Haha the growth in the last 24 hours has been pretty exciting and humbling. Definitely glad to see people are enjoying the videos and excited about ecology and conservation
The biodiversity in Canada is often under appreciated but it’s definitely there. Canada has all kinds of amazing terrestrial and aquatic species that are ecologically and culturally important. It definitely gets hot in the summer in Southern Ontario! Thanks for watching and commenting.
@blakespower As I always tell all my Canadian friends, Canada is a great country if you like snow on the ground ten months out of the year and don't mind Polar Bears' roaming the city streets every Winter.
Earth loves us, all it ask is to clean up after ourselves like a guest at a house when some one doesn’t respect our house we kick them out so let’s not get kicked out by earth.
For turtles and other amphibians and smaller animals, trail cameras/sensors would be the primary mechanism for counting. For larger mammals at larger crossing sites, there could be a combination of methods including things like hair snare wires. Thanks for watching!
Hello respectable sir, I visited your whole UA-cam Channel and I'm very impressive about your every video. But you know why your videos are do not get enough views? Do you know why your Channel do not get enough Subscribes? Because your videos are did not take advantage to world wide. If you do not solve this issues then your channel will not get enough grow and you cannot earn enough from this youtube.
I can’t tell if you are suggesting that because a number of turtles used this passage over a 6 year period in one location that implies all turtles in Canada are not threatened, or if you are advocating that Canada needs more of these crossing structures since this one has been so successful. Hoping for the second one

Interesting analogy! Thanks for watching!
What technology is used to count the number of turtles using those specialized road crossings? Trail cameras or something else?

Can you give the turtles little carts so they can cross faster?
Seriously though: the tunnels and the artificial nesting sites are a great idea
They've been using this method in Banff for several years now.
For sure! On a much larger scale too for bigger wildlife as well. I have another video about that on my channel too. Thanks for watching!
@@DavidBysouth Thanks David, I will surely be watching your videos.
How cool is that?
Super cool! Thanks for watching!
Hurray for the turtle hurdle!
Why did the turtle cross the road? GO!
Was 100% a title I considered using haha. Thanks for watching!

That’s good advice. Probably only the US and Canada see these.
6700 turtles use one crossing but yet they’re in danger get a fucking grip Canada

Were there 6700 crossings or 6700 individual animals?
