The questions in the video of course are not literally the actual questions from the test but we do work really hard to design our practice tests to be as similar to the real exam as possible. Hi guys, I came back to say that this video had all the math examples that the ATI TEAS will ask. I took my teas today and passed the highest on the math portion. Did my teas yesterday and got a 76.5 on my math section, I always get mixed up on my area and perimeter and I’m
More than sure I got those wrong.
Crucial to know for the math section:
Order of operations
Area and perimeter
Conversion of decimals, percentages, fractions
A bit of statistics with the skews
The metrics system:
Kilo, Hecto, Deka, (whole number), Deci, Centi, Millie
(The teas calculator does include the conversion of percentage!)
Overall this video is very much like the actual exam.

How did you do?
On Question 3, to get a faster answer, you can multiply 22% to whatever option answer numbers it gives you. Then you’ll get your answer. Just a thought if you want to do it shorter.
I like this better than many of those other sources. So helpful and it gets rid of all that unnecessary fluff.

I just want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for this very helpful informative video! I scored extremely how in my math portion of TEAS exam that I took this past Thursday (3/16) I passed the test! @@josefinaluna4236 the math part yes! So similar I literally just flew through that section and scored extremely high thanks to this video. Now I watched a science video too but it was nothing like the exam. So just study all the body systems, learn mitosis and meiosis, learn the cell and all of its organelles, how to read an element on the periodic chart with it protons and neutrons, know what ionic and covalent is.
I made a 73 on the math portion the first time I took the TEAS but took it again after watching this video & made an 86!!! So helpful!

Thank you. I took this practice test and got 85. Now I’m going over my errors, then try this practice test once more before moving on to the Science section. My goal is to take TEAS right after finals, December 2023. Admission deadline is sometime in Jan of 2024.

You make it look so easy. I wish it were this easy for me. I took the NLN four times and failed. I could never pass the math section. I could not do math without a calculator even if my life depended on it. The test I took allowed no calculator idk about the TEAS. :(
The only nursing school I was able to get into was NYU Rory and that is because they do not require the TEAS or NLN entrance exam. However, their tuition is almost 90K for a bachelor’s in nursing and it’s a day program only which means I would have to quit my job. I had to do my bachelor in health admin but nursing is what I wanted to do. :(
We're glad you liked the video! The best way to get better at math is to do as much practice as you can. Luckily the TEAS exam does provide a calculator for the test so that should help you. NYU Rory is definitely on the more expensive side, I think it could be worth it to study for the TEAS or NLN if it meant you could get accepted to a program that is cheaper.
I take my teas test in aug and super nervous. I suck pretty much in math and this video explains everything clearly! i hope its something similiar to this!

Review this!! I took my teas on 4/21/23 and made an 80% overall. I watched this video about 10 times. And also remember your formulas. This video is basically the math portion on the Teas. Thank you . Best of luck to all🤍

@@stephanieorduna7148 Study formulas( Area and perimeter of triangle, rectangle, circle) Percentages, Combining like terms. For science, study cell biology and Endocrine system. Make sure you know the blood flow through the heart. I had more a&p than chemistry. I used the Mometrix study guide and the ATI study guide and UA-cam. Familiarize yourself with practice questions. The wording is weird on the test also. So read the question carefully. Hope this helps☺️

I was using the mnemonic and instead of khdwdcm i was using "king henry died while eating chocolate cake" omg!! no wonder i could not get the answer.

Hi for the triangle and base question with 90 and 80. Where did you get 3600 from. I know you might not see this or replay. But I'm still trying to figure out how you came up with the answer. This is great so far, but after watching a few problems, how do I figure out the conversions... like how many feet in a mile as well as how many ml vs liters...
It is something you need to memorize
I just took the TEAS. I recommend going to a testing center vs doing the test at home. No paper is allowed with you and you'll need it when trying to figure out things. Due to this, I messed up some questions. Had I had a paper, it would have been easier.

How did you memorize the conversion liters to quartz
I guess just repeat them in your head until yor memorize them
Question. In the distribution and combining like terms problem, why is: -6x PLUS 5x not -1x? How is it just 'x'? I thought if we added a positive to a negative we move closer to zero. This problem is appox at 11:17 in. Thx to anyone who can answer this for me.

@@user-ic2dm8id9k unfortunately I missed it by 2 1/2 points I was supposed to get a 55 I got a 52.6 what got me was the science portion it was stuff on there that nobody was ever taught in school a lot of it was Albert Einstein type of hard it was horrible stuff I ain’t never seen before yeah science was the killer for me it kinda discouraged me from the medical field I’m thinking about cosmetology now but I may just focus on just LPN instead of RN start with baby steps
