- I'm saying goodbye to rust finally. The underbody and frame receive a good clean, and the rust on the panels are cut away!
Starting off the video i worked on cleaning and prepping the underbody for paint. I tried a product from the home depot called Krud Kutter, the must for rust. It was just an extra step to get rid of rust in those hard to reach places. And the it shed some rather surprising results. Following that i began working on measuring and evaluating where i was going to make cuts for the new quarter panels. Using a square i carefully outlines my cutting section and went for it. Already the panels look better even with half of it missing. So much better then the rust.

Well quarter panel rust can be see from inside the car, removing plastic things. They all rust the same way.

Wishing I could find a body shop in Ontario that can do this for my 2000 ek. I’m having the same rust issues that needs repair.
where did you buy your replacement Panels?
What rust converter did you use ? i'm painting my engine bay now and i'm from canada too so i got some rust !
So with the engine bay, I grinded down and kicked off the loose rust, cleaned it good and just used POR15's metal prep, with underneath the car since I was dealing with more rust, I used Krud Kutters Rush Remover and Inhibitor, few applications, and aswell the metal prep from POR15

Where's part 2 man? I saw the video where you repair the other side, but it showed the passenger side and it was already complete.

What cutting wheel are you using on the grinder? Regular hardware store or something else?
Regular hardware, thinnest one I could find for metal
