- In the last couple of weeks, I've used the campervan as a mobile base for filming narrowboat videos, including trips to Boston in Lincolnshire and Tring in Hertfordshire. So I also filmed the van bits to make this hotch-potch of a vlog.

I just stumbled across your campervan channel. Almost exactly like I did your cruising the cut channel. I won't lie. This channel is neat.. But I'm partial to your narrow boat "cruising the cut" channel. I have camping here. Camper Vans and camper trailers ad Al that. Unfortunately we do not have canals and narrow boats. So they amaze me and I just enjoy tem to no end. I hope to see more videos there soon enough. I'm in Ontario Canada and we're still incour second full lockdown...maybe someday this pandemic will be a history lesson in school.
I have only recently found your Van videos after watching you for many years on the Canals. You certainly are an adventurer ;) Thanks so much for keeping us entertained. I binge watched your van build videos and was great to see the whole process from start to finish. All the best and safe travels; albeit in the Van or on the Canals.

It is so great to see Lorna as she is a beautiful spirit.
I've driven though all of the continental US, and while beautiful, it goes on and on and on and on... The thing I love about Britain and the UK as a whole, you've got such GORGIOUS country sides, but you aren't driving for 12 hours to get anywhere. Also your camp spots are so lovely, with grass and nice facilities. Here in the US you get gravel and dirt, and a facility that get's cleaned once or twice a day, but the people who use it absolutely destroy them.
Your meal of chicken in white sauce with rice made me laugh out loud! Whenever we went boating as a family we always ate either tinned chicken in white sauce with rice or canned meatballs with rice!!! Brought back so many lovely memories! As you rightly said it's hot and eatable. 🤣🤣🤣 Thank you for your fantastic videos, I love Cruising the Cut and Vandemonium. All the best 🙂

You have a life I'd love to live you really do. I have bad neighbours both sides and just wished I could buy a van and live on the road but circumstances don't allow it sadly. I'm happy you allow us a glimpse into your life though, thank you David.

Tiny hint from someone whose favorite meal is chicken, cauliflower and mashed potatoes: when preparing colorless meals just shake a tiny touch of paprika on top. It helps.

@1m10s (bumpy roads): When visiting Ireland, I quickly learned the peat bogs (we even saw them harvesting peat) is advance warning that the road was about to become as swelling as the Roaring 40s southern ocean. After a while, it was "Oh look, they're harvesting peat. OMG, slow down!!" Nearly bottomed out a few times.

Regarding the van air conditioner, just a little tip which you may already know, to avoid losing the gas from the system run the air con every couple of weeks, this prevents the seal on the compressor from drying out and allowing the gas to escape.

A meal fit for a king.... who’s chef has gone on holiday leaving the king to fend for himself. I missed the end of the video due to uncontrollable laughter and will now have to rewind and review. I should probably wait until the laughter subsides and who knows how long that will be.

A banana & spot of tea is more then I eat for breakfast. That's great. No cleaning up the kitchen w/THAT kind of breakfast. But in a couple of hours & some stepping about in the sunny skies, I always get hungry before lunch. It's hard work running around enjoying that sunshine.
I eat really good for dinner when I'm camping out.
I take one evening & cook, big ticket items, for @ least 3 nights worth of food, like chicken, fish, that we've caught & I've got pictures to back my stories up, steak, about 5 lbs of fried chicken gizzards (yummy, yummy) family loves them, fried green tomatoes, fried squash, the steak & sides usually gets eaten that 1st night. The other stuff is just for when where in the boat fishing. That kind of stuff needs no warming, IMO.
Well I'm glad to see you got your sink water all fixed up. Maybe no more water issues from here on out, I've already got you on my prayer list.... lol....

Seemed to be a lovely little trip.
Hi David, instead of your fancy Ridge Monkey pan, try an Indian Tawa plate (circle of steel with a simple handle), suitable size wok cover and a silicon roasting rack. The Tawa is very common used in India and Malaysia, we cook/reheat very often with the combination, toasted sandwiches, pies, pasties, chicken nuggets, sausages, fried eggs. The surface gets nicely seasoned and non stick the more it gets used.

From one David to another, there is absolutely nothing wrong with your haircut. I've been doing my own haircuts just like that for the last 14+ years! MUCH cooler in the hot weather. Carry on.

Good haircut David. I use a number 8 on top and 3-4 on the sides, my wife mucks around the back for me. Has saved me $3000 so far and I've not been declined service in any restaurants yet.
I almost forgot. Top idea on the water pump. Has me thinking, we have a 316 stainless steel nut holding our hose down because our fridge cooling is done using a heat exchange that uses the water in our water tank. I will investigate a more rigid pipe device such as yours.
Wow, that haircut when I saw it, it was, like looking in the mirror at myself, even my other half agreed. I reckon I could now get work as your look-a-like stunt man.

Nothing disturbing about that haircut, in fact it looks exactly like the one I'm going to prepare on my own head one of these days! Putting that one lesson learned during covid-lockdown nr x to (somewhat) good use.

(I usually cook up a big pot of rice and keep it in the fridge. It is very versatile - in broth, fried, or under almost anything. I use brown rice and put various flavorings in the water.)

(I have a secret to my success in life: I don't go out much. 🤣) Let's see.... hat. Okay, hat is good. Now I'm wondering what you'd look like in a peaked cap, David. Oh, I see🤣🤣🤣. (Sorry 🤣) Yeah... the 3rd time I cut my own hair, I set the clippers too short, too. This sort of thing also happened as a result of a miscommunication with a barber in my teenage years; the worst time in life for this to happen, really.
Rural roads? At least you could see over the walls. Ah, the "bit tight" bit is more like it. I wonder what it's like to tow a caravan down that road. Pretty sure I heard my brother complaining of such a thing once, but I missed the actual trouble. I'd rather have a van, anyway.
