Nice one. Wasn't sure these were actually serviceable. Why are you using a scraper and not a large flat-head screwdriver to undo the cap though? Right tool for the job and all that.
This is very helpful.. Mine has a wiggle just a very small amount but i got it slightly used.. How many sealed bearing should i see in 1 pedal. I only saw 1 near the bolt nut. Is that true? Thanks for the video but still leaves me that question if there is another bearing near the crank arm part
Using a paperclip to remove the plastic spacer is much easier than the long nose plier. And besides, not many people have long nose pliers laying around where paper clips you can find anywhere in stores.
First check if the nut is tight, if it is, and there is still play, something might be worn out. However, if it is a very small amount of play, say 0.5mm - 1mm, it shouldn't be too much of a problem. Feel free to ask any more questions! Cheers
@@ridingwithrees9079 thank you so much bro. I feel so much relieved hahaha I just bought this yesterday. And when I checked, I realized that there is a slight movement in the pedal. But it is not wobbly.
There is no sweet spot. You can just tighten it. Until you insert spacer and safety bolt, pedal is moving left and right on the axis 2mm. Be careful... I broke mine pedals, because thought it is not supposed to move.. 😅
Agree with this one. There is no sweet and you cant get rid of extra clearance with tightening The nut. Manufacturer says 4Nm for The nut. No More. I Broke mine with extra torque, and now theres 5-8mm sideways on The axis.
Hey, this pedal service isn't a in depth service so I'm not re-packing the bearings. I'm just re-greasing the spindle. Your right in that it doesn't do a lot to help the pedal run smoothly but in helps to clean out any water or dirt that may have worked it's way in. Also applying grease regularly to the seal and spindle will help with keeping any dust or water out of the internals of the pedal. Thanks for your input...
This info has been really helpful as I had no idea on how to do this, thanks
No worries!
Thank you. Pretty sure I've worn mine completely out in a few months, but they run smoother after adding some grease. Got rid of a creak .
Thank you! I thought my peddle was done, just needed a re-greasing and tightening of the nut. Yay!
Way to go Reese. ‘Mazin’ !
So good Rees!!
Subbed. Please make another video about servicing the actual bearings please
Thanks!

What size Allen key is it?
Are there spare parts available for the Stamp 1?
I’ve got one pedal that’s had a scrape and I can’t get the cap undone even with a putty knife like you used I don’t know how to get it off any tips?
An old kitchen knife may work?

There's just one bearing, you can extract it by pushing it with the allen key from the opposite side
1:06 by the way, for the plastic spacer, you need to find something thin I used a pen that worked fine for me
yeah I just used a pic didn’t have pliers that fit
What about the Pin / screw Replacements? Can't find anything on those. Even where to buy Replacements.
I had a look myself and couldn't find anything either. This version of these pedals is quite new so they may not make them yet.
@@ridingwithrees9079 Thanks. Didn't realize how new they were. I just bought my bike about two months ago and bought the pedals a couple weeks later.
I was just about to grab a hammer instead of the 8mm socket. Thanks!
2:49 Tip for you all try fully tighten it on purpose then loosen the screw a few turns slowly and feel it.
hopefully, it will make the process faster

Your right! Thanks for the tip!
I used a small flat blade screwdriver and it popped straight out.
Surprised how basic these pedals are inside
Thanks
No problem!
Thank you
hmm.. does it only have 2 sealed bearings with it?
Do you mean two sealed bearings in one pedal?
Nice work on 2k views!!
My Stamp 1 pedals has a play. It wiggles up and down. Can I fix this or do I need to buy another set of pedals?

Nice video bro try improving your text in the video
No refresh kit … no new bearing and bushing …. Simple 50 H minimal minimal service
I bent the axle :c
The majority of the grease that was applied was not on any bearing surface... Do not use this video as a guide to service a Stamp Pedal.
