About The Boys: THE BOYS is an irreverent take on what happens when superheroes, who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians and as revered as Gods, abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. It's the powerless against the super powerful as The Boys embark on a heroic quest to expose the truth about “The Seven,” and their formidable Vought backing.

Love how Giancarlo has two major roles as an elite player in a pharmaceutical business
You should check out the movie "Fresh" he plays a Puerto Rican drug dealer in that one
"pharmaceutical business" 🤣
A man with no powers who can stand up against Homelander and yet teach him important lessons about life , he is probably the father that homelander never had
A very toxic father-son relationship but yes, he is essentially the only real father figure Homelander ever had. Homelander always craved for a family but all he really had is the corporation that is Vought.
@@Nicholas_Chen_ Yeah, pretty much every sort of “active” parental figure Homelander’s had in his life has been a toxic piece of shit. Their particular brands of raising and nurturing him was practically a recipe for how to make a mentally broken serial killer:
There’s Vogelbaum of course as the head scientist responsible for molding Homelander into an ideal Vought product through isolation from society and inhumane experiments, and who only really started to feel any sort of guilt for the living hell and torture he put Homelander once he was old, retired, filthy rich, and bored with his life.
And then there was Stillwell, whose relationship with Homelander as both his mother figure and lover was particularly disgusting. Especially since, as was heavily implied in the canon final episode of The Boys: Diabolical, their “romance” didn’t start off as consensual on Homelander’s part and likely began when he was underage. I kinda wish the main series would’ve placed greater emphasis on that fucked up part of their whole dynamic. In hindsight, Homelander killing her in the season 1 finale is probably the only action of his that we can actually side with him on. He probably had A LOT of subconscious resentment toward her built up over the years, and him being violated like that gives strong context to his own issues with respecting others’ consent.
And, even though he wasn’t as “active” of a parental figure as Vogelbaum and Stillwell were, Edgar was similarly toxic toward Homelander, given that he was responsible for Homelander’s only known biological family member being shipped off to Russia and pretty much ensuring that Homelander would be utterly alone in his life. And, as badass as the scenes of Edgar standing up to and berating Homelander with absolutely no fear are, there’s an additional bit of twisted reasoning behind his lack of fear, besides his thinking of Supes in general as mere products of Vought. Edgar likely oversaw and bore witness to a lot of Homelander’s horrific treatment as a child and will only ever see him as the scared, depressed child locked in a cage whose only purpose in life was to serve as Vought’s tool.
Because homelander needed a father figure
Knowing the show… it probably has more to do with him having a humiliation fetish
@@tushardesale9833 He's a man child
“You are under the misconception that we are a superhero company,we aren’t,we are a chicken restaurant, and you’re the 2nd strongest super after Walter white”
"You are not up to Los Pollos Hermanos standards. You are simply bad product."
It's funny how the most powerful person in the show is someone who doesn't even have any power
Doesnt have Super Powers, but i can tell You that he has a Lot of power
It’s kinda like Batman and the Justice League or Iron Man in the Avengers. The real power is the power of wealth, respect and influence, which is even more impressive. I’d actually put Black Panther in this category as he is a literal KING and just commands respect, but he has powers.
If we learn in S4 that the Woods are one of his projects to counter Supes, then he truly is a genius
I kinda thought he was just playing all sides and planned for Victoria to ‘betray’ him
@@Nicholas_Chen_ It would make sense, how else would the principal have known about Homelanders involvement with the Flight when Starlight still hasn't released the Blackbox Footage.
"You are not a God , you are a simply bad product" 😬 cold and roast at same time
He's literally talking down to an individual who can kill him by looking at him funny!😮
But he doesn't because that mean Ed wins, he would never impress, surprise or earn an iota of his respect or fear which what Homelander craves more than anything
@@Higunner6precisely! HL has all superpowers to beat anyone but Soldier Boy called his true flaw out specifically. Deep down he’s just a guy with cape that wants all the attention. He’s a man-child.
El poder no te da respeto y uno no se arrodilla ante lo que no respeta
I love the way he says ‘man child’ 0:26 so cold but hilarious 🤣 There’s just such a comedic quality when the most serious, deadpan characters say the most absurd dialogues without any emotions
I really hope he comes back for a future season
Looking forward to seeing him in Season 4. I wonder if Homelander will no longer be afraid of him and hurt him.
He never hurts or kills those who aren't afraid of him, there's no point. Like a cat can't play with his food if the food is gonna say he is bad product. Though Stan is very likely to show up
They probably didn’t but I hope they brought him back in Season 4 cause not only his character gives me chills every time he’s on screen but His actor is just so GOATED 🔥🔥🔥
BY posting this and the tagline he might be
They couldn't have casted a better person for the role than him. He fits the character so well just like in everything else he's in
He just plays Gus Fring all the time lol
Well not all the time ,how about far cry?
Rumor has it he might be playing Professor Xavier in the MCU'S X-MEN flick. While I'm not wild about race swapping, he has the chops to play the leader of the team. And I'd be interested in seeing that.
He MUST return! the ultimate scene stealer
Giancarlo Esposito is so good at playing cold as ice characters. He's excellent at being menacing without ever raising his voice. Giancarlo Esposito and Charles Dance are the best at playing smart but menacing as hell characters. I'd kill to see both of them in a series together. Maybe as rival gang leaders or something.
Gustavo fring is the perfect example of it
its always the sweetheart actors too
"Dont you get it homelander, I am THE chicken man, i joined this company by starting a drug empire in a fast food place located in new Mexico, and while running that place i eventually discovered a new type of drug called compound V, which is 99.9% pure compare to my original recipe, thanks to a certain"cook"ofc, so if you think that we can't just replace you homelander, than you would totally be wrong, you are not a god, you are just simply bad product"
-Stan"gustavo"Edgar 🌚🌚
By far, my favorite character.
Afterall, Gus knows the business of product.
I love every role he plays
It's interesting how many characters in this series are dark, twisted takes on comic book characters. But Stan Edgar is an almost perfect expy of Lex Luthor with hardly any embellishments
tbf, Lex always had moments of frustration. Stan so far hasn't had a single one
@@066kshitizvsingh4he is the perfect lex, who actually knows all (about what concerns him)
reincarnation of Gus fring
He basically is superhero Gus Fring (also Moff Gideon in Mandalorian who's basically space Gus Fring) I don't like actors getting typecasted but in this instance it's justified
"Looking for my approval like I'm your daddy ?" 🔥🔥
Love Giancarlo acting. If you never seen “Fresh”, a 90s hood film. He’s good in that movie as a villain being what else, a drug kingpin.
I hope he's in season 4
8:51 Message between the lines: “You are not a God. I am your God”
Not gonna lie, how many of you would actually have Stan Edgar as a boss? I know he's a cold and emotionless man, but I don't mind being in his employment if he lectures me about stuff, specifically my role in the company and what benefits my actions have to him. Even if he's laying me off, I'll enjoy him lecturing on why he's letting me out.
He is the only one who makes homelander look Like a side character
The move to belize was definitely a breaking bad reference
Every dang role this actor touches turns to gold😢
this man is an incredible actor
He was born to play parts like this
Excited and terrified for season 4
0:39 Is the Battlefield 3 epic tank soundtrack
we don’t need the random background music… really takes you out of it
Pretty good summary.
I wonder if Stan takes care of his employees as poorly as Jeff does.
Fun fact, the Hebrew voice actor of stan edgar, yigal sade is also the Hebrew voice of Victor Quartermaine (Wallace & Gromit in The Curse of the Were-Rabbit), Gaston (Beauty and the Beast), Mr. Woolensworth (chicken Little), boss wolf (kung Fu panda 2), warden (megamind), Bagheera (2016 the jungle book), Rameses (the price of Egypt), John Smith (Pocahontas and Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World ), Akio Ogino (Spirited Away), Whitey (Flushed Away), Mayor Shelbourne (Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs), Mack, Hamm Truck, abominable snow plow and P.T. flea car (all in cars), Finn McMissile (cars 2) and more.
No one cares
6:05 i really like this line, its show how and why he is the one homelander afaird of
The way he says pharmaceutical is... orgasmic
0:54 I love this clip
Anyone pick up on the 'Belize' breaking bad reference when he's talking to stillwell about a promotion. Never noticed that until now XD
I wonder if he is also a Supe or just that intimidating and intelligent.
at 2:05 which episode is the one Stan and Madeline meet?
at the last ie on 09:05, what stopped homelander from lasering stan edgar?
I hope he comes back and tells homelander I told you so.
Tell the release date of Season 4🤧
We've seen it on Harley Quinn, but I think he'd be amazing as a live action Lex Luthor as well.
2:22 GUS FRING BEING SENT TO BELIZE BY SAUL GOODMAN?????
2:21 Belize? Is that a brba/bcs reference?
Amazon or whoever can you please upload these clips without the crappy music added in? Let the scene play out with the music from the show if there is any
I honestly can’t tell who I adore more as a villain.
In Game of Thrones Tywin Lannister had such a commanding voice. Legions of armies. Control over the most powerful house in Westeros. But he still had to deal with an outraging Grandson of a King who constantly made idiotic evil decisions without any thought behind it.
Tywin may not have been the one with the crown upon his head but everyone in the Seven Kingdoms knew he was the true King. He even managed to reign in his families idiocy and turn it to their favour a few times.
He had power, fear and respect.
Meanwhile here we have Stanford Edgar. He has no superpowers, no real control over his superheroes. But he still manages to reign in his companies golden goose every now and then. He puts John in his place quite a few times just to let him know he can’t get away with everything he wants to because without Vought he’d not have as much popularity and love as he desires.
Both of these men were such amazing antagonists despite having to deal with the true villains of the shows idiocy same as our Protagonists.
And yet both of them get defeated by their own hubris.
I’d die a happy man if we got to see Charles Dance and Giancarlo Esposito in a movie or show together.
I wasn't expecting battlefield 4 music.
I hope we haven’t seen the last of Mr. Stan Edgar
The power of a black
Man✊🏽
What does race have to do with it? Drugs are bad mkay.
Take my comment how ever you wanna take it brother.
He's interracial. African American mother from Alabama, an Italian Father from Naples, and was born in Denmark
Black power! Button!
Go A-train!
Is that the BF3 track playing ?
Who doesn't love Gustavo 🔥🔥🔥
Stan Edgard was the real Stillwell from the comics. I do like Madelyn Stillwell from the show, her interactions with Homelander are bizarre and interesting. However in the comics, James Stillwell was the calculating, ruthless and business oriented character that Stan Edgard turns out to be in the show
poor stan edgar 😢😭😢😭😢😭😢
When I go to Belize. Breaking Bad Reference Walter White sends Mike to Belize(you know).
Hopefully Stan is back in Series 4. I feel like he was a good match for Homelander
Where is trailer????
I think he has powers
Being balls of pure steel
3:36 Despite
Prime has ads and still just raised their monthly prices
Blud is literally gus 😂
You know he can kill you right? At this point it is a game of control your temper. If he loses his temper and kills me, I win, and he knows that.
Never mess with gustavo fring
When the fk is the new season coming?
Can you people have some patience post production takes long for superhero projects
@@SirFrasier5stfu no one cares
nexx momfh
You think this is a show about vigilantes fighting superhumans, but you'd be wrong. What the show actually is, is about an intelligent and suave businessman, running rings around every adversary.
They should never have killed off Madelyn. Never. Also, Edgar needs to make some serious plot twisting return.
Stan’s intense stare down kills more people than Homelander’s eye lasers
*DING DING DING DING DING... DING DING DING DING DING DING DING*
Does he has super powers too or just a crazy guy to talk a lazer guy like that.
Edgar is Batman!!
The boys season 4 new trailer??
There's a part of me that hopes Homelander gets a payoff of having enough balls to laser Edgar (and maybe do a nod to Gus Fring's death in Breaking Bad). Maybe that could happen in season 4 or 5
That’s sort of what i think might happen. Homelander is now unhinged and not bothered by following rules anymore and maybe is no longer afraid of Stan. With Neuman in the picture I think him lasering or hurting Stan or Neuman or both is quite possible
🤙 GUSTAVO FRING 🤙
I was never this early. The aura of Stan/Gus Fring is just irresistible.
They had to kill her? why?……such a shame
We hope to see more of him
Gus
Wtf with that background music ?🙄 as Stan Edgar would say "awful stuff"
I'm Gus
😮💨
3:40 Wonder what the reaction would be if Butcher told him "but i cant do crime in the open. Thats a black man's field of expertise".
Stan the man, stands up to Homelander and has no fcks to give
His face is literally ‘no fcks given’ like this 🙂
He’s basically Gus Fring, hopefully he doesn’t have the same ending with half his face burned off by the end of this show 😂
we dont want this shit we need season 4 to release
😍😍🗿🗿🤩
I really dislike him, he does his characters like a robot most of the time. I don't get the hype he receives. Btw this was not a best of compilation, I think they just showed all his scenes.
Stan was gangsta...he had homelander by the balls so much until vought turned on him.
homelander free roam game when?
