So validating to hear you talk about the "80% plan." Sometimes I forget to give myself grace in the midst of trying to do some many things to support my fertility. But really, when I pause and think about it, I'm doing 80% most of the time. Thank you for that reminder.
You are such a sweet person. I love listening to your videos. It's like listening to a family member giving you loving advice. Thank you so much! God bless you :)
Thank you so much! I really appreciate your kind words ❤️
Hello doctor I'm new to your channel. Thank you for addressing this crucial topic. ❤
Thanks Dr! Very helpful
Thank you so much for watching ❤❤
I am 42 and had a miscarriage last week at 9wks and 6 days. I didn’t even know pregnancy was still possible for me given my age and the fact that IUD’s were my preferred method of birth control since my fraternal twins 15yrs ago. The loss is incalculable and yet…as soon as I’m cleared by my Ob I intend to start TTC.
I’m already taking Coq-10, Vitamin D, Vitamin C/Zinc combination, omega 3 fatty acids , folic acid & b12.
If you have any advice on what else (if anything) I should be taking please let me know. If not, continue making these wonderful videos as they give hope to women like me. I pray that all those who desire it are blessed with bright futures full of family growth.
Keep up the great work.
I am so sorry for your loss🫂 I appreciate you for watching, thank you ❤I'd advise you to ask your medical provider for answers to your personal situation, as I can't give personal medical advice on social media. I hope my content on my website drlorashahine.com can help
Thank you Dr Shahine….I appreciate it -your condolences. I also understand your reluctance to giving medical advice via social media as I’m sure I’d be in the same mind frame if the roles were reversed. I’m sure I’ll get a lot out of your website as I continue to get much from your content here on UA-cam. Keep up the good work. It matters.
Especially for women like myself.

I am almost 37. We are getting a good number of eggs per cycle (15 plus) and decent fertilization rates, but poor blast rates. It’s so frustrating and disappointing. This was a really helpful explanation
Thank you so much for watching, I'm so glad it was helpful. I'm wishing you all the success on your fertility journey 🫂❤❤
What is blast rate?
@@freespeech.7254blastocyst, a cycle of the egg after conception
@@freespeech.7254: blast rate: refers to the rate at which her fertilized eggs, actually make it to the blastocyst stage to allow for a frozen embryo transplant after an IVF egg retrieval has occured.
After pgt test they said all 5 embryos were genetically abnormal. But these tests are not 100% correct and I am sure they make mistakes. Yet, they always first thing they say is the egg quality .
Hello doctor, am 38 yrs, i have 1 son, i got pregnant after 11 years 3times consecutive , but i do miscarriage every time i got pregnant. It was 7 or 8weeks. I have done my hormone test n my doctor tell me test is ok. Can u suggest me something.
What is a good dose of CoQ10? How many mg (45 years old)
Most studies 200mg per day (some people take up to 600mg daily but more not always better and some side effects headaches, GI upset). Be sure to review with your provider❤️
Hello Doc. I’m 42 and had an ovarian reserve test and the count was 0.004. Is it possible to boost my egg count? Please help
Honestly, no. The AMH level is a reflection of the number of eggs that are up for grabs if someone were to do ovarian stimulation for an egg retrieval not a way to change the AMH level. But as long as someone is ovulating and has eggs there’s always a chance of conception.
Ap stemcell karwa lo dear
If you do IVF and collecting multiple eggs a month, does it mean you are going to run out of eggs early? So your menopause comes earlier as well?
No, you release the same amount of eggs regardless of IVF. Normally, you generate a handful of eggs every month, BUT you have one FOLLICLE mature resulting in one egg being released during ovulation. During IVF, you’re taking hormones that allow MULTIPLE follicles to mature rather than just the one. Then they go in and are able to get multiple eggs instead of the one. Hope this helps.
@@k-macky1933 Thank you so much
I highly recommend watching more of Dr. Shahine’s other videos & also Dr.Aimee (the Egg Whisperer on you tube); you gain a ton of knowledge about ivf & what it entails. A whole of good educational information.
No and No. Women lose eggs every month regardless of stage of life (until menopause) and IVF is a process to stimulate and recruit multiple eggs (that would be lost that cycle anyway). Thank you so much for watching ❤️
@@drlorashahine Thank you so much!

I’m a flight attendant, the company allows us to drink and take the water bottles for work and our layovers, should I stop drinking the water from work?
I also get those five gallon bottles of water for home use…
Should I start drinking tap water?
Not too sure about the regulation in your job but would it be possible to bring your own BPA-free bottles/tumblers in flight?

Don't drink tap water. It's disgusting, there's chemicals that's being allowed into the water. Buy a filter for your sinks and showers or buy a reverse osmosis tank.
Maybe ditch the at home bottled water and invest that money in a good water filter fitted to your main tap you use for drinking water.
Hi mam. I have low amh (.6). My doctor said that only ivf can help me. But iam totally disappointed because of my egg quality issue. Can i get pregnancy in this amh value.

Stress and inflammation are the # 1 cause. Age is a number and i have seen many women in their 30s who don’t get pregnant and women in their 40s do naturally. So your statement is an old belief. According to a new study the ivf outcomes were not age related at all. The quality is not age related because for a simple reason that if it was it could not be improved since you can’t reverse your aging.
I still think it is age related but not as linear as has been previously thought. If that wasn't the case we would continue to be able to get pregnant until our 70s and 80s like men can reproduce. Inflammation makes everything harder that is true. It's why women in their 20s with horrible diets, smoking and not getting good sleep etc can get pregnant at the drop of a hat and why women in their 40s sleeping well, eating well, exercising, taking supplements etc can't get pregnant to save their life. That inflamatory lifestyle plus aging catches up with us and youth can no longer compensate for inflammation.
Thank you for sharing this with us and thank you for watching ❤️

Go to the doctor right away. UA-cam will not help you with what looks to be a serious infection of some sort.
By the way she is 39 she'll be 40 on october
