Polar bears are larger no?... moose? Grizzly?
Plains Bison can weigh up to 2,200lbs while polar bears can weigh up to 1,200lbs and moose up to 1,100lbs. Wood bison can be even heavier and larger than plains bison
Excellent presentation.
Appreciate it!

Who is natural predator for bison here in food chain ? Otherwise it will have very high growth rate and it may become more than required..?
I appreciate that you bring these stories to us, David! Thanks for emphasizing indigenous perspectives and leadership that are integral to conservation and restoration. -Sam from Win-nipi, Treaty 1
So glad you are enjoying the videos!
The bison are fulfilling their role as a keystone species, creating a vibrant mosaic of habitats that benefit a wide range of species, from bugs to birds to bears. As of 2024, the herd has grown to over 130 animals and is thriving. This project is not only an ecological triumph but also a cultural one, as it helps renew historical and ecological connections for Indigenous communities.
Can't wait for hunting season! 😂🎉
It's amazing the stupidity and selfishness of man, whereby they knew that they were hunting a species into extinction, yet they continued to hunt down and kill the last remaining ones left. This still goes on today in countries like Africa where many animals have to be protected by armed soldiers and police, and if they were not protected, evil greedy men would have hunted down and killed the last Rhinos and Elephants for their horns and Tusks.
Oh wow. Congratulations, Canada. I live in New Zealand. We don't have Bison. But I'm overwhelmed with gratitude to all involved with this amazing project. I can't wait to see more videos.
I wish "I" could get airlifted into that Same Park!! Merry Christmas Everyone !🤶🎅🌲🤶🎅🌲
Another good vid David!
Thanks so much!

As a MAGA conservative in the states, I believe this was a great thing you did, Canada. Wolves, bears and bison belong in the national parks of north America.

Great job done, nice video. Going to be a success, sure of it. And rivers opening up too in the USA, so a lot of restoration projects making life return.
And now the first Nations want to hunt them again
Have you introduced some new bulls to expand the bloodlines
Only just getting them back in UK - European Bison granted and not free ranging but magnificent none the less and hopefully sign of things to come. All the best to the project, showing how ecosystems can be rebuilt.
This makes me happy.
That guy commenting is missing his Banjo
Love your UA-cam Channel ! Amazing Video. Just subscribed ! 😍😀
Thanks so much for the kind words and the support!
Do the indigenous people not herd caribues? The Swedish indigenous people herd reindeer

Incredibe 6miliions lol glad we happy for so little
Awesome project, now what do you do with the tourons 😮
Go Canada! More re-habitation, we want more. We want more hunting land ranching laws instituted...save and protect all alpha predators, replace beef with free range bison. Make the move, be a planet savior...not a planet killer.

Wood buffalo national park.had some 25 years ago
I love the stories of the reintroduction of animal species that have died out in a region of any country, especially the smaller species like that of the beavers in Britain and this the reintroduction of bison in Canada as well as the elephant in countries of Africa. People all over the world are helping to bring back lost species over the last forty or fifty years. I only wish that other people would do the same when it comes to animals of other countries, those people who can't or won't see that what they are doing is plain stupid. Killing animal species off for something that they can find growing on ourselves like rhinoceros horns, they are exactly the same as our fingernails. We don't have to kill other animals because they can get more keratin from one animal, but humans are now birthing more and more babies every year, it will soon be at a point where we can't feed us all if we haven't gotten to that point already.
I am surprised they have not done this before . I can recall Bison in Elk Island National Park way back in the 1960's .
👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😆
Did u have prommission to take my bison
Given the small number introduced how do you safeguard against inbreeding?
BUT BUT BUT they fart just like dairy cows ...the nwo/wef/un is not gonna be happy with you guys
Fantastic but are they really an imperiled species? I mean they are farming these animals. These ever so nice environmentalist types do their cause no advancement if they persist to constantly overstate the decline of many species and animals that are not endangered. They lose people’s trust and their credibility until one time to many we have a genuine situation and nobody believes it because of the regular abuse of claiming absolutely everything is on the edge of extinction. They have already created a seed of doubt in me when i hear them make such doomed claims.
I'm sick of music in these clips
Only the government could spend 6 million on a project that could have been done for less than 100 thousand.
You probably have big cats to control the population already. We are just starting to get jaguars and panthers back in the south-central U.S. We need them since the deer populations have become incredibly invasive.
"THANK YOU SOUTH DAKOTA"
You didn't once mention the wild horses in Alberta with regard to the reintroduction of the Bison? Canada needs to get behind the wild horse population as well. Great news for the Bison 🦬 and long may it continue ❤ x.
😅 First you destroyed thir population because they there food of native Americans so you can steal their lands and starve them. Nice propaganda campaign 👍.
