My grandma in Ontario Canada has a 71 acre property 4 of those acres are swampy fields that wild turtles took over about 20 years ago and are now endangered so she fenced off the property and now has hundreds of turtles. Mostly painted and wood turtles. Which happen to be my favourites.
Man, if I owned my own property and wasn't as old as dirt, I'd be sooooooo getting an AquaScape pond--- but mine would have to be like Kenan's! I wanna swim in it!
It's never too late, man. Maybe you can save up some money and get some people to help you with it because of your years of age. Again it's never too late. I hope you get the pond you want some day. :)
Greg, I think that is awesome with what you're doing with Noah as well as your idea of a future turtle habitat! It's a huge responsibility and not easy taking a youth under your wing. But no doubt... You'd be a perfect mentor! 👌 👍 You've got a huge heart & you're definitely one of a kind my friend. 😉 👍

Love Greg’s Turtle Haven. My pond had a major leak & so far we haven’t been able to afford to put it back together. We bought an Aquascape kit but it’s still in the box. It’s been raining so much it’s all muddy around the hole. Never seen so much rain this year in California.

Ha! I’m not the only one on Zillow looking at backyards as my main deciding factor on a home. I’m glad there’s likeminded people like me out there. My wife gets to decide on the house itself but ultimately if the backyard is not what I want/need for what I want to do then it’s a no-go. I have a peninsula cooter, red eared slider, a sulcata, and some species of box turtle I’m unsure which subspecies but I can’t have a small backyard so I’m looking for a backyard not a house 😂😂
That setup is absolutely stunning! I have six turtles myself (3 yellow belly sliders, 1 pink belly side neck, and 2 razorback musks) and they would just love a pond like that! A legitimate Aquascape pond, made by real ACAs, is absolutely on my bucket list. I will have one on my property within the next decade. I can't wait! 🐢💦
Great video! I used to see turtles trying to cross road as a kid and ALWAYS helped them. Sadly, Austin TX metro is developing too fast and don't see them anymore. :-(
