Boxing is one of the most versatile workouts you can do. Not only does it combine cardio and strength to get you absolutely shredded, but it also involves hand-eye coordination, speed work, and of course, is a test of toughness and grit.
This heavy bag workout is perfect for teaching you to move with footwork, where and how to land punches on the bag while building fitness and stamina while calming you post-workout.
This 6 x 3:00 heavy bag workout has coaching tips and multiple styles of boxing, and each time you do this workout, you’ll learn a new combo and pick up a new lesson.

Heavy Bags and Punching bags may refer to slightly different things, but they are similar. A heavy bag is typically a 50-150-pound cylindrical bag that hangs from the ceiling and is used for punching, kicking, and practicing boxing moves. A punching bag is a broader term that can encompass heavy bags and free-standing weighted punching bags. Both provide resistance when you strike them in proportion to their weight and construction.

There's no right or wrong answer for how long to punch a bag. For beginners, a punching bag workout typically has you working in bag strikes with general strength training, such as push-ups or sit-ups. All in all, hitting a punching bag anywhere from 20-30 minutes a day can provide some benefits.

This kids definitely got talent, making automatic space with his jabs, working around the bag, getting in getting out. Everything just flows perfectly. All I gotta say is this is how you should be training on the bag. Great video Nate, and would definitely like to see more training with this kid.
