When the G5 is off, the screen will show a charging icon as it chargers as well...but you need to have the pager turned on when you place it into the charger, then shut it off to see that on the screen.

That pager reminds me of a star trek communicator. All it needs is a star trek insignia on it.
Change the screen time out to at least 20 seconds

8 hour battery? my minitor6 lasts at least 48 hours. i cant imagine having to charge my pager 2-3 times during a shift

Battery life is at least 20 hours.
Battery life is a huge let down.
