- "When my friend brought up Invincible a month back, and told me that I should give it a shot, I was skeptical. I had no knowledge of the character outside of a quick clip or two that I saw on UA-cam. And the last thing I wanted was to be disappointed by yet another superhero show. But I pushed past my skepticism and gave the show a shot. It’s safe to say that after only seeing the first episode I was hooked."

Did anyone else notice that Debbie and Nolan’s scenes were a mirror of each other (Nolan going through space and Debbie walking through the town)
That’s really cool! I didn’t realize that!
Mark had one too at the beginning of the season when he’s flying through town helping people when he should be resting
@@superammo8525 also how Debbie almost jumps off the bridge and Nolan nearly goes into the black hole. And how Debbie, Mark and Nolan all have black eyes at the end of season 2
Invincible was hitting this season..1 hour episodes were..perfect

@@elver2218 that's not the reason they said we got the break. And even if it was, they should've just waited until the season was actually finished. People have been complaining about how sub par the animation was too, and they had years to do all this.

The fact that during the end of the finale, Nolan had the same black eye like Debbie and Mark is amazing detail. Shows how the three are still connected (family wise) in some way.
I thought the puffy eye thing was kind of goofy looking and distracting I get what they were going for but still

Technically Nolan Grayson was declared dead and therefore him and Debbie are not married anymore and adultery was not committed.
Technically speaking, neither of them was dead, and neither filed for a formal divorce. Fortunately, Debbie was still wiling to take care of little Oliver despite his unusual conception.
5:08 dude you just described domestic abuse. This is the exact same feeling the millions of domestic abuse victims feel every single day. Many partners who abuse their partner do not face serious legal consequences and if they do, then they are far more likely to get parole. Abusive partners are far more likely to abuse another partner again. In truth, this scene is great because it demonstrates a type of partner abuse not talked about; mental abuse. Nolan mentally abused Debbie by lying to her and Debbie knows that Nolan can seriously kill her after watching what he did in Chicago.

It would be a complete shame If they don't go all out. Marks fight with Nolan pales In comparison to his fight with Conquest which Is only mere minutes after the Invincible War, which the majority of S3 will be centered around.

I love how you mentioned the renewed faith. I personally don’t think it’s superhero fatigue on the fans' part, I think it’s superhero fatigue on the creatives' part. As someone who’s both a creative and a fan, it’s clear that creatives think they can just make superhero movies and just make a ton of money. But they literally can’t. What made the MCU so much money was the buildup with the good storytelling. Invincible cares more about improving on an already amazing comic, making things exciting again for people who have read the comics, or people who are going in completely blind. I personally think S1 is still the best content of all Invincible, and it’s the perfect story superhero fans need right now.
Oh, yeah… and as someone who’s finished the comics, I think Eve is the best character… by far. And the show is taking her to a better level than the comics did. Same thing with Debbie.
I hope Eve is way more important in S3. She took an understandable backseat in S2, but she easily deserves to be the primary protagonist in certain episodes.

@@superammo8525 This video also reminds me why I like Invincible a LOT more than The Boys. The Boys is great, especially for its political and media commentary. But it mostly does things to be provocative and edgy. I feel it loses a lot of the realism in being overly pessimistic. Invincible balances hope, dread, consequences, and emotions in a much more realistic way, and I appreciate the care put into what I think is superior storytelling.
If you think about it, The Boys is just the same thing every season. The main characters try and stop Vaught/Homelander, crazy and flashy stuff happens that doesn’t really change anything, and at the end, they come to a stalemate and none of the main protagonists die.
Robert Kirkman (lead Invincible creator) loves superheroes, and Garth Ennis (lead The Boys creator) hates superheroes.
@@dymoure I’ve only watched the first few episodes of The Boy’s and that’s exactly why I stopped. It seemed to be edgy for edgy’s sake instead of trying to tell a compelling story.
@@superammo8525 You should make a video about why you prefer Invincible! Too many people see The Boys as vastly superior, but it’s really just grittier and live-action. That’s it. The storytelling is WAY better in Invincible. The characters are more clearly defined. You remember Homelander because he’s the one who does the craziest things, but I remember characters and relationships way more in Invincible. Despite being gory and more realistic compared to other superhero properties, it also has a feel-good aspect that genuinely makes me like it more. Life isn’t all just political corruption, assault, and a jaded view of the world. Invincible presents that, but it remembers to give us hope, which is part of being realistic. An ideology without at least some hope is just pessimism. You don’t have to be an optimist to have hope. I'd say (for the most-part) that Marvel and DC are the optimistic lenses of superhero ideology, Invincible is realistic, and The Boys is pessimistic. The Boys comics are also very boring because it just becomes provocative just for the sake of being provocative, and the show is finally starting to fall into that rabbit-hole too. Alright, that’s the end of my spiel for the day on why I like Invincible so much. 😂 But to be fair, you started it with the video!
I’d disagree and say the creatives aren’t the ones thinking they can just make money off the tired superhero content formula but rather execs and studios chasing the financial success of the genre’s hold in the industry. When the production behind a project is led by people who care enough to let everyone contribute to a singular vision you’ll get the best out of everyone involved.
