Somehow my v400 got a little out of Z calibration. It's been over a year and this is the best description of the process I've come across. Thanks so much for posting, it really saved me time.
Thank you sir! i have been having issues for a week and i could not get it dialed in. watching you fine tune everything while it was printing solved it for me!
This was really a helpful video - thanks for taking the time make it. I was having some issues with my V400 and this helped me better understand the layer height and how to adjust.
hi i have updated to the new 1.4 version and the calibration menu has changed no more bed mesh seems to do it all in one now but when the screen changes to the move 0 the z offset is showing 0.00 and when press the move 0 it comes down but the head seems to hit the bed why is that and do i just move the head up until the paper is sliding with a little residents need some help please also flsun has a printer.cfg file on there website with the 1.4 update do i have to copy that to my machine and over write the original printer.cfg file not much info about it on the net can you do a video of the calibration sequence please
How does klipper know what the offset between the nozzle and probe is? Do you have to set it before hand? Every time i do this the print starts around the "nozzle to probe offset" which is about 16mm off the bed.
@@dennisgignac5103 I think I got it. It seems i had to z calibrate before the bed calibration. I may have gotten the config files messed up before I tried following your video.
@@dennisgignac5103 Hmm, something strange happens when using this file on my v400. Right before the print is about to start, it unloads the filament, retracts fully so the entire filament just ejects from the extruder
@@dennisgignac5103 i only can print in a maximum diameter of 150 - 200mm. If i try to print on the whole printbed it doesn't work. Some areas looks smashed. It seems the printer is ignoring the bed mesh. I think i tried everything.
Hallo Dennis It seems you have a number of FLSun printers in your workshop. Fistly, have you tried to print something using the full 300mm diameter and secondly, have you tested a larger nozzle e.g. 1mm to test max extrusion? Would you considder the new T1 or S1? Merry Xmas from South Africa.
Yes, being the USA rep for FLsun. I have all of their printers set up to help people... I have not printed any model that wide. But I have printed the test pattern to about 280mm. I have not tried the 1mm nozzle. Only the .4 and the .6 When the S1 and the T1 are shipping, I will be one of the first to get one... Big Smile
@@dennisgignac5103 Thank you Dennis. I dont know when we will see the S1/T1 here in SA, but cannot wait. It is going to be perfect fir my productuon line. If i can ask you a fav, would it be possible to test the claimed 300 dia on the FLSun 400 with a 1 mins vid? Much appreciated.
Thank you for the brief explanation from Germany 😊.
Very Welcome !!!
