Great video! thanks! that Ashcroft-Spences Bridge area is beautiful country. I was down that area to Basque a couple of covid years ago. Love it. Thanks again. Looking fwd to more of your great vids. cheers.
I drive by this spot every time I go north to visit family in Quesnel. If you stand and watch for a while you will see strong very strong whirls on the water's surface. It is a turbulent spot on the river.
Wow! Pretty fancy flying for a guy just learning how to use new drone features - obviously not your first rodeo, under-over-and through the power(?) lines. I was waiting for you to land on top of the train and go through the tunnel.😟 Maybe next time. One of my favorite videos, capturing the scale and energy of the scene. Masterfully done, Josh. Thanks for the thrills.
Thanks Lawrence! I have to tell the truth I only had the drone for a few weeks when I filmed this and have never owned one prior. DJI makes a fantastic product. I don’t think I’m brave enough to land it on a train though lol. But thanks for the idea 😂 And yes my mini 3 pro came close to those power lines in the last scene, definitely hit the breaks for sure. Off to the Fraser canyon this week hopefully I can bring a few more thrills to the screen for you. Definitely one of my favourite videos as well, thanks for watching! 😊
@@joshwhite2261 I appreciate your honesty. To tell the truth, until recently I thought that DJI were the initials of Railfan Dan because he always includes DJI in his titles! 😳 Never actually heard of anyone landing a drone on a moving train (or on a mooving cow, for that matter), lol (lots of luck - probably would fall off and get crushed and the local sheriff would come knocking.) As much as I love trains, tracks, music and art, I also love nature. The scene (of you and your red car) slowly unfolding downward all the way to the river, was a show stopper! Some day that scene will be on my future N-scale layout. For now, I live in the high desert near the Tehachapi Loop, but we don't have anything close to the rivers and railroad canyons of BC. Looking forward to your next creation. 🙃
Does anyone live in this part of the country? Beautiful country, You did a outstanding job of flying that drone. Thanks for an Outstanding video. Mississippi Gulf Coast, USA)
Hello John, I live roughly 4miles away from this location. There are a few ranches around this location and as I watch this video I see how easy it can be interpreted that no one lives around here by someone that’s not familiar with the area. I’m happy you enjoyed the film I will have a few more coming out soon, be sure to check them out! Thanks for watching and take care. 😊
Hello, so to get to this location you have to drive on private property. It’s owned by the Ashcroft Ranch. I phoned the ranch manager. (number is on the fence.) to get permission to drive on the property. It’s roughly 1 km north of the red hills rear area or 5 and a half km south of the Tim Horton’s located at the turn off into Ashcroft. You will find the road of the left hand side of the road as you head south, it you find the hat creek road on your right you’ve gone just a bit to far. Hope that helps.
Excellent drone work.

Least friendly town in BC. When I went there to photograph the town by night, I had the cops called on me twice in less than 24 hours.
Great video. The drone is the best way to see the landscape.

Canadians live there. Mostly ranchers.
Can you tell how one would drive to this particular spot?
Stone break and work athar saide make bridges
Esse mar de água me deixa nervosa
Nothing to be nervous about, The Thompson River is a pretty tame river. 😊
Josh could you give the directions to get into Black Canyon please. Thanks
