I think 2024 could be similar to 2023. I’m hyped for Deadpool and Wolverine and Joker 2. I’m hoping Deadpool and Wolverine will be like Guardians 3 where it’s a diamond in the rough compared to the recent MCU AKA Good Fan Reception/Positive WOM and a healthy box office.

Dude you're getting a new planet of the apes movie, another mad max from George Miller, an alien movie that might be good and Coppola's Megalopolis (not to mention tv shows, house of the dragon and the boys looking sweet). You get all that but focus on crappy superhero shlock
You bring up some good points. I forgot about some of these like the boys and planet of the apes. Some of these though I haven’t seen their predecessors. I stopped watching the Alien movies, I have not seen house of dragon, and I have never heard of Megalopolis. I get that a lot of movies I focused on were superhero ones but as a person who is trying to move away from these sorts of movies I had a hard time finding actually good ones that don’t rely on superheroes. These are just the movies I saw when I looked into this year. I appreciate you bringing this up now I have more things to look forward to
Yo you need to watch the flashpoint paradox, it’s the perfect flash story and one of the best animated movie imo. I couldn’t put into words my disappointment

Late Night with the Devil, a horror movie with the same actor who played Polka dot man from The Suicide Squad. He plays the lead in a talk host show and apparently supernatural things happen and all it’s all spooky and with gorgeous characters and dialogue. It’s one of the best horrors films I’ve seen all year
Just watched the trailer and I’m loving its direction and style. Great suggestion I’ll check it out!

You know I like the first two just fine and all but for me personally I don’t end up rewatching them. I kind of just watch them once and forget about them. Also the knuckles show was kind of meh to me. But best believe I will go see it they are still fun movies

Scream 5 and 6 sucks I don't know what you all see in these movies. Ghostface acts like he's in dead by daylight looping around the table like there's an invisible wall there. oh so too scared to kill off characters that haven't even been in the first four scream movies and by far the least scariest Ghostfaces of all the movies.

Nah, bad opinions. Spiderverse was mid by making a ton of very left-leaning political bias & coding which ruined already established characters form the last film which was actually great.
Interesting take. I didn't really notice the left-leaning bias but maybe that is because I am not a big politics person yet so I can't really have a say in that but I respect the take
bro not a strong start saying poor things is on the same level as oppenheimer wtf poor things was just weird, also listing the crappy movies you got some great lookin movies comin up g-k, pota, fall guy, dune, dp3, jkr2, inside out 2, (to be fair joker 2 may suck andkug fu panda ghost busters and furiosa suck) and you proceed to complement the flash barbie and have the audacity to hate on mario... yeah nah we dont agree
last year definitely slapped. anatomy of a fall, the boy and the heron, john wick 4, godzilla minus one, past lives were definitely certainly highlights of the year.
i generally focus on like art stuff coming out the year, mostly in film festivals. with this year, monkey man is already a major highlight of the year for me.
the director of poor things is already back with another movie coming out around june called kinds of kindness and it looks very fascinating. not to mention, there's other intriguing slower drama work to check out like Robert eggers' new take on nosferatu, a sundance banger called didi, which does kind of excite me, a really cool looking movie called the bikeriders, a Japanese drama film called evil does not exist as well as the new a24 horror movie saw the tv glow both dropping on the same day. definitely feels like great stuff is dropping in the coming months.
