Amazing what can be done with a drone these days. I visited Cisco almost 28 years ago and the vegetation was a little less lush than now. Access from the Trans Canada Highway to a safe viewing point was easier and a zoom lens on your camera was essential. Now you can get up close and personal from all angles (subject, of course, to your local drone rules). Thanks for this and other of your videos for refreshing my memories.🙂
Shout out and props to the men who carved out the path for the tracks to be laid. And for blasting out the tunnel ways. Just amazingly beautiful to what they were able to accomplish before modern day equipment. Great video also.
Thank you, Josh for this wonderful drone areial coverage of The Thompson/Fraser River Canyon, Canadian railroading. Out west Canadian🍁 rail is a favorite of mine. I wish you well in your endeavors to cover this area. There are a few other areial drone UA-camrs that I've wished would wander up there for a Birdseye view. I hope you find your niche and can document many more episodes. With that kind of subject matter, you can't miss. 🎯 💯 Happy Trails! Eh! Cheers! Come On Dan and John, road trip time! ☺️
Hello Ian, I wonder if they will ever rebuild the bridge at this location, I guess time will tell. It’s definitely in the top five of filming locations in the Thompson canyon, I’m glad you enjoyed the video, hope to produce some more in the very near future!
Well Josh, you promised more thrills, and you delivered. Outstanding video, wonderful scenes and stirring music. The closeups and extra information for modelers was much appreciated. Cool! If I could fly ...!
I loved every second of this! the rivers the geology the trains the views, Such amazing material and presented so so beautifully. I recognized a few graffiti artists too lol. Stunning locations and brilliant work capturing the beauty the trains and even some history and rail details, i am grateful~
I’m so happy you enjoyed it! I’m in complete agreement, the beauty of the canyons is amazing! The history of the locations that surround the railway are also a big drive in what gets me out doing the filming, stay tuned for more videos in the future. 😊
Best video from the bridges! I was down to the tracks in 2012 on vacation from Norway, but fell and hurt my knee, had to return to the car and the highway and drive to Ashcroft. Very little water in the Fraser!
Sorry to hear you sustained an injury while you were out this way. Both the Thompson and Fraser Rivers are quite low but should start to rise very soon as the weather warms up. I’m going to be filming as well this June when we see peak levels in both rivers, it should be quite a difference. I’m planning on another trip down the canyon very soon and as a resident of Ashcroft, it’s not to far of a drive for me to get to these places. I’m happy you enjoyed the film, take care!
@@joshwhite2261 looking forward to see your next video, i really loved the drives through the Canyons. In 2012 I travelled with 3 friends, stayed overnight in Ashcroft river Inn before driving to Kelowna. In 2014 with my wife we stayed 2 nights in Totem motel in Lytton, too bad it is all burned down.
The original CP Cisco bridge is older by 10 years then what you have listed. That area on the Fraser is sometimes known as Cantilever Bar in honour of the original bridge.
You are absolutely correct, that’s was a typo on my part, Thank you so much for catching that! 😊 I do a lot of research into what I’m putting on the screen and definitely don’t want to miss lead anyone, Thanks again!
Very interesting video. Great flying and camera work with stunning views. Got a little worried with that shot at about 14:40 with the train approaching! Is that highway crossing at 6:30 the one near Lytton? Love your videos from the Kettle Valley as well.
That shot at 14:40 was one of my favourite shots in this film, with the bridge being 528 feet long and my drone being another 40 feet back from the bridge, I had lots of clearance. You will notice as soon as I see the train clear the tunnel, I start to move to the right just before the sunlight hits the loco. The crossing is at the bottom of tank hill on highway one, it’s between Spences Bridge and Lytton. I’m so happy that your enjoying the videos, I’m planning on going back down the canyon this Easter weekend to film some more, I’m also planning to head back up to the Coquihalla as soon as that pesky white stuff disappears. Stay tuned for more adventures! 😊
Unfortunately I don’t quite have the technology as of yet, and the buzzing of my drone might drive some people nuts. 😁 But the plan for down the road is to get a Mike and record ambient sound. For me the most difficult part of editing is adding the music, realizing that most tunes aren’t for everyone. With the way I’m currently doing things right now is at least you can hit mute and put your own tunes to it if you like.

You have elevated rail videos to a very high level. Thanks
outstanding work all the way around. Uav, editing, music! well done 💯
Loved it. One of my favourite places.
Awesome video !!!!! I look forward to the rest that you make.
Great drone work. Live in Sicamous near the CP mainline. Love the Fraser Canyon for rail coverage. Also watch Trackside Tyson. Good job.
Happy you enjoyed the videos! Yes! Trackside Tyson’s content is amazing he produces great content love to watch it!
Great video! Terrific drone work and editing...and the scenery isn't too bad there either!
Spectacular video ,perfect for details for rebuild a layout in h0 scale
Fantastic video Josh! Great drone footage!
Hi Josh, @6:50 in, I've shot there myself, when there was still a bridge. Great drone footage and excellent video. 👍

Your video is very interesting, taken from a different angle and location, shooting south on the river. It shows a better view of both bridges
Super beautiful video

Thank’s Lawrence! The comment at 9:30 was for you, I do hope you got a little chuckle out of it! 😁
Parabéns belo video . O fundo musical mto bom masicas leves suaves. Noto 10 .🇧🇷
Excellent video
Phenominal video, Josh. As a fellow drone pilot, it's obvious how much work went in to flying and editing. Well done.
Glad you enjoyed it!😊

12:04 is a very nice angle of attack by drone at Cisco! Great work and I look forward to meeting you one day .
Hope you can get a drone one day Tyson and also show us a Birdseye view of your neck of the woods. Canadian railroading.
Belle immagini, suggestive.
Thanks! The Thompson and Fraser Canyons are filled with wonderful locations to film, stay tuned for more films coming soon! 😊
What is the little suspension bridge at 2:45 used for. It looks to lead into the snow shed. Great video. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks! the suspension bridge is used be CN crews to access their line the other side of the river. I've never seen it used though.

Great video, but instead of music in the background I would've went with the with the natural sounds of your surroundings.

Great footage... music is obnoxious.
