Thanks Brian for sharing the math section with me. I have taking the TEAS 7, 3:times and studying now to take again next month. I am going to keep practicing the math problems over and over. Hopefully eventually I will pass with the score that I need to get in to my nursing school.
Hi there! These questions are meant to mimic the TEAS exam. They are not exactly the same questions but they are going to be the same difficulty for the TEAS 7 exam.
Hi there! You multiply by 4 and 5 because you need to make the denominators of both fractions match 40. 40 is the least common denominator. I hope this helps and let me know if you need further clarification. 😀
Hi Alejandra! Cross Multiply - theres an equal sign in between - used for Ratios and Prorportions Multiply Straight Across - there's a multiplication sign between the fractions
Imagine you cut a cereal box into each of its sides. You would have a front/back thats the same size, the top and bottom would be the same size, and the sides would be the same size. That means you would have three pairs of matching sizes. The terms (large, medium, small) are more about the idea for the sizing. The front/back would be the largest, the sides would be medium, and the top and bottom would be the smallest. If you draw out the net of the shape (a 3D shape broken down into its 2D parts) you can label the sides of the each piece of the 2D shape if the visuals are more helpful.
When we have a positive number divided by a negative number, our answer is always going to be negative. When we are adding a positive and a negative number, the sign of the bigger number is the one that stays - I hope his helps!
There will not be any formulas provided. We recommend writing them down on your scrap paper right when you begin your exam so that you do not forget them.
Quick question regarding questions that involve basic addition and subtraction or multiplication like an example number 9 since we will be given a basic calculator during the test will we be able to use the calculator for every single question including these?
Because you have to follow Pemdas and find the square root of seven to the second power and add that to five which gives you 54 so you would multiply 3 by 54

Hi there! These questions are meant to mimic the TEAS exam. They are not exactly the same questions but they are going to be the same difficulty for the TEAS 7 exam.
can you please explain the last part of question 14. Where did the 4 and the 5 come from?
Hi there! You multiply by 4 and 5 because you need to make the denominators of both fractions match 40. 40 is the least common denominator. I hope this helps and let me know if you need further clarification. 😀
Great Video! Thanks NurseHub!! I take my TEAS next week :)
Good luck! You got this!
For #10 how do you know you're supposed to cross multiple and not multiply straight across ?
Hi Alejandra!
Cross Multiply - theres an equal sign in between - used for Ratios and Prorportions
Multiply Straight Across - there's a multiplication sign between the fractions
Hi can I please get a better explanation for question number 32?How did you determine the numbers for large, medium and small? Thank you

Hi. On question 22. How is it negative 7 at the end? I thought it would of been +7. Dont you keep the sign of the bigger number?
When we have a positive number divided by a negative number, our answer is always going to be negative. When we are adding a positive and a negative number, the sign of the bigger number is the one that stays - I hope his helps!

I take it the NurseHub Tip isn't on the test. Example a Celsius to Fahrenheit conversion? I probably need to memorize these.
Correct. You will not be provided with any conversions.
Will there be formulas on the test
Unfortunately, formulas are not provided on the test.

Hi Daniel! You will be allowed to use a calculator for every question.
are calculators provided during the test?
You will be provided with a basic 4 function calculator on your screen.

On the first question why didn’t you multiply the 3x5 together?
Because you have to follow Pemdas and find the square root of seven to the second power and add that to five which gives you 54 so you would multiply 3 by 54
