OUTSTANDING CRAFTMENSHIP !!! It is obvious, you are a very passionate perfectionist. I'll bet, after completition you noticed at least one thing you have could have done better. - I am the same. Unfortunately there are not so many installers out their who take pride in their installations. Also, not every customer is willing to pay for the extra time it takes to install such a master piece. - Well Done !
Absolutely awesome install! I wish I could have the time and materials to make this mechanical masterpiece! Only recommendation I would make is piping your relief valve with a material that has a working temperature above 182F. PVC is only 149F. Also, using 45s instead of 90s for reduced resistance and to guarantee quick and complete drainage.
Why not use a IBC boiler made in Canada? Any experience with them? The newer SL fire tube boilers have some really nice features. All stainless HX with a lifetime warranty, built in zone control, piping on both sides and a nice control interface. We know the Naviens leak from the factory.
Love your work I do some similar stuff find it hard for my customers to understand/ appreciate what I do. Do you find you have the same issue also how do you charge for something people don’t understand or appreciate
Hi. Do you have any videos explaining more about how the recirculation line works in this type of setup? I am new at this and not quite understanding. Thanks
This is by far the best job I’ve seen. Now let’s talk $. Is this for a spec builders or home owner? How much of a premium would this cost a spec builder? All in all it’s amazing work.
this would be around the 20,000 can for the on demand furnace and custom piping and extras....the sad truth is that if you a good organized trades person you can complete this in the same amount of time as some "standard installs" its just take organization, patience, long days and constant concentration on piping layout and flow... total build time was about a week.
@Underbitelover for jack hammering up the concrete ...redoing the illegal sewer drain...and run new sewer lines and drains to make it a legal suite ...re-patch concrete, install the new furnace and A-coil plus the Air-conditioning condenser outside ...wiring, venting, piping, tin work ...all adds up unfortunately...was a mess before
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I though the piping coming out of the Navien's exhaust vent must start with straight and not angled in order to exhaust effectively?
That is good for 60feet at 2 inch 636. He has hubs cut into 45's best as i can tell. A long radius elbow is good for 5 feet of vent restriction, 45's rated for 2.5. As long as it slopes back to the navien he is fine. I see no venting issues what so ever. Looks great. Some people kick them in with 45's towards each other to get to a concentric (pancake style) or otherwise vents. Also I think he is probably kicking it that way to get clearance from the furnace venting.
@@96thundercat Nav needs to make some fire tube units. And had to replace a burnt defective navian control today. Heat exchanger is definitely leaking combustion gases. Owner doesn’t give 2 shits 😂
Nice job 👍 Unfortunatly the navien has some manufacturing flaws. You should check naviens for heat exchange leaks. CHECK OUT Mikey Pipes page on youtube the naviens leak out of the box!
Thats unfortunate, I have yet to hear of this, but all things have mistakes. There was a series that I dealt with that had issues out of the box with the motherboard. They air freighted a replacement and it arrived next day. Warranty still good. I think everyone has issues from time to time with their production, its just what they do when something goes wrong. Also, heat exchanger DOA is really shitty lol!
I was actually wondering if they had a use at all I left the room to grab laundry to fold and thought I missed something. Like whoa, grundfos has frankenpumps!
Wow! Great install. It’s so difficult to find customers willing to appreciate and pay for fine craftsmanship
James your workmanship is outstanding.......
kind words pete

If all the work out there was as clean as yours, the world would spin much more efficiently.
You sure do a beautiful job and attention to details are amazing.
Drains 👏 pipes clean as a church organ
Amazing work !!
Geez, ur furnace room looks better than my entire house interior!

Trust me it crossed my mind but for symmetry I just decided to use pvc ...thanks for the comments!!
@@canuckmechanical6490 It certainly looks nice. Cheers!
Work of art! What brand pressure and temperature sensor would you recommend/do you use?

The price of the install had to cost twice as much as the unit itself
This is top tier work.
Awesome work
I love PPR pipe
It takes talent to use and thank god they have no shark bite for it yet ....it’s a great product for people who care about doing a great job
I like the look but you better have a no meat on the bones price if you want the job. Thxs for the vids!
Your work is art

I love it! Well done!!
Are you guys hiring lol it looks amazing quality over quantity love it
Would you tell me what water alarm you used and recommend?

We’re do you get funnels?????
11/2” x4” abs couplings
That's awesome
You check that Nav for combustion leaks?
Most of them eventually leak, you are correct sir!

My Boss only give me 5 hours to finish a Navien install
Unfortunate we allow 8 hours for two guys minimum…..
I’m a huge fan of the IBC boilers used to put in a lot of the Navien’s still nice but in my opinion the IBC is better
Nice job 👍

I like the arrows
I'm not saying this is bad but it's such overkill. Like wtf is with the lightning lights in the left?

Bragging rights of course. Great lights, nice to see a little fun in the project.
Dam nice
