I've been using GrubEX under my hives going on my 2nd year. There has been a noticeable drop in SHBs in my hives. Many I see zero. Others only 1 or 2, but not the numbers I was seeing before application.
So the question that comes to mind is how deep does a SHB larva burrow? If more than an inch or so I don’t see how that light spray would penetrate deep enough even with plenty of rain.
I can guess you cannot have chickens where you live but that would work better than spraying your lawn with chemicals. JUST SAYS but I hope you get this fixed and your bees do great for you. BEE have you did not lose every hive.
Thank you for sharing this information. I used Grub X this year in a couple of my yards and seems to be helping. Unrelated to this video have you compared your OA strips to the new ones that came out on the market?
I hate shb.i live in mobile, alabama it's hot and humid most of the time. I have tried everything I know to combat them. One of the things I've noticed is when the advantage is given to shb they will take over a hive. That happens alot during second week of varroa treatment when the queen slows down laying. Which I do in July. I may change to another time to treat. I also treat in December and April with no problem. Do you have the same problem during this time of year. Thankyou
All I can say is I love ya!!!!
Thanks John!

All good questions, but it is already a product on the market for pupating larvae.

I have not, which ones are you referring to? I didn't even know there was one on the market!
@chuckshoneybees I think the name is Varroxsam OA Stips. I have not seen them in person yet. Made and used the strips you had in your video last year.

Yes, your timing is the same as mine, and weak hives are the usual victims.
Is the product your using restricted and need a pesticide application license? Also for commercial use only?
Nat that I am aware of or can find anywhere on the label.
How do you deal with wax moth?
I use Xentari to spray my wax. I have a separate video on this.
@@chuckshoneybees Thanks!
