  • Hello Folks:
I hope you are all doing well ...
This is the video everyone has been waiting for !!!
Although my little girl did not have to do the videography for this one, I still have to thank her for keeping an eye on me and reminding me a couple times that I did not have the video turned on !!!
BIG shout-out to Kaili, my partner ...

You are now a 2x savior. My V400 had another massive clog, encasing the entire hot end. I cleaned it out but the wires were in a filament blob and they broke. Likewise, several of the screws were unremovable. FLSUN sent me replacement parts and I appreciate it although the parts did take almost three weeks to arrive. Anyway, thanks to your video I reassembled the whole effector. There's just one thing... You know those 6 ball joints on the mounting plate? The set screws holding them in are so tight on the original, I stripped out 4 of them! I kid you not. Why they didn't just include a complete mounting plate is beyond me. I think I have to drill them out and then find replacements locally or via Amazon. Joys of 3D printing.

      Big Smile:
Yes, I have had this issue as well. Those set screws seem like they are using lock-tight. I agree that you will have to remove these screws by brute force !!!

@@dennisgignac5103 I did drill them out and transferred the ball joints to the new plate. I found some small bolts that matched the size. The printer is back up and running!

Great breakdown video. I enjoy my v400 but found that my Thermistor is stuck in the heat block. But at least they gave me a spare part. :-{ There was another issue, so I purchased a new effector as I can use the original for spare parts since there is not much on the FLSUN site for parts for the V400. For the price, I would have expected the machine, to have better build-quality screws. Found the screws are made of soft metal and easy to strip. Over time, the motion of the effector caused the hotend to be loose and need to be tightened and that is how I come to be here. Keep up the great work Dennis. I enjoy your channel.

I have had my V400 for 8 months now.
Since then I have had the MCU burnout as well as the effector control board.
    FLSUN did replace both.
    Also have the FLSUN enclosure.
I just purchased a second one and am making parts on the original for a custom enclosure.
Have since upgraded the part cooling to 5015 fans.
Also both will be outfitted with stepper motor cooling using a temp controller.
An ADXL345 input shaper is a must.
Since the upgrade to the cooling and the input shaper on the original machine my prints are now coming out fantastic.
I print the inner and outer walls @280mm/s and Sparse infill @350mm/s.
    Internal solid infill @250mm/s.
I am slowly increasing speeds BUT very aware that the type of filament is the linchpin.
Using PLA Plus at this time.
Delta's are a unique printer and are not for everyone BUT with a bed that does not move first layers problems are a thing of the past compared to a bed slinger.
Thanks for this detailed video once again.
    Cheers.

Guess what. I suffered a head crash on Saturday and it being the heat break. I've ordered a full replacement as well as new nozzle kit. I plan on doing the replacement upfront to get the printer back into operation and then replace the nozzle kit so I have a replacement.

@@dennisgignac5103 Question. Do you have a video for replacing the nozzle kit? Things went south with the full effector (won't go into detail but a confusion with a store on AliExpress). I got the nozzle kit but would prefer not having to take the effector off the printer to replace the nozzle kit.

Great Tutorial! Thank you very much! The Fanduct are very grued... ähm... glued. 😉 I´ve tried it many times but i´m not sucsessfully. 😢 The original does not hit the nozzle exactly and overhangs are printed rather poorly. There is a model on Printables (291550) that is supposed to work much better but I can't get this glue off. 🤬

Thank you Sir! All of your V400 tutorials have been helpful. I'd like to replace my V400 nozzle however they are never in stock. Someone on youtube pulled the nozzle upon assembling the delta for review and mentioned that the 400mm speed is achieved partially because of a special nozzle that FLsun developed specifically for the V400 and it differs from generic 4mm nozzles. Any thoughts?

    • @dennisgignac5103

      Hello BooBoo !!!
Yes, they are certainly different because the entry point of the nozzle has 2 entry points that splits the filament and allows for more flow.
I have a few here in the USA. Just message me in FB.
