owned. Looks nothing like it but it evokes the feeling I had when I carried it in its pouch. It was a Buck Alpha Hunter folder with a guthook. Snapped the tip when prying with it (I was a dick) and the blade was replaced for free. I can't remember the amount of road kill and hunted animals I dressed with that one knife. It was a great folder.
The Bricky snark is spectacular, Pete! However, (flicks open Cold Steel Rajah II), I don't know if I would call the HBB Large Bush Folder a MASSIVE knife.
Have you ever tried the Cold Steel AD-15 Pete ? I love both the 15 and 10 but the 15 design just seems way cooler. After they increased the price by more than 50$ I'm not that sure I'd go for either though. Love your channel and content !
If you're gonna batton with it just don't lock it open. Let the handle dangle and you won't break anything because you're not transferring any force into the lock bar.
Why why why would this company build such a great knife only to ruin it all with a liner lock ? Frame lock, Axis lock, any lock but a liner lock on such a big knife. I’d buy this right now if not for the lock. Perhaps I am wrong. Can anyone explain how a liner lock on a knife this size would be a good choice ? I would love to be proven wrong and convinced to purchase this beautiful monster of a tool.
Too bad you didn't have a Cold Steel X-tra large folder to use for the size comparison. At half a kilo it would make the CS feel like an airweight , haha. I think you described it perfectly, " if you like big knives" and " it's a luxury item". Bricky's lack of respect keeps you grounded, he looked kinda frightened during the 2x4 chopping. All the best from the US.
You need a knife that big when the spiders down there are the size of dinner plates! And YES I AM OVER COMPENSATING FOR SOMETHING! That's why I drive a small car...
I just realized the little ‘decoration’ piece is where you swap the clip to. Derp de derr!

How much does it cost and where can i buy it.
Edit: 500 dollars!! Holy sh*t nevermind

damn i gotta agree with you here :p a hollow grind on that brick is the dumbest thing ive ever seen!
I agree. Inwed this.
Ha ha, first thought on seeing the cucumber cutting - "I hope he washed the blade before starting to cut that". :D
Lol👊🍻
Bricky brings so much joy to the channel, and also very constructive comments

I'm going to start saying that in public.
Oh, thank goodness we can't go out at the moment.

I remember neroknives cutting the heck outta tyre rubber with his praetorian, was cool to see
Bricky is a genius idea !! Haven't seen anything like this since Craig Ferguson's late night show.
We here in the U.S. love your channel. Thanks for the reviews.
I've only had one knife fold on me and that was a hoback kwaiback that had lint on the stop pins.
I suggest the bk2 if you want a hammer that's shaped like a knife, it also works as a small spade as well.
Bricky needs a channel of his own
The divot is to be able to switch between forwards and backwards grip, if you want to STAB something. I saw Sal Glesser make that remark about the logo part on Spydercos frn handled knives.
Good to see an XL folder that’s not a coldsteel.... yes I still love you Voyager XL.
Even Bricky would go with a Cold Steel 4Max.
Tri-Ad Lock is as solid as a BRICK!!!
A single brick is not that solid. Now a shithouse built out of many bricks, that’s an entirely different story.
Pete's got me listening to the Undertale soundtrack now...and I've never played the game.

Great knives from Halfbreed but super expensive in UK. $300 change to £420 :( maybe it's unpractical but still love it
Thanks, best thing I've watched as I wait for the non Hurricane approaching Florida.a
I am really intrigued by this knife $350 usd for that big of a knife seems reasonable .
Bricky is smarter than the average knife user!
I had one for a day, imo it should have g10 handle scales. Way to heavy with the titanium. Halfbreed said they have plans for a g10 version!
4 years later and it's gonna be released soon according to their website! And it has an improved lock to go with the G10! I can't wait!!!
YEAHHHHH BUDDY! Now this is MY kind of knife!
Great Review!! Love it!! Getting mine next week!! Cant Wait
Bricky for president 2020

Benchmade super freak would qualify I bet
Makes my Cold Steel AD-10 look svelte!
It is.
I would have an AD-15 right now if only it weren't such a puny knife.
Cracking me up, love it as always!
at that price they better include an extra set of teflon washers and carbidize the linerlock face but i already know they dont
Love bricky. I need more brick.

🤣
Hey, Bricky, while he's not listening - why don't you set up your own channel? This guy is just holds you back in your inevitable rise to fame.
A large bush folder for when you need to trim a large bush. 🤣🤔🤣
Made me laugh, the DS reference got me
If only this was a bit bigger then maybe you could use it as a sledge hammer making it the best multitool on the market

4 max for the triad lock durability I would say
Are you going to do a review of the cold steel bush ranger
I'm an outlier. I love that behemoth!
You're an outlier. That knife is useless.
Is the clip flipable and thats why the nut is there? Just like a filler tab?
yup, i pinned a comment explaining that one

Neat to see, but would rather pack a compact fixed blade cmp3v convex edge around 8oz and use a baton for "chopping". But to each thier own.
the best part of the blade is the knife
😂

raw titanium black blade I guess?
