Happy new year beautiful! In today's video, I wanted to follow up with my last pigmentation brightening video. Today I'm sharing a few tricks and tips that you can do to take your hydroquinone to the next level if you're not currently achieving noticeable results. Hydroquinone prefers an acidic environment with a lower pH of around three if possible. If you apply an acidic ingredient like glycolic acid, lactic or vitamin C to your skin first, you will allow the HQ to not oxidize so it works better. If you feel advanced you can also mix the HQ with the acidic ingredients mentioned then apply. For those with very stubborn pigmentation, it has been recommended to apply Retin-A or Retinol right after you apply your HQ to help push the HQ deeper into the skin. Did I lose you, girl?
