I get what he's trying to say, but he's not a great communicator. He's saying within the fictional movie-logic, it's coincident, but from the perspective of the viewer, it's an intentional choice and therefore not coincidental. They're both right, technically.
I've been watching some old episodes, and is it just me, or does Mike seem to get more drunk every year? I'm middle aged my self, and it definately takes less to make me clumsy and slur my words. In earlier years you couldn't tell that any of them had had so much as a drop. But recently...
I think the fact that this video was edited by Mike is proof positive that nobody finds Mike's descent into alcoholism and dementia more hilarious than himself.

My favorite is at the end when (paraphrased) Mike says “An actor can play a doctor, but a doctor can’t be an actor.” Jay yells, “That’s not true! Ken Jeung was a doctor who became an actor!” “No, Jay. That’s what you’d call a coincidence.”

The opening is a good example of the psychological term "learned helplessness". Every choice Josh makes leads to Mike destroying Josh's hope. Eventually Josh realizes there is nothing he can do, he is helpless in this situation, and just stops to function as a human and refusing to make any choice. They used to do these experiments on puppies, but that was too cruel.

This episode was truly and utterly unhinged. I could feel Mike's thought patterns breaking down into circular paradoxes as the ale robbed him of what little mental acumen remains for a man of his advanced age and forced him to turn on Rich and Jay. It was almost disturbing to watch. Please make more like this
I heartfully disagree. Had she picked the yellow earmuffs, the yellow would transition from an accent color to a competing color that clashes with the green. By going with the green muffs, she keeps the main green motif intact while the yellow scarf divides the green into separate, yet complimentary segments, as an accent color should. Now naturally, she would have wanted green earmuffs with yellow accenting to really sport up the ensemble, but in a pinch I think she made the right call.

If it were simple, it wouldn't be as fun. After all the whole point of the Wheel, Plinketto, Junka, and any other way Mike can think of picking random films to watch; Creates a sense of randomness. It keeps things interesting. You'll get the occasional clunker sure but then you'll get yourself a David Carradine, an Exploding Varmints, a Shoji Tabuji, or even something even more fun!
As a former prosecutor, this looks like Rich's defense team edited the last two minutes of the episode to persuade the jury into acquitting Rich on triple homicide charges.
It's endearing how Mike is trying to make a perfectly good point (that the video about the lady and the puppet isn't about asking for kids for a bit of money, but about imprinting the idea of giving money to the church so they'll do it _for their entire lives_ ), but his speech is so slurred by his uncontrollable, rampant alcoholism that it all comes out like gibberish to the other guys.
Was very noble of Mike to take on all of the group’s drunkenness and dementia for the discussion. He saw Jay mix up the tapes and knew he had to save his friends from their fate.

Beasel is absolutely the same type of entity as Pennywise. Appears every 27 years ("I'm back!"), lulls children into a false sense of security before feeding on their fears, most adults seem to be unaware of its presence. That one kid was just more perceptive than the others, I think, because he clearly knew something truly, inconceivably evil was in their midst.
Mike went from being a dad who was looking through his son's music collection to a grandpa who's slowly losing his reading comprehension in the span of 2 videos

I was REALLY hoping they'd land on Grandpa's Magical Toys because I use to watch that a lot when I was a kid. Imagine my unbridled excitement and then subsequent disappointment when they landed on it and grabbed the wrong tape to watch.

This is actually one of the deepest episodes I've seen. Rich in that last few minutes, man... you can SEE how he sees his former self in his friends and how he's concerned for them. He's happy he quit drinking but sad that he can't relate to them in their state. He's a really strong dude to be in that environment and stay sober. I respect him 100%.

I had Grandpa's Magical Toys as a small child. I remember almost nothing about it, other than a vague fondness. The emotional rollercoaster when they landed on it but then watched a different video almost killed me.

This is such a great showcase of each member of the panel's functions. Mike is an evil genius pretending to be a crazy drunk and provokes an insane argement, Rich gets exasperated and falls prey to Mike's gambit, Josh knows exactly what Mike is doing and still falls prey, Jay falling for it and just giggling like a lunatic anyway

Melting man melted my heart and will always have a place in the gooey centre. This was good too. But there were no shattered heads.
Beasel is absolutely the same type of entity as Pennywise. Appears every 27 years ("I'm back!"), lulls children into a false sense of security before feeding on their fears, most adults seem to be unaware of its presence. That one kid was just more perceptive than the others, I think, because he clearly knew something truly, inconceivably evil was in their midst.
Hopefully they didn't include the gangbang in the video.

I was REALLY hoping they'd land on Grandpa's Magical Toys because I use to watch that a lot when I was a kid. Imagine my unbridled excitement and then subsequent disappointment when they landed on it and grabbed the wrong tape to watch.

This is actually one of the deepest episodes I've seen. Rich in that last few minutes, man... you can SEE how he sees his former self in his friends and how he's concerned for them. He's happy he quit drinking but sad that he can't relate to them in their state. He's a really strong dude to be in that environment and stay sober. I respect him 100%.

I had Grandpa's Magical Toys as a small child. I remember almost nothing about it, other than a vague fondness. The emotional rollercoaster when they landed on it but then watched a different video almost killed me.

This is such a great showcase of each member of the panel's functions. Mike is an evil genius pretending to be a crazy drunk and provokes an insane argement, Rich gets exasperated and falls prey to Mike's gambit, Josh knows exactly what Mike is doing and still falls prey, Jay falling for it and just giggling like a lunatic anyway
