I have a feeling this is what's going on with the Lyric Graffiti X.
I hope not. I pre paid for one back in Jan, expected delivery in Aug.
I do too. I definitely don't see it coming in August
Is it delayed? I pre-ordered the original graffiti and it showed up on my doorstep. The X has also been reviewed by some of the regular reviewers so I think you all should be fine. It may be delayed but I think it'll show up. I did do a Kickstarter for the helix folding bike and waited 5vyears for it to arrive though lol. Some of the original Kickstarter people are still waiting like 8 years later!!!!!
@@simms196 They were originally supposed to come out like September 2023. It been pushed off a few times.
Yeah they have to have enough preorders to fill a 40 foot shipping container to make a profit off of the bike
Some companies try but end up like the Fisker of EVs
you don't get into business to ' try ' you do or stay away or else you're set to fail which is fair enough but others will have to make their way through the common difficulties of the business + the fear those who ' try ' cause in the market and that is bad for everyone.
I literally saw someone driving it one down the road yesterday
Same one of my neighbors has one
Some buyers received them, many more didn't
fyi apple is not reputable at all tbh, the only reason it's ok to preorder is their cash on hand as they're not using you as funding
i see these pop up for sale all the time here in nyc, always thought they looked cool tho
We just took delivery of both a Lyric Ghost and a Voodoo. Nearly a year after ordering, but it is what it is, and this practice seems to be the norm with many of these new ebike companies. On the bright side Lyric has a more pragmatic strategy of delivering their product to market by capping orders and focusing on small batches. I am sure delivery of the Graffiti X will happen
This is EXACTLY what Ristretto did hokding peoples money for over a year to produce the 512 and LIED about everything.
The bikes finally arrived and the bikes are NOT what they said they were.
I was initially excited about the Metacycle when I learned about it back then since I already own a Sondors ebike, but I had a wait and see attitude because they didn't have a history of good after sales support. I figured a $5K electric motorcyle needs good support just in case the product had issues. When they started to change the design to make it road legal while also increasing the price, it started to look less appealing especially since it costs more than a brand-new Kawasaki Ninja 250. You'd still need a motorcycle license plus have it registered and insured to operate. Way too risky to pour money into for something that may not live up to the hype. While the Metacycle did get into the hands of some who preordered, there isn't any after sale support.
The two solutions necessary are to require that all deposits be held in escrow or ‘secured’ by a third party. And two, force all speculative investments to hold all IP in a ‘public trust’ that looses private property rights protections if the company should fail to meet the median industry performance expectations within 7 or less years. These two regulatory changes would decrease the perverse economic incentives that allow unmitigated risk to accumulate within highly speculative publicly funded losses into privately subsidized gains. Hint: it’s not going to happen without legitimate Government.
Super 73 c1x? Are they next?
I doubt it, though you never know. Super 73 is not a company that has a long history of deceptive funding practices like Sondors, and they have a more loyal owner base.
Apex Predator is starting to look that way. They refuse to provide updates.
Storm Sondors screwed investors, customers, dealers and contractors. Hear Sondors has new owners and I hope everything works out. 🤞
hub motors just don't cut it
Very expensive to produce
@@SolarScootersuk Gearless hub motors are actually pretty cheap.
Why didn’t they start up a kickstarter fund have people who wanted one invest innthe brand/company? What everyone does woth new 3D printer's coming to the market and if you pay for it youll be the first to get yours before officially released! Its a great genuine thing I've used it twice now to help development of products come to market!
I’m glad I never gave them money, I forget when I discovered Sondors but it when around when media was covering their 3-wheeled car (or I guess auto cycle is what states legally refer them as). It was super weird (and tbh now, a bit sketchy) seeing them work on other stuff instead of pouring everything into their auto cycle, I never put a deposit I was just eager for production to start so the product can launch & I can buy - which I guess turned into the best decision cuz I avoided the headache of getting scammed. I still want someone to come out with an auto cycle like Model Sodors though, having a brand new off the shelf electric car for only $10K would be dope! I get it’s not for everyone, Americans love their SUVs but me personally screw the SUV if I could change citizenships now I would haha :P I’m half joking but srsly can we bring back small cars please, more bicycles, more walkable communities, maybe this is a sign I should just move to Europe lol.
The kickstarters and Indiegogo's are fine, if you have a product they allow. If you are inventing firearm technology, forget it. You have to take pre-orders, or you'll sell your company to creditors and investors, piece by piece, round by round of new investment. If you want to own your own idea, you have to take pre-orders for some products.
In Germany there was a similar looking electric bike, called "Novus". It should be sold for incredible 30.000€.
Of course also that project died immediately.
(Also Nico Rosberg was asked to investigate and he is smart enough not to do so.)
Will there be 15min quick charging next year ?
It was not a scam. They just went bankrupt, but they delivered a few bikes prior to bankruptcy, and they were a very good electric bicycle before that
They are back btw
I love mine! It is a great bike if you can get one.
Will Saunders has struggled since the very beginning they started on Kickstarter what's an electric e-bike and they took forever to deliver that bike they took so long that people actually thought they were getting ripped off but eventually long after the promise due date they finally started delivering their e-bike and since then we've actually come out with several models for their e-bike line kind of looks like they bid off a little more than they could chew with the motorcycle concept
I think Land District is as close to the SONDORS Metacycle in regards to style. But obviously not on price. I've got one, let me know if want to borrow for a day or a week for an honest review on your channel. I know you hate chain bikes for their annoying loud sound vs belts. But I think worth it for feeling that power on Land District. And I think it's a benefit for other drivers to hear you coming near them as a safety precaution... IMO
The Land District looks like something some dude built in his garage. At least the Metacycle looks like a proper production bike and actually made it to market.
@@necavenue Land District motorcycles are being sold NOW to market. And made out of Cleavland, OH. Whereas Sondoros Metacycle is DONE, and bankrupt and were manufactured some where in Asia as this video informed. So not sure what you're talking about.
@@j0se.artur0 It still looks like a kit bike that some dude cobbled together in his garage. Not to mention way overpriced at $12K..😂 For that kind of money I could get a FUELL Fllow or a real man's electric motorcycle like a LiveWire S2 Del Mar! Also direct drive on the Metacycle is better than chain...zero maintenance.
Sondors was a huge ebike company..and the early preorder people actually were the ones to get their bikes..it’s the later buyers that got screwed
Everyone got screwed. The people that received these bikes probably got screwed the most. Now they have a 6500 dollar product with no support behind it. Good luck with parts and repairs
@@cantfixasandwich4672 they paid 5000, or 4500 on the preorders..look at owner reviews, they like it. It’s the price of an electric dirt bike. And the design of it is unique so it’ll prolly end up as some collectors item
Never ever do pre-orders period.
Apple is dirty as well, but I different ways..
Better yet, get some tools in your hands and build your own and have a sense of pride for the bike, any twat with cash can buy,,
Ohhh I really wanted it 😢
Lyric huck onyx all under damn virus cycles
I don't think wasn't a deliberate scam. I think they honestly thought they could bring an electric motorcycle to the market and succeed.
Sorry, but gas is the way to go with motorcycles. Ebikes are great but not emotos.
good intentions won’t get peoples money back
@@NPLVentures Evidently Sonders was doing things on a shoestring. I give them credit for trying.
e-motorcycles are red herrings, Ditch the motorcycle styling and turn it into a maxi scooter like the PCX or Nmax and that's the ideal form for electric bikes with lots of storage space that doesn't get cooked by an anemic 125cc engine, it'll provide more than enough power with an electric motor above 6kw's.
@@NPLVenturestrue
@@chokeeweebee I agree, emotos are red herrings. I can tell you there's little interest in them from motorcyclists. Ebikers seem to be the ones interested in emotos. But, like a gas moto, emotos need a drivers license, registration, helmet, and protective clothing. Emotos are hugely disadvantaged by price, performance, and range.
You part of them as well

inb4 Break Away Bike
that bike was a huge POS. suprised anyone bought it
No it was solid for the price. The early adopters got their bikes and seemed happy..sondors was always known for delaying and slow shipping anyway
@@slimdunkin117 idk, the battery was small, the frame was ugly / bulky / heavy, the motor sucked. it was all around a rip off for the price
for 5k i could build my own bike with far better specs all around.
