Thank you! I've been trying to create fluid art since setting your instagram pictures. This is very helpful!!

Thank you for showing this process! I’ve been admiring your manis with this “fluid art”, but I didn’t know it had a name! I didn’t hear you say what the polish was that you applied to your nail prior to applying the fluid art, was it base coat? I would definitely like to give this a try, although I wonder how you know where to apply the polishes on the plastic to achieve the look you want….perhaps trial and error? 😉 Also, can you do this process with gel polish….having to wait 24hrs. (dry time) would kill me! We want everything right now!! 😂😂 However, I guess you could make a few of them and have them ready for when you want to do your mani.
Anyway, thanks again for showing the process and all the looks you create are absolutely Stunning, as usual! 🥰

It’s definitely a trial and error process. The more polish you have the better to make it flow. What I showed you here is my favorite technique to get that marbled look like a resin tray. That’s what I try to achieve every time.
A base cost is what I used before applying the decal. Sometimes I like to use one of the lighter colors in the decal as my base and then apply the decal on a slightly tacky layer of polish. The benefit of that is if you’re missing a spot in the decal or have a tear then it’s not noticeable if you have a light base color underneath to mask it.

    Edit:
I looked in the Description Box and it said “Long lasting base” by Holo Taco. It’s the only thing I didn’t hear you mention, so I’m assuming that’s what you applied to your nail before applying the decal? Oh, the #fluidfridayfriends…. do I just enter that on IG and they have this contest every Friday and display the colors you can use on Monday? Sorry for all the questions. 😉

Not a problem! Yes, the holo taco is that blue liquid that I used to apply on my nails before applying the decal. It dries within 5- 7 seconds so move quick. If you need more time, use the sticky base coat by maniology. That will buy you 15 seconds or so. fluid Friday friends isn’t a contest it’s just some thing that I do weekly for practice and fun. @emsnailart posts on her story and there’s also a highlight bubble every Monday to post on Friday with other fluid art enthusiasts
