I actually loved Steve and Nancy together. He was definitely an ass in the beginning of the show but when he was with her through time u can truly tell how much he loved and cared for her.

Honestly, I like them more than her and Jonathan. The only toxicity that Steve and Nancy had was Steve's obsession with popularity and Nancy's grief over Barb. Now that Steve is out of high school and Nancy got closure for Barb, the two could actually be good together.

Never really got why Nancy left Steve for him. My best guess is she was traumatized by the incident with Barb and just had those bad associations of guilt around Steve. But I think she loved Steve more and I hope they let her work past that. I always liked her character. Idk why she gets so much hate. She never cheated on Steve with Jonathan. They were broken up first.

Went from Jancy to Stancy real quick. I’m sorry but it’s clear Johnathan and her are in different places. Both have changed and pulled apart. For Steve and Nancy they changed for the better. Steve realized the person he wanted to be and his priorities (especially with relationships he’s actually learning/trying to be a real boyfriend). Nancy stopped pretending to be someone she isn’t and establish her own identity as a woman. Both have matured for the better. They deserve another shot. I love this couple troupe… breaking up but becoming better people? And it’s clear since they broke up that Steve was never over her. He was always aware how much he screwed up in their relationship (she did too but y’all can’t lie that season 1- beginning of 2 was Steve). Now both are just… right for each other. Nancy sees him in a new light and Steve sees the real Nancy now and isn’t trying to change her anymore. That is a healthy relationship. Rooting for them!! Never switched gears so fast before on a ship
i truly love steve and nancy together since day 1!!! they were so cute!, also the tension between them in season 4 is everything! I've missed them two together so much! i like jonanthan too, but i will always prefer nancy with steve.🥺😩😭

They were fighting but they were not officially broken up. She goes on a trip with Jonathan and sleeps with him. Steve during this time shows up at her house to try to makeup but she is gone. Later Steve sees her with Jonathan, sees she's into him and tells her it is OK to go with him. But she definitely cheated on him in season 2. I feel like Nancy has been given a pass on her bad behavior that season. There was never any kind of apology for it. She had a chance to be with Steve but she rejected his love and chose another guy instead. The problem with Steve and Nancy together is you got to explain why it failed the first time. He loved her but she didn't love him back and then she wanted to be with another guy. You cant change that fact. Maybe you can say that she didn't know what she had until it was gone.

this is so awesome ;; i've always believed that steve and nancy would end up back together, after they both had their post breakup glow-ups, so I really do love how their relationship is shifting around again in s4 so far. their relationship really did serve as a springboard for them to both of them to shake off the pressure of trying to be who everyone wanted / expected them to be, so they could come into their own, and now they're both total badasses in their own right! so it'd be really satisfying for them to realize that their feelings and their chemistry are still there, even if they've both changed so much. steve's feelings for nancy were always right there under the surface though, and sometimes not even under the surface, considering he literally t-boned billy's car at top speed when he saw that was the only way to save nancy. he's obviously very protective of the kids too, but he's *always* stepped in to protect nance. and nancy's first reaction to robin in s3 was super telling, which is only confirmed by how she acted around her initially, and robin feeling the need to specify that she and steve aren't dating. anyone trying to say they 100% got over each other hasn't been paying much attention. plus i always found it ironic that people would call stancy "toxic", when really they were just two kids who didn't know who they were yet trying to be in a relationship when they weren't ready... meanwhile the ENTIRE foundation of jonathan and nancy's entire relationship is "shared trauma", which is actually genuinely toxic as hell. soooo no, as a nancy fan, i'm not all that sad that it looks like jonathan might have just been a detour for her, just because he happened to be as emotionally invested in taking out the thing/establishment responsible for kidnapping will and killing barb as she was. because that's not a good reason to be in a relationship with someone, at all. ..ty for coming to my ted talk.
I don't know anymore i swear lol. I loved Nancy with Jonathan but in this season Jonathan is being such a coward and its turning me off. Like he's avoiding her and not being honest at all. Its not Nancy's fault for falling out of love little by little. And we can clearly see how much she care about our boi stevey and she's ready to protect him anytime. It just shows her heart has still fire for Steve and Steve never really got over her too as we can see how protective he is too of Nancy. I think stancy will be adorable just like they were before but still I'm having a foul feeling because it feels like Nancy is cheating on Jonathan 😭

I like Nancy and Steve. Find it a pity that many claim that this could affect Nancy's development. But that's not true, she herself has developed and follows her intuition. Regardless of who she is with. Sure, I like Jonathan and Nancy too, but I personally don't feel much passion there. In the end, what matters is that every ship deserves acceptance. I can understand the hardcore Jancy fans. Still, I hope Steve doesn't die. He has such good character development that is very authentic. So does Nancy.
I don’t think it will affect her development. I don’t understand it. Nancy has now come to a point where she knows the person she wants to be. She’s not changing herself for a guy, she’s not trying to hide herself anymore. She accepts who she is now and also sees the person Steve has changed into. I don’t think she regrets her choice because Steve wasn’t a good boyfriend either. Both had to “mature” in order to grow and now get together. It makes sense. Honestly anyone who hates them together has never been in a relationship and is probably a Bughead shipper. Stancy is the mature ship
I actually really enjoyed the storyline for Nancy and Steve. You can tell in the beginning that they are each other twin flames. Sometimes, twin flames go through a separation period, and whether the separation ends up being permanent depends on that particular pair. They both was very young and separated for 3 years (?) Twin flames always come back together in the end, it’s emotion of roller coaster. I don’t actually mind if they get back together. I pretty sure Jonathan is going die.
See I would agree that maybe there shouldn't be an endgame between either, but my mind changed after she jumped in that water to save him. They better end up together because if they don't what was the reason of even bring this story back up. I had finally got over them just for the writers to revive this storyline. What do you guys think, will they? won't they?
There are only 2 reasons why they are doing this: 1: Steve always ends up with a broken heart, and he has shown to be very in love with nancy all seasons and they are going to make him happy 2: One of them will die and they want to make it more painful

Steve and nancy has been my fav couple since start ,ik steve was a jerk at first but he improved a lot ,he was always around wanting to protect nancy no matter what happens ,he gave her space when she got with jonathan steve deserves love
so the writers spend season 1 separating them, season 2 and 3 putting nancy together with Jonathan only to separate them in season 4 (I know steve changed, but still it feels like extra drama)

I think atm Nancy sees him in a new light. This is the first time they really have spoken and interacted since they broke up. She sees he has changed. I don’t think she’s in love with him yet but who knows, their is one more volume. I think she has to put things into perspective. What does she want in a relationship? It’s clear both of them have matured and changed for the better and get along well. But Johnathan changed for the worst and they are pulling apart.
I'm glad to see a Steve/Nancy vid! Nicely done! I haven't been team Steve or team Jonathan in the triangle up until now, but love the evolution of Steve, and given where each character is at right now, this progression in the story makes sense from a writer's perspective. Just hope Steve doesn't die.

A lot of people are talking about how this is Steve's ending in the series and that's why they brought back his story with Nancy and I would agree too, but the thing is that many characters pointed out how also Nancy hasn't really moved on. I disagree about the vampire diaries, hated Elena with Damon. I like Nancy and Jonathan but I'd be less mad about her getting with Steve than I was about Elena getting with Damon.

this storyline doesn't make any sense. Why go back to this? She was with him in season 2 for almost a year when he was already a good guy, but didn't love him (and sort of cheated on him). Why again with this stupid love triangle? "WE LIKE STEVE BUT WE DON'T LOVE STEVE". WE ALL HEARD THAT. Steve had so much development without this stupid shit... Why did they do this when he had grown so much as a character?
He wasn’t a good guy in the beginning. He told Robin he wasn’t even ready to be a boyfriend. They both have changed for the better. And she didn’t cheat on him… she never even made a move on Johnathan until she broke up with Steve. Let’s not act like Steve was a perfect boyfriend. Both had things to work on. Clearly it was a simple high school romance.

when there is only two smart mature girls in the whole city and one of them is a lesbian there might be a problem for those who like girls- I mean the "kids" group (there are not kids anymore, but whatever) has Max, El, Dustin's girlfriend... while Jonathan, Steve and Robin are like "so there is 1 option and it's Nancy" Robin found herself someone to have a crush on (Vicky?), but she has like 2 lines of dialogue lol, and we don't even know for sure if she is queer. and Christy, who might have been a well-written character, is dead (it's a pity, i think her and Eddy might have had a good chemistry) I am personally team Steve, I think Jonathan and Nancy in S4 have some serious issues with communication (not only Johnathan, Nancy as well, because she clearly has a lot of anxiety about everything but doesn't want to admit it even for herself). I like the idea of Steve and Nancy together, they actually have much more in common than it seems at the first glance. But we must address the fact that Nancy isn't perfect for Johnathan or Steve, she is simply the only one who has basic human characteristics. She is brave, carrying, ambitious, sometimes sarcastic and bold. She has some unresolved trauma for sure (like damn girl, that Barbara stuff looks unpacked for me). She is wonderful, but not a perfection, while both Steve and Johnathan perceive her as, well, perfection. For example Nancy has a tendency to slip from a romantic relationship, like she did with Steve and now doing with Johnathan. Steve and Nancy didn't work because of Nancy too. I mean Steve messed up because he was a total jerk, but she messed up to, because she didn't have any communication with Steve, while he was trying to talk to her, apologized for being an ass and all. I don't think it's her fault, I think she doesn't do this communication stuff because she doesn't admit it to herself. Murray said once that Nancy is too scared to let herself be who she is, and I think it might me true. That would explain why it's so hard for her to say what's wrong in a relationship. Anyway, what I am saying is that Jonathan and Steve are both good for Nancy, but in order for ether of this relationship to work Nancy has some serious stuff to unpack. I think Vecna is going to push her through that. Maybe she will finally stop blaming herself for Barbara's death and will allow herself to love Steve, for God's sake. Jonathan, on the other hand, deserves a separate conversation. Long story short, I think he doesn't really develops his character unlike Steve, so even though I think Jonathan is nice, I don't think that his relationship with Nancy can work anymore. My guess is in the next episode, Steve will snap Nancy out of Vecna's trance by telling her he loves her, and that what happened to Barbra was all his fault. I think Steve will plead with Nancy to come back, telling her how she wasn't to blame for Barbra's death, while tearfully professing his love for her and how special and great he thinks she is. I think that would be enough to draw her back to reality.

I really love Steve. He's one of my favourite characters in this show. I like Nancy, but I think Nancy and Jonathan like a couple is better. I see BIGGER changes in Steve as a character (actually because of his development, I fell in love with him), he really became more serious and responsible. Even though I like the chemistry of these two this season, I still miss Nancy and Jonathan and I want to see them together :( It doesn't mean that I want to Steve's death!!! I just don't see him with Nancy
People are far too harsh on Nancy!!!! Seriously she was just a kid when all of this started and never got a second to process any of it. I think the writers are going to explore more of her pain and grief in the second part, something the show has really skipped till now. Her relationship with Jonathan has been a crutch for her, a way to escape her guilt and trauma. I'm not saying that they shouldn’t be together, but the girl needs time alone to heal.

Steve is gonna bite it. Vecna is basically Freddy Kruger because he gets you basically in waking dreams and "Robert England" is in Stranger Things he's number one's dad. Guess who one of our heroes name is......NANCY! the main hero of A Nightmare On Elm Street! And she never died in her story. I think they did this just for Robert England because he passed away. Steve will most likely die for her seeing how the Fire club dude was like "Nancy jumped in without hesitation to save you" and now he will do the same but he unfortunately won't be going back home. That's my theory.
This was one of the favorite plot lines of season 4. But this makes me think that one of Steve or Jonathan is going to die coz Nancy can't have two love interests

I have a sinking feeling that Steve will risk his life for Nancy in the finally and die right before he confesses his feelings. Eventually, Nancy breaks down and Jonathan comforts her and they will end up together. I like Steve and Nancy but tbh Jonathan and Nancy to me are endgame
I defos feel like Steve and Nancy have better chemistry. I think if Steve could choose, he'd be with Robin (I mean he even admitted it), but he definitely needed a best friend and he found that in Robin. Ironically, Nancy and Robin's blossoming friendship was something Nancy needed too. And considering how Steve's and Nancy's relationship ended, there was feelings left unresolved on Steve's side. Having gone through major growth and character development, Nancy sees the potential she probably saw in Steve when he was king of Hawkins. It's probably pretty refreshing to her too. I support it. Steve deserves his happy ending. Or closure at least.

Nancy sees him in a new light and Steve sees the real Nancy now and isn’t trying to change her anymore. That is a healthy relationship. Rooting for them!! Never switched gears so fast before on a ship

They were fighting but they were not officially broken up. She goes on a trip with Jonathan and sleeps with him. Steve during this time shows up at her house to try to makeup but she is gone. Later Steve sees her with Jonathan, sees she's into him and tells her it is OK to go with him. But she definitely cheated on him in season 2.
I feel like Nancy has been given a pass on her bad behavior that season. There was never any kind of apology for it. She had a chance to be with Steve but she rejected his love and chose another guy instead. The problem with Steve and Nancy together is you got to explain why it failed the first time. He loved her but she didn't love him back and then she wanted to be with another guy. You cant change that fact. Maybe you can say that she didn't know what she had until it was gone.

this is so awesome ;; i've always believed that steve and nancy would end up back together, after they both had their post breakup glow-ups, so I really do love how their relationship is shifting around again in s4 so far. their relationship really did serve as a springboard for them to both of them to shake off the pressure of trying to be who everyone wanted / expected them to be, so they could come into their own, and now they're both total badasses in their own right! so it'd be really satisfying for them to realize that their feelings and their chemistry are still there, even if they've both changed so much. steve's feelings for nancy were always right there under the surface though, and sometimes not even under the surface, considering he literally t-boned billy's car at top speed when he saw that was the only way to save nancy. he's obviously very protective of the kids too, but he's *always* stepped in to protect nance. and nancy's first reaction to robin in s3 was super telling, which is only confirmed by how she acted around her initially, and robin feeling the need to specify that she and steve aren't dating. anyone trying to say they 100% got over each other hasn't been paying much attention.
plus i always found it ironic that people would call stancy "toxic", when really they were just two kids who didn't know who they were yet trying to be in a relationship when they weren't ready... meanwhile the ENTIRE foundation of jonathan and nancy's entire relationship is "shared trauma", which is actually genuinely toxic as hell. soooo no, as a nancy fan, i'm not all that sad that it looks like jonathan might have just been a detour for her, just because he happened to be as emotionally invested in taking out the thing/establishment responsible for kidnapping will and killing barb as she was. because that's not a good reason to be in a relationship with someone, at all.

I don't know anymore i swear lol. I loved Nancy with Jonathan but in this season Jonathan is being such a coward and its turning me off. Like he's avoiding her and not being honest at all. Its not Nancy's fault for falling out of love little by little. And we can clearly see how much she care about our boi stevey and she's ready to protect him anytime. It just shows her heart has still fire for Steve and Steve never really got over her too as we can see how protective he is too of Nancy. I actually really enjoyed the storyline for Nancy and Steve. You can tell in the beginning that they are each other twin flames. Sometimes, twin flames go through a separation period, and whether the separation ends up being permanent depends on that particular pair. They both was very young and separated for 3 years (?) Twin flames always come back together in the end, it’s emotion of roller coaster. I don’t actually mind if they get back together. I pretty sure Jonathan is going die.

I think atm Nancy sees him in a new light. This is the first time they really have spoken and interacted since they broke up. She sees he has changed. I don’t think she’s in love with him yet but who knows, their is one more volume. I think she has to put things into perspective. What does she want in a relationship? It’s clear both of them have matured and changed for the better and get along well. But Johnathan changed for the worst and they are pulling apart.

A lot of people are talking about how this is Steve's ending in the series and that's why they brought back his story with Nancy and I would agree too, but the thing is that many characters pointed out how also Nancy hasn't really moved on. this storyline doesn't make any sense. Why go back to this? She was with him in season 2 for almost a year when he was already a good guy, but didn't love him (and sort of cheated on him). Why again with this stupid love triangle? "WE LIKE STEVE BUT WE DON'T LOVE STEVE". WE ALL HEARD THAT. Steve had so much development without this stupid shit... Why did they do this when he had grown so much as a character?
He wasn’t a good guy in the beginning. He told Robin he wasn’t even ready to be a boyfriend. They both have changed for the better. And she didn’t cheat on him… she never even made a move on Johnathan until she broke up with Steve. Let’s not act like Steve was a perfect boyfriend. Both had things to work on. Clearly it was a simple high school romance.

I am personally team Steve, I think Jonathan and Nancy in S4 have some serious issues with communication (not only Johnathan, Nancy as well, because she clearly has a lot of anxiety about everything but doesn't want to admit it even for herself). I like the idea of Steve and Nancy together, they actually have much more in common than it seems at the first glance.
But we must address the fact that Nancy isn't perfect for Johnathan or Steve, she is simply the only one who has basic human characteristics. She is brave, carrying, ambitious, sometimes sarcastic and bold. She has some unresolved trauma for sure (like damn girl, that Barbara stuff looks unpacked for me). She is wonderful, but not a perfection, while both Steve and Johnathan perceive her as, well, perfection.
For example Nancy has a tendency to slip from a romantic relationship, like she did with Steve and now doing with Johnathan. Steve and Nancy didn't work because of Nancy too. I mean Steve messed up because he was a total jerk, but she messed up to, because she didn't have any communication with Steve, while he was trying to talk to her, apologized for being an ass and all. I don't think it's her fault, I think she doesn't do this communication stuff because she doesn't admit it to herself. Murray said once that Nancy is too scared to let herself be who she is, and I think it might me true. That would explain why it's so hard for her to say what's wrong in a relationship.
Anyway, what I am saying is that Jonathan and Steve are both good for Nancy, but in order for ether of this relationship to work Nancy has some serious stuff to unpack. I think Vecna is going to push her through that. Maybe she will finally stop blaming herself for Barbara's death and will allow herself to love Steve, for God's sake.
Jonathan, on the other hand, deserves a separate conversation. Long story short, I think he doesn't really develops his character unlike Steve, so even though I think Jonathan is nice, I don't think that his relationship with Nancy can work anymore. Emotional trauma is real shit, like Murray said, but everyone in this show have at least one, so :D

My guess is in the next episode, Steve will snap Nancy out of Vecna's trance by telling her he loves her, and that what happened to Barbra was all his fault. I think Steve will plead with Nancy to come back, telling her how she wasn't to blame for Barbra's death, while tearfully professing his love for her and how special and great he thinks she is. I think that would be enough to draw her back to reality.

People are far too harsh on Nancy!!!! Seriously she was just a kid when all of this started and never got a second to process any of it. I think the writers are going to explore more of her pain and grief in the second part, something the show has really skipped till now. Her relationship with Jonathan has been a crutch for her, a way to escape her guilt and trauma. I'm not saying that they shouldn’t be together, but the girl needs time alone to heal.

Guess who one of our heroes name is......NANCY! the main hero of A Nightmare On Elm Street! And she never died in her story. I think they did this just for Robert England because he passed away. Steve will most likely die for her seeing how the Fire club dude was like "Nancy jumped in without hesitation to save you" and now he will do the same but he unfortunately won't be going back home. That's my theory.

I defos feel like Steve and Nancy have better chemistry. I think if Steve could choose, he'd be with Robin (I mean he even admitted it), but he definitely needed a best friend and he found that in Robin. Ironically, Nancy and Robin's blossoming friendship was something Nancy needed too. And considering how Steve's and Nancy's relationship ended, there was feelings left unresolved on Steve's side. Having gone through major growth and character development, Nancy sees the potential she probably saw in Steve when he was king of Hawkins. It's probably pretty refreshing to her too. I support it. Steve deserves his happy ending. Or closure at least.
