    Hi Lissa
Just found you by watching your interview with Gillian, which was fantastic !
I’ve had severe candida for 15 years and heard you had the same ?!
I’m just starting a 40 day juice, fast on first of April to get rid of the mucoid plaque.
I’m going to have to eat mainly vegetable juice because with Candida I can’t take much fruit.
After that, I’m committing to raw vegan for one year minimum to restore my gut health.
Do you think I’ll be able to eat fruits after my 40 day cleanse and any advice please?
    Love and light, Adrian

So happy you found me! I hope you enjoy my content, it’s a little different than most raw vegans so keep that in mind! I never did, and would never do a fast or juice fast for candida (or really any reason) personally. I don’t believe in the mucous plaque theory so it’s not something I would suggest or recommend. Candida is gut dysbiosis. It’s an imbalance of good bacteria to yeast. The way to grow your own army is with whole variety in my opinion. That’s what I did and I wish I had just done whole food sooner. Whole as in not juiced. The fiber is a big part of healing the gut. 15 years with candida and it was that for me that healed it - and it took time to grow but my gut fought off the yeast for me. And I ate fruit while I healed it. Dates, bananas, etc I ate it. I ate mushrooms and nutritional yeast too. I did countless “sugar free anti candida” diets in the 15 years I had it with herbs and stuff but I never actually ate fiber variety. I didn’t need to do anything but eat abundant variety and trust 🩷🩷

I was just wondering by increasing your fiber intake which is a good thing that's what I'm doing. Do you not need to consume more water/ juices because doesn't the fiber pull water from the body it's a good thing but I mean the fibers a good thing but doesn't fiber pull water moisture from your body just like if you would take psyllium product it tells you to drink more water it's just a question I have I was hoping somebody could answer. I know I was dehydrated and didn't even know it. By measuring my water/juice intake everyday has improved my health alot

Yes it’s recommended to have a little more water when using psyllium but increasing fiber overall, no. Fiber comes with water in whole food form. I drink about 2-3L water a day regardless. I personally don’t do much for juices (too low fiber for the amount of sugar) but that can be a form of hydration. Really it’s just psyllium husk and dried foods that need bonus water in general, because they absorb water.

You think celery juice is high in sugar? I don't think so but maybe you have some more info on that than do.
