“ You will always get what you pay for” it’s great to give the customer the most for what they pay for. That’s lookin out for the best interest for the customer and above all else that’s integrity. That install is without a doubt a piece of art. Everyone should lead by this example.

Excellent clean job as always. Problem where I Iive is people cry when you price a job and want to do the cleanest work but they don’t want to pay for it. That changeout had to be at least 18,000.00.

Ya it’s weird I get asked to come and install all over North America ….but there has to be one contractor in your area that’s has that eye for detail

Hats off to you!! That is the dream to be able to do installs that perfect and make a living doing it.
Thanks for sharing. And I agree about clients getting want they pay for. I've seen so many setups and installs/Retro that are just butchered. It is a shame sometimes homeowners have no idea about what they have.

I have to put in a Navien boiler 2 zones This means removing the old boiler and water heater. All this is in a closet off from the kitchen. I also have to throw down some tile. Do you think $12,000 is enough or even to much for the job? Tile I am putting down, is just to clean up the floor a little bit, not much work to put down the tile, and prep for the tile. By the way, where in Canada are you. Canuck sounds like NFLD? My mother was born and raised there. I am in NY now. I was born here.

Nice job but you will have a lot of problems with that Navien boiler in the future with combustion leaks and seals leaking , also those flow and return primary pipes look on the small size to be feeding 5 zones , not a criticism just an observation....

Great video. I am doing a new build 4000sqft house with hydronic infloor heating. 6 bathrooms and 2 kitchens as I have a basement suite. Plumber recommends IBC boiler with 80 gallon storage tank. Any thoughts if the tank is necessary or combi boiler with on demand is sufficient? Also have you ever done heat pump hydronic systems?

Hey. I recently purchased a new built house which has the Laars MFTCW199NA2XN. 2 zone heating with recirculating hot water for far away domestic faucets.
This boiler always go to Error 42 mode and stops working in the cold season when Thermostats is on. When error 42 happens, also red light on the device on top of the boiler comes on which says LOW Water.
I called few plumbers and I almost spent $700 just for visit and diagnosing to those plumbers. They come, do some touches, open and close some valve or screws and leave, and after a few hours or days, again this error comes up.
Normal pressure for this boiler is between 15 to 30 PSI. But I found out if sometimes if I open the increasing valve and increase the pressure to 26-28 psi, error goes away for few hours or lucky days. Also cleaning the air valve on top of the boiler might help. But I’m really tired of this situation. Do you have any idea it may help me? Or if you located in NYC, can you visit, please?
Also condensation happens in the exhaust pipe and around pvc pipe is dripping, which I don’t know what should I do about it.

Nice job but you miss the back-flow preventer on the boiler make-up water if you have a problem with feed valve inside the boiler the heating water can escape in the cold drinking water. No good.

I’ve been working on a 20 year old system for a couple days for a customer and don’t run into the combination multi use radiant set up often where I’m at. There’s no traditional fill valve they use a Polaris tank and boiler. If I isolate and purge one zone at a time is the system filling itself or would you recommend using a non sub pump to push water through the loop while I drain the loop

@@786otto I love this. Naviens are complete trash. People that are loyal to them and install them are what is called “blind loyalty” you completely ignore the big problems. I have had countless navien units that are installed correctly but completely fail. 75% of the ones I come across have cross contamination and high cabinet temp. You can see this by seeing a bunch of oil all over the plastic parts of the heat exchanger. The pcb board turns brown due to high cabinet temp. The exhaust packing ring fails all the time. They are trash. “Facts don’t care about your feelings”
