My first lumber mill job had me trimming boards with a Sachs-Dolmar 122. That saw would start in 2 or 3 pulls every time. I now have 2 Sachs-Dolmar 133's, 1 I took on trade, and the other my brother picked up in a scrap yard, and it runs! I also own a Makita 7901, but it gives me headaches!!!
I own a 114. When I was using it regularly I'd have bet money it'd start in 2 (or less) pulls. Maybe because it's a smaller saw or something? I don't know, but she's not hard to start at all 😂
Tinman love it when Christmas comes early to you. I'm 75+ HD pilot and mechanic. Been OH vw since 1972 and have always used Hylomar blue to seal cases. Tubes never dryout. Same as HD factory sealer. Good stuff. My be better than motoseal?? Dabble in chainsaws, and a friend today gave me a 394, that was given to him. Very dirty x faller saw with igniter wire disconnected??? Cheers Poppa
Man of tin. You've got enough power saws to last you the rest of your life. I don't know how retirement works in Canada. But when it happens for you, and you go full time power saws, the world better look out. Look forward to the info & your enthusiasm. It's infecious. Thanks.
Love your channel Tinman. Every time I tune in I start hearing "Oz never did give nothing to the Tinman" a line in the song Tin Man by the group America. Keep it going!
That thing does sound great, but it would be way too much saw for my broken body! In my area of Montana the Pine trees only require my MS361,but when I cut poplar or cottonwood I'd bring out the MS460. I guess I could have gone bigger, but never really needed to for firewood.
Back in the '70s there was an auto parts dealership that sold those. The 133 should top out at 10500 per factory lit. This dealership sold the 112/114 for $500 back then. Those were a 50cc saw/20" bar that turned 14000. They would outcut everything back then & will give fits to the new saws now. Problem was that rpm would knock the lower rod bearing. There's also a 166 model. They are very stout starters, believe me!
Hey Tinman i just got back from northern B.C. picked up a Dolmar 133 Super, Stihl 070, and a Husky 2100. I'm in southern Manitoba where abouts are you? Love the content.
I am sure you are asked often, "What does it take to get my Sachs working?" I have two with ignition issues, a 120 and a 123. I would like to have them running again.
Hey tinman ive got a 133 thats impossible to find a full wrap for, does it look like a full wrap from any of your other saws would fit on the 133? Like one from a husky 395? Trying to figure out if i can use a full wrap from a different saw since dolmar full wraps are impossible/stubpid expensive!
I'm rebuilding a 266se and a 288xp, your videos have been a real wealth of knowledge. One small example is the disassembly and reassembly process of the clutch cover with roll pins. That's knowledge being passed down that I wouldn't have found anywhere else online. Friendly fella's like yourself and Walter Logan are so full of information and knowledge. You have a great day mate, Col from South Australia.
Hey man,can you help me with some info?i need a cylinder for this dolmar 133,mine is scratched to aluminium so the nikasil is damaged...i bought it because i want to make it work again...restoring it...thanks !
Greetings from Europe. Spring has arrived in our country and many saws are in full operation to cut down what needs to be cut down for the next heating season. At least in my area and among those who care about the natural regeneration of the forest... I have one question for you how much gasoline did you spend adjusting those ancient chainsaws and all these Chinese clones that don't have catalytic converters? (I mean the models before the catalytic converter? ) in all these years, can you at least roughly calculate some kind of average? Do you think you're a friend to the environment? I have to ask you that question because I personally have been intrigued by that question for some time because there are many repairmen and tuners who remove the catalyst as the first thing they do. How efficient is that catalyst and is it a bigger problem for the environment to work with or without a catalyst? For all those invited and uninvited who think to comment on this conversation, I have a message, let them spend their time elsewhere. My question is of a personal nature, because somehow I think that these old examples of chainsaws should be put on the shelves and that we accept new technology such as catalytic converters and we use and not remove them. Of course, I have to thank you for everything I learned from you.
Yes. Poulan and Dolmar had a manufacturing exchange. Poulan lacked in the big saw market and Dolmar were the same in the small saw market. Dolmar produced the 5500 and 6000 for Poulan (which were S-D 143 and 153) and Poulan made the Dolmar 100 for S-D.
Best chainsaws IMO,i love the way their power is passed on cutting, even the smaller ones! I have eleven, unfortunately collection stops on 116si...my biggest

Wish my saw started so easily!
Hey didn't Sachs make a snowmobile engine. My friend had one.???
Dont forget to find that bar nut.
"Oh yeah I remember this" 😂❤
I got excited watching both those saws they are beasts !
My parents sold Sachs dolmar saws back in the 80's. They also sold Stihl and Husqvarna.
Hey tin man your awesome!
Lost a bar nut at about 7:07 lol. Sweet saw I’d love to have a 133, 153, or 166.

Dolmars are cool!!

I've got a 123. Owned it for 20+ years. This week the carb started playing up. I need to investigate further. Sounds awesome when it running. 👍
I installed a ignition module chip in my 133 after seeing tinman do it on another dolmar . It runs great
I just picked up at 1:33. I can’t find a bar or chain for it anywhere.
I’m trying to source a long bar for this saw 133, any ideas on what would work? 2024
Don’t know if you picked it up. But I believe one of the bar nuts fell off

Can you make me one of those hot set of exhaust pipes for my 6421 dolmar/makita?
How do we get ahold of your shop?
Buckin sent me over...
Welcome to the channel. I don't sell pipes yet, maybe someday.
Will be a ripper of a saw to run

What's vc?
Is this saw the same as the poulan s6000?

o machado e a motosserra (the axe and the chainsaw)
entraram junto no mato pra mostrar a serventia
a motosserra roncava machado velho tinia
e naquele matagal foi só cavaco de pau pó de serra que subia
e esse grande duelo deste jeito é que termina
na briga das ferramentas o machado é que domina
motosserra parou cedo ali no tronco da quina
machado seguiu cortando mata grossa e mata fina
motosserra impotente rebentou sua corrente acabou a gasolina
your bar nut fell off
On two saws. I saw that too.
If I had a nickle for every time I've done that.....
Super dad , must be cold there looks like your Gatorade is frozen haha cheers man man
