In this video, we’ve brought together some of the Best Three-Wheeled Motorcycles money can buy in 2023, so subscribe while you still can, and without further ado, let’s get right into it!
00:00 - Intro
00:32 Rewaco Trikes
Despite their rather low profile in 2022, Germany-based Rawaco has recently embarked on an ambitious expansion into the American market introducing five premium models capable of carrying two to three riders on comfortable bucket seats. These three-wheeled motorcycles are constructed around a tubular frame and feature independent rear and springer-style front suspension.
01:51 Can-Am Spyder & Ryker
The 2023 lineup of Bombardier's Can-Am motorcycles consists of three unique models: the Ryker, the Spyder F3, and the Spyder RT. Known for their distinctive three-wheel design, dual front wheels, handlebar-type steering (except for the Ryker), and rear-wheel drive, these three-wheeled motorcycles are powered by two- or three-cylinder engines that offer either a six-speed semi-automatic transmission or a constant variable transmission with reverse.
03:13 DOFERN D1
While established manufacturers are still working on offering electric versions of their popular models, Chinese brands like Dofern are taking the opportunity to gain attention. The Dofern D1 features a 5 kW electric motor (equivalent to 6.8 hp) that drives the rear wheel through a belt and despite the seemingly limited power, the manufacturer claims a top speed of 100 km/h. This three-wheeled motorcycle features two 14" front wheels coupled with an automatic balance system for maximum stability and comfort in urban areas.
04:15 Wazuma V8M
The Wazuma V8M is a trike designed by the renowned French bike maker, Lazareth combining futuristic features, outstanding performance, and a unique character. As you can probably guess this super-charged trike is not just appealing in looks but also in functionality with its highlight being, a 4.7L, 460hp Italian V8 engine that produces 520 Nm of torque. This engine sets it apart from most three-wheeled motorcycles and ensures a powerful ride.
05:18 2023 Yamaha Niken GT
The Yamaha Niken is a three-wheel motorcycle that has garnered mixed opinions since its introduction. Some people love it, while others criticize it. However, it is undoubtedly one of the coolest-looking three-wheeled motorcycles out there. Initially unveiled to the public in 2017 the Niken featured a unique Leaning Multi Wheel front end, providing increased grip and stability. The updated model now boasts a new CP3 890cc engine, producing 113.3 bhp at 10,000 rpm and 66.9 lb.-ft. at 7,000 rpm.
06:35 Harley Davidson Trikes
Harley-Davidson has a rich heritage when it comes to three-wheelers, and the company’s 2023 lineup, namely the Freewheeler, Road Glide 3, and Tri Glide Ultra, continue to carry on the legacy. Inspired by the iconic 1932 Servi-, these three-wheeled motorcycles are powered by Harley's Milwaukee-Eight 114ci V-twin engine, which is mated to a six-speed gearbox, and the power is delivered to fat alloy rear wheels fitted with 215/45R-18 tires.
07:47 Roo Bicar 3.0
Initially started as a project by the Zurich University of Applied Sciences The BICAR is indeed an innovative three-wheeler electric vehicle. Equipped with solar panels on the roof and the front, it is one of the few vehicles in the world that can drive continuously using only solar power. It features a 2,000-watt in-wheel electric motor from GEM Motors in the rear wheel and has a limited top speed of 31 mph.
08:45 Kymco CV3
Introduced by Taiwanese two-wheeler manufacturer Kymco the CV3 features an aggressive bodywork design and offers practicality with a backrest for both the rider and pillion. Powering the Kymco CV3 is a 550.4cc parallel twin motor that produces an output of 51 horsepower and 51 Newton meters of torque. It is paired with a CVT gearbox and has a claimed top speed of 168 km/h. - Наука та технологія
These vehicles are really better than two wheelers. Because two wheelers gives us back pain
😂😂 very true!
yeah there great if you want to get stuck in traffic😂😂🤣🤣
@@marcusdrew5713 speaking of stuck in traffic, I don't have to put my feet down, practice my slow riding skills and keep my hands on the handlebars with the F3. I can maneuver it through traffic with ease, I have never split lanes with my two wheels because it is too dangerous with some of the road ragers out there who don't like motorcycles.
Not true at all. My 2022 Harley Ultra limited with rider's backrest and highway footpegs, is like driving an armchair down the road. My back isn't the best, but I have done 1000km days on mine, with no effect on my back at all at the end of the day.
If motorcycles give you back pain, you should just stay home on the internet and continue to TROLL!
I'm 74 and Ride a 2022 Goldwing Trike. I love it
Ridden over 50 years on two wheels, and transitioned to Can Am Spyder RT Limited a few years ago. Love it!
What you love about? I’m interested in one
@@JamoRox75 Incredible stability; smooth ride; semi-auto transmission; easy to ride for hundreds of miles; power through the entire cycle; and, the only thing missing is a handle for my wife's recliner (just kidding). We struggled to ride the GW given our age, health, and road pebbles at most turns in Florida. The RT-L provides us the ability to routinely ride for breakfast or lunch several times per week. Truly enjoyable. I thought we were retiring when we sought to sell our GW, but my wife saw this RT-L, and the rest is history.
@@blackhorsesixyou’re old so society gives you a pass on your 3 wheeler!😂 I won’t be giving up my motorcycle anytime soon
@@beri232 Too funny! Too true! Keep your wheels facing the ground.
@@beri232 Agreed! For some, its better to know their limitations by switch to a 3-wheeler equivalent of an ice-cream cart, in my opinion.
Had my Ryker for two years now. I love is 😁
Love my F3, I traded my VTX Honda in with over 68000 miles on it for the F3 Spyder. I don't have to put my feet down again except to get off of it. I also have a comfortable seat (VTX had a good seat too) It is sporty, fun and great on gas. Instead of stopping every 150 miles for gas, I get about 250 miles between fill ups.
You forgot to include the original articulated 3-wheeled scooter, the Piaggio MP3!!! They're awesome!
I have both the MP3-250 and the MP3-400.
The biggest negative is 3 tracks on the road instead of the 1 track a 2-wheeler requires. As a result, you hit more potholes!
Really nice to see so many trikes. I really love the concept.
Me too!
Love my F3S Spyder, I have 15,000 miles on it. It is my escape from a crazy World. 1-2 hours ride time can really change your perspective.
I am missing the Yamaha Tricity 300. It's also a good to buy bike with a lot of space under the seat. A topspeed of 130km/h and a range of around 340 km on one fuel tank of 13 liters. LED lighting, ABS and traction control. It has keyless starting and a manual operated electronic stand assist. Pricing is at 10.399 euro's ready to drive. ( Naturally i bought one ;-) )
Ive got a 23 Spyder RT Ltd…Love it!
Man, I'm jealous! The RT Ltd is like my dream ride! 😍
You do realize that to call something a THREE WHEELER means it should in fact have 3 wheels, that monster Italian thing clearly has FOUR! 2 in the front and 2 in the rear regardless of how close said wheels are in the back.
I see what you're saying, but the company itself advertised it as a trike, which is why I chose to include it. Thank you for your feedback! 💯
🤣😂facts
‘’Technically” it does only have three wheels however the rear one piece billet rim has two tyres and it has no differential that’s how they get away with registering it as a three wheeler.
Using that logic a rear wheel drive dualie would actually be a 4 wheel drive
@@mutha_fnmikey2325 A duelie the wheels are separate (two wheels) this is one wheel rim with two tires.
I have seen a 1907 Indian that had 2 wheels out front and 1 driven wheel out back. Harley built a few back in the 30s.
looks fun never been on one but im sure i will some day.
On the Yamaha Niken GT for the info provided - 1 Gallon is approx 3.8 liters so 5.8 liters is just over 1.5 gallons which could get 1000 kilometers which is about 621 mile. That means, with rounded off math, this cycle can get somewhere over 1600 miles on 4.75 gallons, basically 200 miles for every .5 gallons -if the initial video info on 5.8 liters for 1000km is correct - but it’s not. The mileage is 42.5 miles per gallon giving it a range under 200 miles.
Looks awesome
Thanks! Glad you think so too. These three-wheeled machines do have a certain cool factor to them, don't they?
The only one I liked was the Wazuma V8M, the Italian “monster”. Is innovative and powerful.
If you are a biker than there's nothing better than a bike, I ride bike's since 1982 had many, had my accidents, but still love them
Someone finally talking sense, 3 wheels are OK if you've had an accident and can't ride 2 wheels but there's no comparison. You can't overtake and they don't handle as well and you still get wet!
@@MrBulli69 I have passed a lot of cars on the highway on my F3, no problems. It is still a bike and they do handle well, you just have to learn how they handle. I wear rain gear when I ride in the rain, I have gone through two sets of rain gear over the years. My normal ride is about 1200 round trip.
@bikerkat01 I passed a lot of cars this morning, I can see a place for 3 wheelers but they aren't bikes and no matter what anyone says can't over take in the same way.
I'm sure I'm not the only one to say that the Wazuma has four wheels, not three, but it looks like a real hoot to ride.
I wish Can Am would make a limited production F3 with the 1,660cc four cylinder from the Sea Doos. 175+ hp would be awesome.
for the price they would have to charge you could by 3 H.D. Trikes.
@@tonyrowland9216 Oh yeah, they wouldn't be cheap. Considering the R&D and limited production, it'd be probably 50k or more. Would be a fun ride though!
"handlebar-type steering (except for the Ryker)" I've owned a Ryker and currently own an RT and the Ryker most definitely is steered by handle bars.
I removed that part from the audio but I guess it's still there in the subs 🧐 I'll correct it right away. Thank you for noticing.
Hi,
Can someone help me find trikes in Europe market (or Greece)? Also where to search for moderate prices? (as they cost as much as a car)
Trikes 😂❤️🙏
The Wazuma definitely changes things for me.
looking forward to buy a can am in the phillipines, for dirt roads there must be better to ride and traveling around looking for the rt, also interested in the harley trike,
Niken might be the smoothest front suspension bike I've ever tried. But, I still prefer two wheeled bike just because in my country, it's quite hard to get three wheeled motorcycle and the crazy situation on the road😂.
I hear you! It's all about riding what works best for your situation. Hopefully, the roads will open up for three-wheelers in your country soon! Until then, ride safe on two wheels! 😄🏍️
I like the look of the 2024 Spyder limited edition carbon. I notice there was no mention of the Italian Piaggio MP3 range of trikes, I've owned an MP3 500cc LT variant for four years now and I can't honestly recommend them. Service centres are somewhat limited in the south of England and it costs about £200 to replace the rear tyre every 1800 (recommended) miles, that's if you're not confident enough removing the exhaust baffle and half of the swing arm assembly yourself to change it. Also requires the entire front end fairing of the MP3 to be stripped down just to change the damned headlight bulb. My rule of thumb is, the more gadgets and electronics they put on modern bikes, the more there is to go wrong, typically in the pissing rain in the middle of nowhere and night. 🤔😉
Thanks for sharing your experience with the Piaggio MP3, @Zodliness. It's unfortunate to hear about the challenges you've faced, especially with service availability and maintenance costs. Your feedback highlights the importance of considering all aspects, including practicality and reliability, when choosing a vehicle. I appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and I'm sure it'll be valuable for others considering the MP3. If you have any tips or recommendations for maintenance or service centers, feel free to share! Thanks again for your input!
@@Techwowofficial The only tip I got, don't buy Piaggio MP3's! Period. 🤔😉
Trikes, combining the disadvantages of cars and motorcycles in one expensive package.
Not all the Niken is only a tad wider than a normal bike so its not losing anything over a standard Bike. The others are far to wide and so become kind of silly Spyders look nice but at that point might as well buy a convertible.
@@davidlister7590 agreed on the Niken , can still lane split in countries where it's allowed
The Rewaco is very cool looking but doesn't meet the basic requirements to fall into the motorcycle category this might cause it to be insured as a car rather than a bike. I still think it looks sick an would love to see these out on the roads here in the USA. The Wazuma is like a CanAm on steroids I love it. It might not be a 3 wheeler but you straddle the engine so it should fall under motorcycle insurance.
The only one I would consider riding, I can’t afford. The Wazuma.
No review of the Piaggio dual front wheel motorscooters? Exactly what I hoped for in your review. In my research Piaggio means trendsetter; innovation; and practicality all at a fair price.
the Piaggio MP3s are awesome! I've got 2 of them
@@cbftoole Lucky! Nearest sales and service to me is a couple hundred miles South in the Twin Cities. I'm still a wishin.
Personally I have fallen in love with the Yamaha tricity.. Piaggio have a similar one called MP3..but I don't have the money for one and can't take a loan at present time because of some personal circumstances..
0:18 they make you stand out for sure.
First off the Wazuma is not a trike as it has 2 rear wheels making it a 4 wheeler, they may be close together but it is really a quad. Both Rewaco and Harley are stuck in the 50s as far as design is concerned with both having some serious problems as practical machines. For such a large trike Rewacos have minimal storage unless you stick unsightly external boxes on them and why put the rider at almost the same height as car exhausts. I have a friend with one and his needs extra low down mirrors just so that he can see the rear wheels when reversing. Hopefully Harley have managed to fix their brake problem with their new trikes, The ABS was prone to lock up a brake at speed causing them to leave the road and there were reports of drivers being killed. Leaning trikes are a solution looking for a problem, if you want to lean in curves get 2 wheels. All of the extra complication of having 2 front wheels with a complicated suspension just gives more to go wrong. I do like trikes having been riding a Spyder RTL for 3 years now with 2 long European tours over 3000 miles. It is not perfect but I feel is the best of those mentioned here.
nece beautiful motorcycle
USED TOO ride a 3wheeler bicycle and would never ride a 3 wheel m/cycle. that is how i feel
I have a Spyder RT. So damn good.
I have a can am ryker
Love my 2023 Harley Tri-Glide, but wouldn't get caught dead on the rest of these things!
As dangerous as those Tri-Glides are, you probably will be found dead on that. But hey, you probably think you are still a Harley dude riding that tricycle. Lol 😅
@@TheRealEric__1 Have you every ridden on a tri-glide? You have no clue what they are like if you haven't., Oh, wait, you probably still think that the HD has no "Japanese" parts on it, look again, HD went global for parts back in the 1990's. Keep believing that hype they keep selling you.
@@TheRealEric__1 Dangerous? How in the heck do you figure that? Ever ride one? I'd bet Not!. And Ha!, your just jealous, And wished you could afford one loser!. Lol!
3 wheelers are for Granpa's/ma's. The lone exception might be the Rikken cause it drives like a 2 wheeler mostly.
Its mostly about safety and visibilty.
So the first bike anyone rode was two wheels or three? Did your first two wheeled bike have training wheels?
This Lazareth is mine !!!!!!
Trikes force riders to lean out of curve instead of into the turns like a bike. Three wheelers hit all the pot holes in the road and dead animals too. You miss something with a bikes front tire you dont hit it at all. Easier to avoid a collision with a narrow bike than a wide trike.
My F3 is great in the curves, I have adapted to its steering and you can miss some pot holes and dead animals if you remember where the wheels are in relation to each other. My trike is seen by more motorists now, since it is much bigger. I loved my VTX and all of the 68000 miles I had on it but it was time to change to a more stable bike with reverse.
Not true at all if you know how to manuever your trike.
Unless I'm missing both legs, and can't use artificial ones...I ain't riding a three wheel kid-cycle!
Yeah, I test rode one at the Americade Motorcycle rally at Lake George, NY in 2014; then rode a friend's CanAm from her storage to her house for her, and back this summer...totally sucks compared to 2-wheels!
And, what a stupid shifter too!
And, I replaced her Spyders rear wheel, with a car tire, better quality, but what a pain in the butt to set the drive belt tension, and drive belt alignment, so car tire's seem to last x3 longer, than OEM, LESS times doing that PAIN IN THE ASS job too!
Like John Payne said, " Give me two wheels, or give me death" (Thomas' older brother, where do you think Thomas plagerized that from).😅
Three wheels , rather have an open top sport car. The worst thing about three wheels is you hit even more pot holes, or the oily bits in the middle of the road
Sii me gustó tu caminar feliz más feliz ok
The wazume isn’t a trike, it’s got separate rear wheels making it a quad.
Which one has the best price point?
there is nothing entry level about a 900 Ryker rally in full rally mode, trust me on that
I test rode one in Lake George, NY a couple of years ago, it was great. The only thing I didn't like was how to put it into reverse. I hope the engineers went back to redesign it for shorter riders.
Try to straddle a board on the highway good luck with that
Niken and CV3 would be my choice, other ones looks way too bulky for a "motorcycle"
There's no way a 3 wheel is'better" but they are most likley safer...
3 wheels, all the drawbacks of cars and bikes combined 👍
Didnt mention the throught bred stallion
Si ti grande 4
As a handicap man, I want the one built by Tilting Motor Works, which isn't in this video.
TMW sure have their unique style don't they? Although not in this video I talk about them in the second part of this video. Feel free to check it out for more exciting options!
@@Techwowofficial Oh, I missed it
sadly the yamaha niken gt cant be driven on ur nomal car license unless they have changed something the wheels are not spaced enough atleast for swedens rules
Any sales agent in Malaysia, for all this motorbike!
For people who can’t ride bikes you got trikes.
They are all the same when you get hit by a car
Training wheels... Yea!!
👍👍
Harley Davidson cool bike for me
Point of order. The Wazuma has four wheels not three, so technically its a quad not a trike.
❤ جيد جدآ❤❤
Very good reading of the brochures. But have you actually ridden any? You come across as a desk rider parroting a page of stats. And by the way. You can’t call something with 4 wheels a 3 wheeler..
Neowing by honda?
Me gustó sí saber mayor ti 4 vida ok está bien tus ustedes gustó siii ellos
Oh, look. Was that a high speed riding mower?
Just a way to look at the problem.... if you not able to ride two-wheeler , get a car and hardly any one will judge you for that.... but no need for disable person to ride two-wheeler ,to ride it...
2 WHEELS IN THE FRONT WILL TIP COMPARED TO THOSE IN THE BACK SO MORE DANGEROUS !!
It's true that the wheel configuration can affect stability. While I believe that each design has its own set of advantages and considerations. It's always important to prioritize safety when choosing a vehicle. Thanks for raising this point!"
Best trikes are by Gordon. From Japan.
6:12 5.8ltrs for 1000Kms? That's amaaaaazing fuel economy. Where did you get your figures from?
Not a motorcycle, not a car, with none of the advantages of either. But each to their own.
the frist one is just a sling shot with out the side panels.
The slingshot sets two side by side and on the cam am the passenger is in back like a bike. I rented a slingshot in Vegas for a few days it was fun to drive. There’s a company that makes a rear axle kit to give it 4 wheels like a car That would be more appealing to me if I was gonna buy one.
I'd rather get a slingshot if it's a three wheeler
Rear wheel trikes are inherently unstable. Front wheel trikes make a lot of sense and are much safe in corners and tight turns.
When I was a child my bike had training wheels, real men ride motorcycles.
you poor thing, keep thinking that.
We both feel the same wind and we both take the same risk. Make it make sense.
Sometimes real men get paralyzed from the chest down riding motorcycles, so they look for 3 wheel alternatives to continue the feel of the road.
Non of the advantage of the motorcycle, but all the disadvantages of the car, stuck in traffic, but sat in the rain going nowhere 😮
Tu imperar bonita me gustó sii todos cosa ok está okk está bien tus
When I get money I go buy a spider
How can the Wazuma be a trike ?
Its 4 wheels for goodness sakes not 3.
That makes it a Quad not a Trike
Si perri silla como está okk está bien tus bonita ok
0:07, 0:12 what is the name and brand of motorcycle?
0:07 is CanAm and 0:12 is Kymco
You missed the point. A two wheel simply means freedom. Freedom to filter among the chaos and leave every body behind. In a three wheeled, you will just be part of the chaos left behind.
Hate to say it, but, 3-wheelers are for .... I got nothing good to say... just as if riding a bicycle vs. riding an 3-wheeled ice-cream cart 🤣🤣🤣
6:15 in 5,8L at 1000KM ????? Maybe its at 100KM?
No goldwing trike?😊
They don't really make one. Those are aftermarket kits. I might get a kit for my 96 if they are available. It'd be a lot cheaper and I already know the reliability of the GW.
Where is the Piaggio Mp3....🤔
Gotta save some for part 2 😂😂
yea ... whats better than a zundapp with sidecar ... 3 ruedas
238000 🧐
The t rex is best 3 wheeler
Why dont you turn the back wheel instead on a motorcycle
The Ryker 900 really does not have enough power for anything except city driving and it is not really built to handle 2 people.
It has enough power for the hwy
Three wheel & motorcycle in the same sentence? Hmm - don’t mix semantics!
The price 💀💀💀
Where's the Honda Goldwing Trike?
It's not a true trike. a add on only.
Harley and goldwing trikes are ridiculously expensive !!!
I fail to see howthat'snetter than a bike. It is heavier, harder to manequver in reverse. it doesn't have the sensation of leaning in the curves and ot is pretty bad in traffic due to its footprint.
Not saying trikes are bad, just not better than bikes.
No three wheeled “motorcycle” is better than an actual 2 wheeled motorcycle.
Who cares. Its all about enjoying the ride. We both feel the same wind on the open road🤷
Motor tricycle
Try filtering through traffic on a trike.
Thats how most riders wind up dead. We dont wanna die. We just want to ride😂
I watched the whole video, survey says: - everyone of these 3-wheels contraptions is ugly!😅
