I am extremely impressed with your methodical and steady approach, which yields ease of understanding and clearly explained steps. The end result is the successful replacement of the Sig Sauer P365 original stock trigger with the Armory Craft flat trigger. I appreciate your calm approach in which I successfully replaced the trigger following your instructions the first time and all parts re-installed the first time with no issues as well. I think your recommendation to watch the video all the way through before attempting to perform the procedure is excellent advice. I watched the video twice and when I performed the procedure while listening a third time, I felt as if I had already replaced the trigger, so nothing felt foreign because your video instructions are so clear and easy to follow. In addition to this video, I combined it with the manual safety installation to ensure I included the correct steps for removing the safety to gain access to the pin to be able to remove the take down lever safety bar. Combining the two procedures enabled me to successfully replace the trigger with no issues. Excellent job! @@SigGuy she did it all except the spring. She struggled with that using the needle-nose pliers and the pick, so I did that one step. She kept pausing the video to make sure she was doing each step correctly. My granddaughter, like my daughter, wants to know how things work and they don't mind getting their hands dirty.

@@SigGuy , hey SSG you never really replied but I asked once about shortening the trigger creep and raising the trigger pound to ensure safety. I've looked at my P365 FCU and figured if I just shave a little off the sear where the striker face rest or maybe a very small shave on both the sear and trigger face would shorten the creep. Then I would buy a heavy trigger spring to raise the trigger pull from +5 to hopefully 8 pound pull. What are your thoughts?
Yahooblows me personally I modify my EDC pistols very little. I tried a companies spring kit and I had nothing but feed, extract and light primer strikes. Took it out immediately. Risk is not worth the reward (which with the 365 there is none because there is very little you can do with the action.
@@SigGuy ,ok. I'll wait it out, I think sooner or later some company will make a shorter trigger for the P365 eventually since it's so popular.

Thank you! My Sig had a critical trigger failure at three rounds(literally brand new). The trigger bar spring snapped. Sig was uncooperative on fixing it for me, and a gunsmith was expensive. This saved me time and revived the only Sig I’ll ever buy!

I was cleaning my gun and i took out my FCU for the first time to get a little deeper into it. My takedown safety bar fell out and i was in a panic. This is my EDC and i was planning a range day tomorrow. I thought i rendered my gun useless and i would have to wait to take it into a gunsmith. This video saved my ass! Thank you!

I found if I took a skinny panhead screw driver and ground an 1/8 Notch in the blade . It makes taking out and re-installing the trigger spring a 2 second job : Just sharing

I wish I had the safety conversion kit at the making of this video. It literally takes 10 seconds to take off the manual safety assembly. It would’ve helped so many people.
Thanks for producing this video. It walked me right through the installation of the Sig OEM flat trigger yesterday. Very pleased with the feel of it. As you stated, the last step was the hardest by far. Overall, not a bad side project and saved me the $50 of having a gunsmith do it. Again, thanks!

Patience is a virtue, and I have NONE. Your video is so detailed that my triggger installation was so fluent and smooth that for a second or two I thought I am a PRO. I was laughing at you when your trigger bar spring popped out- yeah I am an Evil.
SAS has different take down lever but once again with your video it was easy to figure out the position of the lever.

Great video, thanks so much! I just replaced my trigger in about 10 minutes with a 90 degree pick and needle nose pliers. And for those wondering if there is a difference for the version with the manual thumb safety (P365 MS), the job is exactly the same- you just push the silver pin out until it touches the underside of the safety and continue from there.

Great video. Thanks for explaining the step by step process. I found using the screwdriver you supply in the Dark kit with the notch made the trigger spring removal, and install super easy, since it traps the spring in the v groove. Thank you for selling your tool kits.

OMG...you are a life saver. I added a manual safety to my Sig P365 XL (so wife can use) but had issues with the slide lock bar & slide lock. This video helped out so much to get them back in with ease. You gotta a new subscriber.

Great video. Followed it along and installed a new Sig flat trigger. My pistol has the thumb safety. I found that the safety will not let you pull the two step pin out too far. At the same time the lower step becomes even with the frame, the pin makes contact with the safety lever. Otherwise went exactly as viewed.
Very good video. I have the manual safety 380 version. The main difference between mine and this video is that there is no drifting of the silver pin shown at the beginning.
This helped me over a year ago, and it helped again today. Thank you for putting this together.

Just finished installing my flat trigger.
I used a micro flat head screw driver instead when installing the safety bar after several attempts got it on one try following your instructions. Great video. Safety bar was the only difficulty I came across

Great tutorial. I was very hesitant installing a Sig 365 flat trigger. I watched this video 5 times prior to attempting trigger replacement. Took me less than an hour with fingers "crossed". IMHO this is the best video. I did other watch replacement trigger installs but again the step by step process was easy to follow. The close up installation detail photos were terrific thus my trigger Sig flat trigger install was successful!

Followed this video step by step just as it is presented made for an easy install. As you said, it should be watched through fully before attempting. Do that and it can be done in almost the same time as the video. Also, as you emphasize, don’t get frustrated when things don’t just drop into place. Thanks again for making easy work of what people fear doing.
PS Found a great medical UA-cam showing open hear surgery. Gonna watch it at least 3 times first to be on the safe side before I give it a try. Kidding aside, thanks again for a job well done.

Watched it once Thru and then went for a day later
I was really pleased with the takedown safety bar dropping into place relatively easy. At first I was under the impression the bar had to be sort of bent up (I know that’s not what you meant) behind the slide lock to get into the notch but it was more a matter of just moving the bar around on the trigger end to get it to drop into place. That was the only part where I was a little confused but of course the video was masterfully crafted and gave me exactly what I needed to do this job myself. Another gun mod successfully accomplished by a dude with very rudimentary skills.

I just installed the AC mag release I purchased from you and it’s awesome. I just got my XL and I can’t stop tinkering. I’ve also done a Sig LXG module, Holosun 407k, a couple 15 round mags and I just ordered a copper True Precision threaded barrel. Thanks so much for this. Watched the video twice and then attempted to install an AC red flat trigger on my 365.. Took me 30 minutes, about half of that with the last step. I found that putting very, very gentle pressure on the pick to push the takedown lever as far outboard as possible, and the safety bar as far inboard as possible, with very gentle downward pressure on the bar did the trick for me (you say as much in your video) but I was hesitant at first to use any pressure at all, but when I did, it popped into place!

To update this post, I have subsequently removed the AC trigger and replaced it with the OEM flat trigger from Sig, which came with a new trigger spring and pin. Now the trigger breaks at 90 degrees very similar to my 365 XL and X series 320. I found a bit less take up and a slightly crisper break with Sig, and of course the AC trigger broke a little further back, to my liking, anyway.
I know this is an old video, but I wanted to say thank you brother! That takedown lever bar fell out on my XL and getting it all back together was giving me fits.

I don't know if you still monitor the comments in this video, but I still wanted to thank you for posting it. I just successfully changed my OEM P365 trigger out for one of Sig's flat triggers using your video. That little trick you did with the pick to get the take-down bar back into the slot was masterful and allowed me to get it back in place in less than a minute.
Your overview of how the parts fit and interact made it all that much easier.

Thanks for tutorial! I was able to follow this video and finished the installation without any issues. Great job! Easier than I thought. I do have the manual safety. For those with manual safety, the installation is no difference. Actually make it easier. When you try to loose safety pin without going too far. The safety lever stop you going too far and keep everything in place. Make it easier!!

Welcome to mid 2023 where this video is still relevant. Had me able to swap the x macro's flat trigger to the oem curved trigger in the time span of the video plus a few minutes to account for pausing. Thanks Sig Guy!

Turned out I thought I had the takedown bar in wrong because the lever wouldn’t move but then after doing it again I realized I needed to push up on the slide catch/release to be able to rotate it. Duh. Still nowhere near as bad as doing a full trigger job and magazine release on an XDS I cursed a lot that day

Great tutorial. If I can make a request? Although I love the p365 cleaning mat, it makes a horrible back ground when showing black gun parts. Also shadows. More lighting please.
They also make macro lenses, which would help. You could have a second camera recording with a macro for your close up shots. Not significantly more editing, and coupled with your explanations, would make these the best SIG tutorial vids on UA-cam.

Very nice step by step description, but I was able to reduce it slightly, since the main points are that one needs access to the trigger pin and removing the trigger bar. The take down safety lever can be moved out of place without backing out the safety lever pin (that whole bar simply needs to be low enough to get the trigger pin out), the takedown lever can then be removed. So perhaps an alternative is to disconnect the trigger bar spring, take out the takedown lever, remove the trigger pin, and then go through what you described regarding the trigger and trigger bar, then reverse the process.
If not the best, i'd say easy one of the best tutorial/How to videos i've ever seen. Just did mine step by step. Thanks

Just watched this again, and it saved me all sorts of aggravation. I installed a Grayguns adjustable P365 trigger and was having trouble with the bar going into the takedown lever, and let me tell you, the installation is further complicated by having a thumb safety on my FCU (I’m in MA). So thank you again Eric.
Edit: Oh, and I pulled the pin out too far and the safety lever fell out. Again, I think reassembly is complicated by the thumb safeties which I didn’t take off. All my best.

@@SigGuy what made mine even worse is I have a manual safety. I was able to figure it out before you responded. I was shooting in the dark at hitting the hole, but with patience I was able to get the pin in the hole. Reassembled everything and all functions well. I’ll go bust some caps tomorrow for a real function check. Thank you for your response.

Awesome video again. I did find that the take down bar is easier to wiggle free from the back first. 2nd the trigger bar spring is super easy with 1/8" finger nail.
You really are the BEST. The multitude of times I watched this video (multiple before the attempt, steadily during the attempts and during checkups) the main thing I kept saying was 🤔 he HAS TO be a teacher in some fashion. Not only in your patience but in your ability to prepare the viewers for the level patience we would need to even PREPARE for the attempt. The parts you said would be most difficult (getting back in that takedown lever notch 😩. Mine was an experience plus I have the manual safety 365 so I had to work around that in the beginning. This was the best video I think I watched on Sigs and you are definitely worthy of the name. You’re gonna have me watching videos I don’t need to watch but I know for a fact I’ll leave with new information…#PATIENCE

Good video, I didn’t have any issues installing my new trigger after watching this. If you have some level of mechanical knowledge/dexterity it’s not a challenge at all.
Your video instruction was great. Tried the flat trigger and took it to the range. Didnt really work for me. It doesnt fit the bend of my trigger as well as the factory so i will reinstall the factory. But your video made it easy, thanks

Although a huge upgrade for the 365 as well, as I love mine, I just wish they put the same subtle grooved machine work for texture just like how it is on the 320 version of this trigger. As opposed to a completely smooth surface this time.
Great video, I have the flat trigger coming in the mail Friday so I will be putting it in, I watch it twice but I will watch it a few more times and when I start on putting it in I will bring this video up and do it step-by-step, thanks.
