Hi, I am new to the G5, trying to use the pps with radio reference. I am getting the message all protocol is o setting\ I cannot get past this or figure it out. Can you help?
Awesome videos! have a G5 UHF/VHF. I have 2 systems programmed that are P25 trunking. 2 departments near me went P25 conventional and I would like to add them to this radio but can't for the life of me figure out how to do that. I've looked everywhere and can't find how to edit my radio to add these. Would you be able to help me? Thank you for your time sir!
Can I scan P25 conventional channels? I'm not seeing that option. My city Police and Fire Dispatch channels are on two different P25 conventional frequencies. I'm not seeing a way to select the protocol in the Normal Scan, Priority Scan, or Silent Scan Receiving modes.
I'm looking at buying several of these. will this pager let you scan and listen to our 800mhz channels and still go off with our vhf tones at the same time without having to be on the vhf channel so we know we have a run?? I was told no it has to be on vhf channel to get page???
How can I program a P25 conventional channel using a NAC code, into a zone ( tab #5 zone & ch ) the same way as DMR conventional? It forces me to enter a TG that I am not associated with. I just sometimes want to scan / monitor P25 alone.

Can u send me the file that you were talking about that has all the Ohio talkgroups on it? I would appreciate it. I have mine programmed to the area I live in in Ohio but I think it would be cool to have the file your talking about with all the talkgroups and try the wildcard thing. My g5 is not reading to the software
New users may find they have to disable wifi and / or disable their Local Area Connection so the software will "see" the pager.

i got a g5 just did the firmware update to 1.31 now the g5 wont alert to vhf please help unication usa
