The guy who designed this is a former Volkswagen group designer, poached by BYD. They took a page out of Hyundai/Kia by hiring European designers. That should explain it why this looks like a Lamborghini and the Sealion 6 looks like a Porsche Cayenne. Both Volkswagen Group products.

There are a lot of new nice models, but for a price that is almost a Toyota, Mitsubishi or even Honda.. I am highly hesitant in sinking my hard earned money for a car that I would have difficulty finding spare parts for.

Saka yung official BYD distributor ang charging port is type2 ccs2. dyan sa moretti is GBT china port. ang mga shell station na may ev charging is type 2 CCS2. bawal gumamit ng converter for safety reasons. yan policy ng public charging stations. Sa malls lang ata pwede gumamit ng GBT to type 2 adaptor/converter.

I think that it is a mistake considering a tiny car with a 900k price tag as most people associate a tiny car with a tiny price and near lowest of the car market are more price sensitive. This is more than 300k pesos more than automatic Wigo. I think the price premium of the Seagull should max at 150k above the Wigo.
Can you please add to your review if the range (e. g. 300 km) is for 1 person only or what happen if you have 4 to 5 passenger. Also, if the aircon is needed to shut off or not.
good looking car, but how long the battery last and its cost to be renewed? bet it might just be the same as amount of the gasoline you save plus the electricity bill used to charge it during your ownership.

I must say the Sealion 6 having an ICE+ Battery+EV motor that has high performance and all other features + Size is very Affordable @1.55M. This Seagull is priced just around 600K in China. Still competitive I must say vs legacy brands overpricing WIGO to over 700K.

BYD is a private company. It even has American investors. And they already have offices in the US and Canada. They're also selling in Japan and South Korea. That means a lot.

It's 15cm. While city hatchback is only 13 cm. And if you use high profile tires with 60, it is even higher and more comfy
120mm also according to Top Gear Philippines and other websites. But other websites say 150mm. Baka dipende sa variant.
