Constipation is a part of Pregnancy. It is a known character of pregnancy. So many times when we are seeing the patients and in early pregnancy, one of the signs I ask is “ is she having constipation because it is an early sign of pregnancy the reason for this is there is a pregnancy protecting hormone. This progesterone is the cause for constipation in females who are pregnant. Progesterone causes slowing of the smooth muscles of the body. One of the things is there is slow motion of the things passing out of the intestine.

Hello ma'am i am 3 month pregnant and I have low lying placenta... Dr. Says me complete bed rest ...and give some medicine like progesterone ..but I have constipation problem 4-5 days but not stool pass ...then what I do ....this is harmful for baby or mother ...
