  • This is how much I won C6 Corvette Grand Sport for at salvage auction, and how much I've spent on all the parts I've purchased for rebuild. I think it's gonna be super cheap for a like new C6 Corvette! Also an update on the Pizza Car!

I am a "backyard" wrench myself, so I know first hand that this process takes time. Keep up the clear-eyed portrayal of these type of projects. Nothing good comes from half-assed repairs. Your approach of sensible costs and realistic repairs is a fresh breath of air for the auto based net.

I can't understand why there isn't more business in this. I have a honda accord 2001, with a rebuilt title, works freakin beautiful. Cost like 10k when I got it like 10-12 years ago. Salvage vehicles, if rebuilt correctly, can last as long if not longer than if you bought it new. Please keep doing this, please keep showing people how to do this. I'd gladly buy from you if I could.

Really interesting video and am impressed that someone would take a job like this on. I have a 2008 C6 with the Z51 package, so similar to the Grand Sport except for the wide body and dry sump. I have a pair of new headlight lenses I will put on in Spring when the car is out of storage as the left lens on the car is crazed, a common problem with C6s. The new lenses were around $400 but are DOT-certified. When you are done with the Grand Sport it will be a terrific car.

If u haven’t heard of them, they are called Contemporary Corvette in Bristol PA, they ship parts too. Maybe they can help u out if u ever need parts. I don’t work for them or have any affiliation with them other than I’m just a customer. I just like to help people out and save them money when possible.

i bought 2 corvettes from iaai and both had the headlights when i went to go pick them up they were gone.. this was back in 2000 and they were mid 90's with the flip up headlights after that I always stayed with the car i bought, I preferred to buy cars from a place here called moneymakers (they are now gone) ya its not a action but I got some really good deals and sometimes he would throw in a parts car he called them 2 for the price of one. these were always cheaper cars like a spitfires, If your going to be flipping cars I found stay with one type of car and keep the extra parts :).
