    If you did want to run oil an easy way is to make a pipe that goes from inlet to drain and fill it nearly to the top, gives it a small amount of capacitive cooling as well

      I see what you’re saying! Only thing is the oil would have no movement, so whatever oils in the turbo section would just stay there and burn up, surprisingly the grease has been doing wonders!

    You might also find that a one way valve in the tube to the tank from the boost side will keep it from sucking from the tank under vacuum when you throttle off and help abit, i could be wrong though. Good idea none the less!

      I need a dude like you around to help me with these crazy project and helping with small issues! Exactly what I’m gonna do in the future, noticed it pulling alittle fuel under vacuum when the tanks filled up!

    Draw through seems like the best way to do it but you might be able to get some EFI parts from a similar engine and use that instead and it would prob run way better, one thing you can try is plugging the vent tube so it doesn’t bog as much

      Definitely something I wanna look into or even doing a mini megasquirt on one of these small engines would be cool! Definitely gonna see what I can do with the carb setup and go from there, getting tons of great information from you guys in the comments!

    In my experience with mating up a smaller exhaust manifold to a larger turbo flange, making the flange thicker (10mm or so) and gradually transitioning it to the size of the turbo flange works really well for spread over the turbine fins, but this obviously works well as it is!

      Totally agree with you brotha! I was more of a quick build see if it even works! But I thought of a few ideas to get better flow, the flange is 3/8 plate so more like 7-8mm, so should be more than enough for this small engine

    Need to research blow through carb set up ups and how they work a little bit. Fuel pressure needs to reference boost and be above boost pressure or else any time it makes boost if it does make any, it will just push the fuel out the bowl. Also the carb vents need to be referenced to boost as well for there to be a positive pressure to push fuel through the jets. That carb works off the pressure of the atmosphere being higher than the pressure in the throat of the carb to suck fuel through the jet. Once pressure in the throat gets higher than the atmospheric pressure, you won't get fuel.

      Totally get whatcha mean brotha! I’ve looked into it a bit! Heard some people will build a whole box around the carb to have positive pressure all around it! Won’t really know much till It gets some load on it and see how it performs, but I definitely think with boost pressure going into the gas tank, it’s forcing fuel into the carb, which seems to be working for small revs, but long hard pulls where it might starve itself!

      @dillpicklesperformance I failed to realize the fuel tank was being pressurized. That will definitely help and a line to the bowl vent might do the trick instead of boxing in the carb. It would be pretty cool to see it push some boost.

      @@comoscorral yeah I said it quick in the video might’ve missed it! But yeah pressurized the tank so that should definitely help! I’ll have to do some research where the carb vent is! I think I might know! And could easily build a adapter to run a tube to it

      Single cylinder engine, so gonna be hard for it have enough exhaust to keep the turbo spooled during the intake stroke, but yes it definitely made boost, you’ll see, she’s on the gokart as we speak ;)

    If you scaled that exact combination of size to a whatever V6, how big would that Turbo be?

      @dillpicklesperformance  5 місяців тому +1

      I couldn’t even tell you dude🤣 turbo is about 2/3rds the size of the 420cc engine if that puts it in perspective! Lol

      I did? Or you talking about the center where the oil goes thru? The center wouldn’t spin at all! Tried spinning it but so rusted together, no biggie tho since I’m just running grease instead of oil
