Excellent video! Helped me get my talking switches set up and Throttle cut. Throttle Cut was not working right and I figured out the second Insert needs to have the same switch added, which you skipped over in the video. Without adding it, a portion of the throttle cut is always enabled.
@@ethancaswell7070 one more: what if I don’t want it to go to zero? I know I don’t want throttle less than like 40%, ever, how would I change the parameters to just be 40-100?
@@thefilmjerk901 so I used the same parameters as him and it only ever cuts mine as low as 50%. Wish I knew which set of parameters changed this range lol, but a range of 50%-100% works fine for me. If yours is going down to 0% throttle, double check you use the same numbers as he did. You can check what range your throttle cut is using by paging over on the main Home Screen (at least for me on a Radiomaster Zorro) and moving your throttle up and down while cutting at different levels
Excellent video. I'm an FPV newbie and I just received a new 4 in1 Zorro with an external ELRS 2.4GH module. Currently jumping into FPV world and building my first FPV drone from scratch. Was into helis before and now I fly a DJI Mavis Pro Platinum. Bought the radio first to put some hours in on the simulator. I was a little confused about accessing the rear module and setups but thanks to you I think I'll be good to go.
I got tripped up by your explanation at 10:37 saying to "press" when in fact it was actually a "long press" to get the menu up to insert after. This may not seem like a big deal to some. But as a complete newbie working through this the first time, I spent probably about an hour trying to figure this one small detail out. Other than this one small detail. Thank you very much for the video! I really appreciate you taking the time to post this. I did find it very helpful.
My Zorro managed to lose its config and I had to search and stumbled on this video a second time. A year later, and a little bit wiser, the long press didn't trip me up and this video was super helpful to get my controller back to "normal" :)
So question.. I got a new heli (OmpHobby M1evo) and this Radiomaster Zorro and I can't seem to figure out how to set aux switches. What I mean is, if we're talking FPV drones, we use Betaflight and under the "modes" tab, we can customize which "AUX" switch is say "arm-disarm" is and flight modes like "stability-acro." M1evo's Flight Controller can't connect to Betaflight, so how?? For example, i renamed channel 5 under the "mixes" tab to "hold," which doesn't really do much, because that's not telling the Heli's Flight controller that I want that channel to be Throttle Hold, or Idle UP, or whatever I want it to be.. Anyone know? ?
Hey thanks Half Chrome, I really found your throttle cut way really awesome, I never knew it was that easy to adjust, I’m going to setup all my radio’s like you suggested.
I’m finding out I’m a Mode 1 flier. You do straight up vidz.. Can you help with different mode fliers and how to adjust gimbals to my mode is 1 but to ALL? Also if needed to plug in to change settings via USB ?
Excellent instructions.. I just learned something this morning -JB LOL. It’s 6:56 a.m so when I can turn my lady on, without waking up house! Thank you! 🙏🏻 😊
A bought the Radiomaster Zorro and initially I was having g trouble binding. Then once I got several of my drones binded, I realized that the sticks and other functions were backwards (inverted). Even in the simulator the sticks are all out of sink. Can you help?
It’s a decent video but I wish you were telling us what page you were on because I’m new to the radio master Zorro , and I would like to know what page you’re on when you’re making your settings so we can tell where you’re at in the screen because we can’t see what you’re showing us we can hear you saying what you’re doing but I can’t see what pager your on an what functions you’re clicking on because the screen is not clear enough,
Great stuff thank you dude! Just you saying it comes with scripts already on the sd... just helped me to actually understand😂 And the naming of the quad as just the receivers.... Simply a great idea🫡
Arm switch and throttle dial on the same side? I move those dials alot without noticing, and wondered how this worked out for you... Also I have my arm and pre arm on the left, and turtle mode on the right (where you have ARM). Why does the arm switch need to be on the right for ELRS?
Great video.. thank you... Is it possible to set one of the momentary buttons (or another one) to use RX_SET in Betaflight so that when you press it the built in beeper sounds on the quad... for when I lose it :)
@@HalfChrome I am new to FPV just built my first one. I saw it when looking at BetaFlight and thought that was the way to go.. but open to better advice.. is that just configured on the Zorro?
After updating EdgeTX firmware on my Zorro, my throttle range went from 0 -> 100 to -100 -> 100. Does anybody know how I can change it back? I want to fly planes. Thanks!
Now I am totally confused... Can't you set all these different modes in Betaflight instead? Does this mean you set modes (e.g. arm, acro, etc) in either the zorro OR the the drone/betaflight? Is there an advantage to one over the other (although I have been using betaflight and prefer my computer to the zorrow buttons & scroll)?
Can you make the modes and the switch changes on the radio master Zorro in beta flight instead of doing it on the controller itself like other controllers too?
I just got a radiomaster zorro 4in1 with TBS crossfire nano external module. I just bought the geprc rocket plus tbs crossfire edition as well. I updated the external module, then paired it with reciever on drone. Flashing blue light (means update now going to drone module) then now solid green on drone and remote. I know remote is paired because it says telemetry lost if drone is powered off. Now, I have solid green lights on both drone and remote external module. Both are paired. But when trying to get stick feedback on betaflight or receiver feedback at all, nothing. I move drone around with my hand on 3D model betaflight first page, drone moves. But nothing on reciever tab. I tried serial uart, crsf module. I tried disabling abc filter on zorro remote settings (tells you to do that on betaflight settings). I need help please. Its got to be something in betaflight is wrong settings wise. I looked up youtube videos for days. Can never find a tbs crossfire setup on zorro, only elrs. Thank you in advance!

This is the most standard way you configure any opentx/edgetx controller. What is so "particular" / "special" about your config again?
Nothing special here. Just a tutorial. Is a throttle cut really the “most standard”?
