Concise and nice! Thank you!
Way to go Reese. ‘Mazin’ !
Thanks for the video, piece of cake after I watched it!
Great video. I'd recommend taking off the bushing, cleaning it and adding grease to that as well.
Rees, I was looking at my fork yesterday, and it appears that I have the same headset type. Is that an "integrated" headset, where the surface that the bearing rides on is built into the frame and not part of a removable "cup?" If anyone has the same type, please respond as I ordered a newsboy frame from the company, Retrotec, and I plan on moving all my old parts to the new frame.
old comment and you've likely sorted it out, but I saw no one replied. He has a zero stack headset (ZS) where the bearing cup sits inside the frame. There's an External Cup headset (EC) where the bearing cup is situated outside of the frame. Both of these have to be pressed into the frame. An Integrated headset (IS) is where the cups are molded into the frame. you would just grease the bearing and drop it into the frame.
@@jojotherider1977 JoJo, thank you. The Retrotec frame is being bent and welded at this very time. I decided to order a Wolf Tooth ZS headset in blue instead of using the old, IS bearing from my old bike. I advised Curtis from Retrotec, and he will build the head tube accordingly. Thanks for following up. The Retrotec frame in the newsboy style (called "Classic" on the Retrotec website), is a steel alternative to the costly Merlin Newsboy frame, which is out of my budget.
Thank you! I thought my peddle was done, just needed a re-greasing and tightening of the nut. Yay!
i sprayed wd40 on and now when i pick my bike up via the saddle it lifts up abit can i degrees it or am i screwed?
No refresh kit … no new bearing and bushing …. Simple 50 H minimal minimal service
Doesn’t vaseline freash when its cold?
I’m not 100% sure. I never had any problems at 5-10 Celsius
Fire 🔥
is that 29er
I bent the axle :c
Thank you. Pretty sure I've worn mine completely out in a few months, but they run smoother after adding some grease. Got rid of a creak .
Cool idea..thanks..
Brilliant hahaha.
Fox Transfer dropper post bushing will not pop-out...
This is very helpful.. Mine has a wiggle just a very small amount but i got it slightly used.. How many sealed bearing should i see in 1 pedal. I only saw 1 near the bolt nut. Is that true? Thanks for the video but still leaves me that question if there is another bearing near the crank arm part
There's just one bearing, you can extract it by pushing it with the allen key from the opposite side
Simple and to the point, great vid man, really helpful thanks a lot
Thanks mate. Never serviced my bike before. This was really helpful. Looks like the previous bloke never serviced it either. Could have slowed down a bit when putting the top bearing back on as I couldnt work out at first what way up to put it. Should have layed them down in a special order. Lesson learned. If I took the bottom bearing out and cleaned it but when I spin it can hear crunching does it mean I need new bearings? I serviced it because its clicking, theres no play in the steering though or crunching when I turn the bars, just clicking when I ride downhill.
Are there spare parts available for the Stamp 1?
Thanks
Does chain lube work?
Helpful! My local shop mechanics didn't know that.
Would WD-40 work?
Nice one. Wasn't sure these were actually serviceable. Why are you using a scraper and not a large flat-head screwdriver to undo the cap though? Right tool for the job and all that.
Does this work with Fox Transfer??
Yes, it should work the same!
There is no sweet spot. You can just tighten it. Until you insert spacer and safety bolt, pedal is moving left and right on the axis 2mm. Be careful... I broke mine pedals, because thought it is not supposed to move.. 😅
Thanks for the input!
Agree with this one. There is no sweet and you cant get rid of extra clearance with tightening The nut. Manufacturer says 4Nm for The nut. No More. I Broke mine with extra torque, and now theres 5-8mm sideways on The axis.
maybe you should've taken off the crown race spacer on the fork as lots of crap gets in there
Bro is that perseverance rd behind you?
Fansastic !!!👍
The Mixer is a rough trail, but when you're not riding it at race speed and you're trying to chill, it's a manageable trail but still quite tough.
Yep!
Something I usually do is cut the tube in half along the inside loop. You also have to cut out the valve on the old tube. Now you have a liner that you can wrap around your new tube. So now your tube is twice as thick, and will prevent less punctures. here is a video of this trick. ua-cam.com/video/HYBL6sDfUkA/v-deo.html
I like ur video that helped thx

My local bike shop told there wasn't much I could do about my super stiff and grindy dropper post.....until I watched this video! Literally just did this and it took all of 10 mins with a clean rag and some suspension lube. You rock man!
I'm glad it helped!
I’m probably going here next weekend and I can’t wait
Sweet! Enjoy!
How much travel does your bike have sir?
It has 170mm up front and 160mm in the rear!
Can I use fork lube (mines ‘WPL ForkBoost Lube, lubrifiant forkboost)
Yes! Fork lube will work great.
Comment what video's you'd like to see!
Love to see, best place to buy a bike...!

Nice, I use a torque wrench and shock pump a lot. Where'd you find the song?
